The insurance of product genuineness is very popular for brand products abroad. Chinese insurance companies are attempting to share this attractive cake but this insurance has not started in China due to various reasons, especially the restrictions on the genuineness authentication technology.

Currently, the counterfeiting of brand products is increasingly rampant; while the TPID authentication management System solely owned by True Product ID Technology (Beijing) Limited is the most advanced technology which is capable to ensure product genuineness. Both parties agreed that if this new insurance is applied through this system, the reform of the Chinese insurance industry will step out a strong pace of great significance.

Mr. Li Ning, president of True Product ID Technology (Beijing) Limited, also introduced the importance of the TPID authentication management System on insurance confirmation and responsibility tracking in property insurance. Mr. Li took the conventional vehicle insurance as an example: During the claiming process of vehicle insurance, only the visible phenomenon is assessed according to experiences and no new scientific methods are used to authenticate the claiming. Actually many accidents related with vehicle insurance were caused due to braking failure, broken tires or broken braking oil tube because counterfeited parts were installed. Reasonably, if the vehicle owner had used fake parts and caused an accident, he, as the policy holder, or the fake part seller, instead of the insurance company, should bear all the responsibility. But the key is how to fairly, effectively and timely identify whether the parts, the direct cause of the accident, are genuine or fake. This is the key to responsibility authentication. However, True Product ID Technology (Beijing) Limited can solve this technological problem which has been outstanding to “responsibility tracking” and “brand authentication”. If the insurance company adopts the S-DNA elemental taggant information technology, it will effectively minimize or avoid unnecessary compensation, which does not only imply a huge profit margin to the insurance company, but also re-energize the insurance industry in fierce competition through “re-insurance” and enhance the insurance reputation.

After the introduction of Mr. Li, the management and other relevant personnel of Huatai Insurance Company Beijing Branch Office promised that they would carefully consider the proposal of Mr. Li, study the relevant policies on the creation of genuineness insurance in property and product insurance in China and the design of the insurance. True Product ID Technology (Beijing) Limited also made a commitment that, if any insurance company is optimistic about the huge social influence and considerable economic profits to be brought about by the new product genuineness insurance and take the lead of exercising this insurance in China, TPID will provide the optimized technologies for product security identification and authentication to back up the creation and smooth implementation with powerful technical guaranty.

Well maybe we will finally see some contracts start rolling in. Because I know that if Insurance companies can save money by not paying out because of any way finding the product to be fake they will. So I don't think that it will take them long at all to hear something from the ins. companies. I also know that if it proven to be successful in china then the U.S. will be next in line to indoc. that into there system as well. So maybe we will finally start seeing some money start to roll in and maybe we will be getting some huge contracts in store.

Mr. Wilson Chen, director of EDU INC. (Modern Logistics Management Company), visited True Product ID Technology (Beijing) Limited (hereunder referred to as TPID) and friendly discussed with the management of TPID about the strategic partnership. The two parties agreed to make full use of their respective technical and resource advantages, jointly promote the implementation of the “Grand China Logistics Management Plan proposed by EDU INC to provide an integrated logistics service platform and quality services to customers, and eventually to achieve a close strategic partnership. In the end, the two parties signed an agreement for strategic cooperation.

EDU INC., a modern logistics management company established in BVI, is engaged in services involving the whole flow processes of cross-industry semi-finished products and materials from the origin to the destination, as well as the related information. Its service links include the organic combination of transportation, storage, handling, processing, sorting, distribution and information, so as to form a complete supply chain and provide multi-functional integrated services to customers. Its plan is to set up a complete logistics system in the Chinese market to combine all links involved (such as procurement, supply, storage, transportation, processing and packaging, etc.) in modern technologies and scientific management modes and thus form a complete system. By now, the integrated logistics service platform set up by EDU INC. subject to its Grand China Logistics Management Plan has absorbed over 10 extra-large modern logistics enterprises, including China Railway Parcel Express Co., Ltd. whose service network covers all the trunk railways of China, Beijing Zongheng Union Logistics Co., Ltd. which owns 80% of the air transportation market of China, Yangtze Shipping Group which occupies 60% of the shipping market along the Yangtze River and Shanghai Hongda International Logistics Co., Ltd. These enterprises have signed a strategic partnership agreement respectively with EDU INC.

TPID owns world-leading technologies in China and the Asian district, including S-DNA, GEOTRACK, IDOLOGY, BIOMETRICS, and so on. They can be widely used in various social and economic fields to play an important role in logistics, ownership authentication, anti-counterfeiting of all delivery notes, asset loss prevention, brand authentication and responsibility tracking. Its GEOTRACK technology based on GPS, GPRS and GMS is of great importance in the entire logistics management and services.

