Now... Keep in mind. I am pulling a trailer. So the first chance I get, I will hope off the xpressway and drop that thing off cuz it's killing my fuel economy. :-)
But as soon as I can do that, I am back on course and I am staying in my lane.
I am hoping that the car pool lane will be moving fast! :-)
Can someone explain the rules for the dividend payout? It appears that today was the cutoff date, which means shares bought today WILL NOT get the divvie. Is this correct?
Also, any thoughts on where this might go in the next week, month, year?
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the info ... but it appears I'm a day late. This is what I found regarding ex-dates:
1)The date on or after which a security is traded without a previously declared dividend or distribution. After the ex-date, a stock is said to trade ex-dividend.
2)This is the date on which the seller, and not the buyer, of a stock will be entitled to a recently announced dividend. The ex-date is usually two business days before the record date. It is indicated in newspaper listings with an x.
But thanks for trying to help. I appreciate it.

no, you had to buy before the deadline to get the new (worthless) shares.

Hey, everyone ... I want to apologize for a couple of my recent posts regarding the divvie ex-date.
I thought TODAY was the official ex-date. Sorry for posting bad data ... just call it one of my many "senior moments" and please don't think badly of me.
