if i was reading that correctly they were getting $200,000 for Colorado oil & gas. but that means the merger is almost complet now!! thats good news.

8/3/2006 Update
I just spent the last 40 minutes on the phone with John Herzog the CFO of ARET. Just the type of guy I want at the helm and anyone who has spoken to him will attest to the same.
1. Avatar Dividend: They will be submitting a Form 10 by the end of August and these dividends will appear in your account as restricted shares. If you want certs, simply contact your broker. If you wish, they can remain in street name until they file for quotation on the OTCBB in the near future.
2. Merger: The merger is still very much in the works. If the merger was off it would have been reported via an 8k and PR immediately. There have been several delays and we will have further details before long.
3. Cobra Oil and Gas: He was glad to hear that I was up to speed on the July 24th SB2 and said the proceeds of the sales of shares will go directly towards the development of the properties mentioned in the SB2. There is no overlap between Cobra and Arete in terms of money changing hands for the sale of shares. Sidenote: I find it positive that one of the leases that Cobra will be be drilling in the future is a property from Colorado Oil and Gas. If something was not changing in the structure of Arete, why address this property outside of Arete?
One interesting topic we discussed was the staging of sell orders after an event that may drive the price up on a stock and the preservation of "free shares" to into the future. John also suggested that the full value of a some up and coming oil and gas plays may not be realized for about 2 to 3 years as oil price continue to sky rocket and revenues are factored in. Sidenote: John and the Arete team obviously see the their industry on a different time table than the rest of us. While we are looking for news tomorrow, they are looking at a grand scale play with a 2 to 3 year timeline. He knows we are anxious and he said that they would have offical news before long...
I also brought up the stock PGPM. He said that he wanted to do a little research on Pilgrim himself because a nickle seemed like an attractive price on a stock that was producing 180 barrels a day and sitting on large reserves. Maybe ARET is a good buy at just over a penny?
I am a practical trader and try not to read to much between the lines. Hopefully this was of some help to others. The truth of the matter is that John is more concerned about leaking information that might raise a red flag than he is about soothing day trader's concerns. They are not about diluting or pumping this stock, yet John is taking considerable time of his schedule to maintain contact with shareholders and drop hints of the long term value of oil and gas plays overall.

Can someone please fill me in on this Avatar Dividend? On what day did you have to hold shares to receive it and how many shares will you receive?

yes, potential is definitely still there; however, i feel uneasy with the fact that there have been a few set dates out there and so far nothing about merger, status, PR's or anything...
i'm still in..but not sure how much longer i should hang on...

Chart looks like it is way oversold , toooooo much selling! I thought i had the bottom called at .0105, it touched its previous low of .0082. Its to close to a merger for investors to miss the LAST bottom, this run should get around .025-.03, after merger who knows, this will run till announcement of merger now!!! JMHO. Watch for huge PUMP from alot of people, its and OIL and GAS play both commodities up today.
I will give you an update on Aggression Sports if i can find some more DD, once this is done the merger is complete. Action is coming in now though!

Dont take this as a buy or sell, i dont know when the right time for you to get in is but i have followed this stock since May, will be sad to see it go once the merger is complete.(maybe!!)
If I can tell you anything there will be alot of vulchers out tomorrow trying to pick up some scraps, this has been beat up lately since the merger announcement has been delayed. Alot of eager beavers out there waitin to load up the truck and make some nice change. Also, if im correct, there is no dilution from the shell company(ARET) so this could move in a big way.
GO EOD push, if this gets alot of attention tomorrow, could get an easy 30%er out of it,jmo.

This is just the thing to look for in a stock, a bunch of people getting confident again about a merger! Willy loves this stock! lol!
Speculation game, In my experience with reverse mergers, a majority of them are very very good for the PPS, i expect that here with this one.
Now the big question is - Who is this company moving into the shell. The way the OIL and GAS companies are right now (HUGE) this could be fun, no matter how big or small. Thats all i have to say about that. I have little thoughts about this company being very small, revenues have to exceed more than $10 million.

That sounds good. Looking for that news, they cant hold it down much longer, middle August is upon us and they dont want to get this merger started out on the wrong foot!! If i was the merging company i would be FURIOUS!!!! right now. You are alienating your potential NEW investors!!!

The good thing about ARET is that it is not a pinky but an OTCBB.OB and they have to file. They did file late but will have to have their filings within the next week or so. I make no predictions on filing time since we know how that goes with ARET...lol
