Im thinking that their are a lot of people on the sidelines looking at oppt's to buy oversold stock tomorrow afternoon. i do expect a bounce overall in the market mid-day tomorrow when investors jump back in. i dont know how it will affect this stock. i agree kay, this stock is far from dead. we have great news coming sooner, rather than later IMO. we all need oil. Its a matter of patience from here. balls in your court again adam...

I'm not sure I believe MM's are needed to make a market. People buy and sell things all over the world everyday without a MM. Look at the currency markets...no MM there. MM's only create fear..nothing else.
I think we need to do away with them....or they get a salary and that's it. I mean christ if you let me be a MM for 1 day I would walk away a millionaire. It's pure highway robbery...investers don't determine the direction of thinly traded stocks the MM's do and it's complete BS.
Had to get that off my chest. Cactus how do you know OMOG isn't being naked shorted? There really isn't any way you could know with out seeing the short ratio. The SHO list may or may not tell the tail. I'm not saying it is or isn't. The new SEC rule will be good for all stocks on the pink sheets.

because if the stocks arent delivered within a certain time period by mm's then the stock has to be listed on the threshold list. SEC law. doesnt matter if your are a pink or not. theshold list doesnt say enough though, like how many shares are shorted, and who the heck shorted them etc. sometimes stocks with small floats can show up there if their was a huge gain and mm's couldnt deliver them in time.. they dont like when that happens

Called it for the first part. I hope the second comes true too.
Its all just a waiting game here now. Patience is the keyword and I have lots of it. If it goes to .005's I'll just buy more to keep my average as low as possible and to maximize profits.
IMO this is not an IF but a WHEN stock.
Bought 225k more at .0067 today. Almost have my 1.5 mil I wanted.

Just a theory... between the people at this thread, and adam and a handful of others. I bet we own 75% of the float, and many of us hold, but sell a little on a run, only to buy in heavy when it goes back down. newbies to omog buy into a run and then sell when it goes down, shaken like a leaf on a tree. could this explain the recent trading cycle of this stock. how many times can it dip then run again 90%. done it twice in a month. it may do it again for the third time..the charm....

IESV is probably still on there because of the last run like VRDM. MM's claim they need to naked short to keep securities in check. My question is who the hell made them the judge and jury. The company issued a set number of shares. It's not the MM's job to "check" the price of a security. If traders want to bid the price up to astromical levels then so be it. I am becoming more and more anti MM.
I was invested in NFI a while back and a Hedge fund was in cahoots with the MM's on a naked short sell scam and it destroyed the share price of that company...pathetic...worse than bashers.
MM'S LET THE INVESTORS MAKE THE MARKET...YOU JUST MOVE THE PAPER...OK? GOT IT? IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.
I agree with you that we need to do away with mm's i could go give a long list why, electronic trading would solve the problem even though it could have a few drawbacks. Now back to OMOG i wish someone could convince me not to hit the buy button any more. I just do not see any oil stocks out their that have potential wells that are trading as low as OMOG and then add the high possibility of the settlement to this. We know oil is not going away we wish it was and the price is not coming down in the longer run. Cactus you brought the point of these developing countries using more and more oil on another thread. China is using oil up so fast and it is just now developing as a nation we are going to see consumption of oil skyrocket in the next few years and we all know we are many years away from using these alternative fuels to much of an extent. I have been in and out of some of these different oil stocks on the pinks and they have been good to me hope this one is also, i wish the drop in the pps. would discourage me but without bad news why would it.

Bleh.
Me too. I always thought it would be the perfect way to play a pump and dump.

I encourage everyone to read this before you consider selling. It is a letter from Adam to the share holders from April 2005. He is about as upfront and genuine sounding as any CEO I have ever investigated. Rock on Adam!

A little bit of oil math to kick start the day.
From this article I found out the stripper wells produce 2.2 barrles a day. I also learned that these wells are not so great under 18 bucks a barrel.
In my previous post Adam makes reference to 350 or so stripper wells.
So lets see what we get a year from our stripper well.
350*2.2*365 = 281,050 barrels a year.
Lets take a low ball estimate for oil at 50 bucks a barrel. Now if we subtract 18 bucks a barrell as extraction cost we are left with 32 bucks a barrel.
32 * 281,050 = 8,993,600
Assume operation costs of 993,600 dollars and you have a company poised to generate 8 million dollars on current assets!
I have only had one cup of joe this am so if someone finds an error in my math please post it for all to see.

Now since we are trying to calculate pps in a realistic fashion what is a normal multiple in the oil industry?
PE's for the big boy's
XOM = 10 BP = 13 CVX = 8
Let's just take the lowest and divide it by 2 since we are a pinky. That gives a VERY fair multiple of 4 for OMOG.
By multiplying the EPS by our multiple we can estimate a reasonable pps for OMOG like:
0.0047 * 4 = 0.0188
Ah yeah...don't think I will be selling anytime soon. I used very conservative numbers. Now just for fun lets repeat with 70 dollar oil and a multiple of 8 shall we?
70-18 - 52 52 * 281050 = 14,614,600 dollars a year minus a million for operations equals 13,614,600
EPS = 13,614,600 / 1,700,000,000 = .008
pps = EPS * multiple = .008 *8 = 0.064
Non of these number reflect other business operations or future estimates. Sell if you want to.

I think the problem we are having is people aren't buying at the ask. As long as people buy at a bid then the price will continue to drop. No way around it...MM's can't even stop that.
