Big boards are not getting hammered they way I thought. I figured they would plummet on open today. Maybe the selloff in the rest of the world is a delayed response to the US selloff all last week?
In any event glad I moved my 401K to a cash account.

"big boards go back and forth, last week was just a momentum sell-off, take a little bit of the optimism out of people."
Not so sure I agree. I think it might be the start of a 20-25% correction, which is long over due according to some people. No way to know for sure..but with some of the risk I am taking on the pinks I figured it best to at least protect what I have for retirement!

ive got no vol on any of the stocks i own.. the only thing i can think of is that the big boys are on the sidelines waiting.. or everyones being tight with money from recession worries.. I dont want to get political.. but i think this iraq thing is starting to suck this economy dry... that and other things as well

Yeah something is wrong. Look at the speard for LFWK. Then look at the last trade? OMOG tanking on no volume..so typical actually. PBLS just stagnate.
IRAQ is getting old, IRAN is getting old, Oil is going down temporarily...economy is ready for a small recession with inflation going up. The gov really has no choice but to raise rates. We can't risk a serious housing bubble burst. We may very well have to wait a while and see. Probably not going to get the news we want while the big boards are tanking. Just my $0.0066 worth.

i wish i had more money to try to get these cheap shares at .0066 range.. seems cheap to me if you can get someone to sell to you

Very simple gnulnx lets take China we finance 35% of our national debt with them the buy our bonds t-bill and other debt paper . And we need them to do this if we are not offering ing a good rate they can always go eles where so we have to raise our rate and that cause a ripple through our enomy of higher rates to the cosumer to pay so our debt can be serviced. After all the fed is just a bunch of big private banks that sell and barrow money

Understood. However as a nation of investors will still control most of the money in the world. Sure it sucks for us at the consumer level, but at the investment level we are still in control. Short the dollar, go long oil, and play the pennies! :-)

Ok there are other factors but we can't have the engine die on the consumer end and thats what higher rate do in the end most of all a slow down in realestate you have a good knowldege and I yeild to your superior understanding .

LOL. Don't yeild to my superior understanding! I am not superior in any way. I only have a small limited view. I like to hear other views. In fact my view is always changing. You are right about killing the consumer if interest rates go up....but it might keep the housing bubble from bursting...maybe.
Heck man if had all the answers I wouldn't be on the all stock message board...i'd be on the front porch of my Cayman island hideaway.

Understood gnulnx it was not said to be offensive . all I mean to point out is that I believe in the veiw of the world that kenyes had slow down the cosumer end in any way and you throw your self into over production at the point of production and hence could be the begining of depression. When after WWII the capitalist used his methods and we had economic stability for a little over 30 years