International Monetary Fund estimated that the third-party logistics market in China was about 20 billion US dollars and today this number has increased a lot. In the future, the market scale will grow to 1335 billion yuan. In order to effectively minimize the logistics cost on the real sense, raise the security and accuracy of flowing cargos and enhance the competitiveness of Chinese brands in the world, EDU INC. and TPID decided through friendly negotiation to establish their strategic partnership to construct an integrated logistics service platform as per the Grand China Logistics Management Plan and provide quality services. Namely, EDU INC. will apply the security technology of TPID in the service platform, and through strategic cooperation on financing, operation and implementation, TPID will assist EDU INC. to effectively solve problems related with logistics security, while EDU INC. will actively promote the application of the TPID security authentication technologies on its logistics service platform, so as to provide logistics services through a more complete supply chain and contribute more to the healthy and sound development of the Chinese economy.

Am i reading to much into this?

We have a joint venture with China

We have a deal with China railways and parcels

We have a deal with China National Joint Rights Maintenance Cooperation Network of brand Enterprises (which i think the above says they have 600 members)

If you make products and want it moved in China, you will need TPDI to stamp it and track it

We just need the PR to confirm this

Kane, I read all of those comments on the other boards also......and it sort of makes you wonder if ssty and their perspective business deals are real. I would hope that since the SEC investigated and found no wrong doing last year that things are as they say.... The ssty haters on the stockhouse boards are a little bit too overzealous with their downing about Mc Kay personally........so it makes me think that it is personal. However, someone is consistently making the bids on all of the ssty and subsidiary stocks very.......low! I hope their continual bashing of ssty stops soon........or some major contracts come through.......

This guy that Bendis hired also is impressive

John G. Voeller, ASME White House Fellow and CTO, CKO, SVP, Black & Veatch

In October 2003, Voeller accepted an ASME Fellowship in the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) for the Executive Office of the President (EOP). Because of very high security clearances from previous federal government consulting projects, he was able to perform in ways not common to a White House Fellow and his duties included:

, OSTP representative and co-leader of an eight-month effort writing the first all-agency plan directed at a specific need - the Critical Infrastructure Protection R&D Plan (CIP Plan). This effort brought capabilities of the federal government together to address a vast array of issues important to protecting our Nation's critical assets in 17 sectors of industry and government.

, OSTP representative to the CIP Plan, Voeller wrote early drafts of the plan and provided agencies with an understanding of what it should contain and how it might be structured. Voeller's writing is in all sections of the final document and he provided the major graphics used to explain this complex plan that will be updated annually and guide all future CIP investment.

, OSTP representative for developing the Homeland Security R&D Strategic Plan, developed on a very short schedule to provide the White House with a view of strategic priorities in time to affect the 2005 budget process. Voeller drafted the CIP section of this plan in one day and provided review and comment as edited by DHS officers.

, Consultant to the CIP Plan, Voeller developed a more detailed plan for securing cyberspace beyond the needs of the original CIP Plan. For this effort, Voeller developed a unique, comprehensive, project-level database of all cyber efforts throughout the federal government. A similar database, focused on all aspects of cyber-security, was used to guide the CIP R&D effort as well as by the President's Information Technology Advisory Council (PITAC) to develop a report to the President on the status and needs for cyber-security.

, Cyber-security advisor to OSTP, Voeller reviewed and provided comments and edits to legislative and agency testimony involving IT, cyber-security, homeland security and major business mergers requiring federal review and approval.

, Voeller was Co-Chairman of ASME's Critical Asset Protection Initiative (CAPI) that led eight teams of world experts in planning first-responder actions and risk analysis of terrorist incidents. This project helped spawn ASME's ITI, LLC, the vehicle by which Voeller will continue his important work in Washington, DC.

Voeller has also been the Technical Leader for Chemical, Biological, Radiological Technology Alliance (CBRTA), working on advanced technology to deal with terrorist threats with 13 companies including Honeywell, 3M, Motorola, Lucent, General Dynamics, Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, Veridian, Cargill, Becton Dickinson, Syracuse Research Corp and RAE.

Voeller is a member of the corporate management team for Black & Veatch and responsible for visioning strategic technology directions. Voeller is a principal architect of POWRTRAK, the automated engineering system of Black & Veatch. POWRTRAK fueled the company's rise from thirteenth to first in the U.S. and the world in power plant design and delivery. Prior to his information technology career, John held engineering positions with Black & Veatch, Control Data Corporation, Westinghouse Turbine and Westinghouse Nuclear.

Voeller has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a registered professional engineer in the states of Kansas and Michigan.

Here is some info on GLobal Staff

About Globe Staff Consulting Corporation

Globe Staff Consulting Corporation is a subsidiary of Sure Trace Security Corporation. GSFC is one of France's leaders in the field of wireless security communications. GSFC has partnerships with Orange, French Telecom and Thales. The Company was formed for the purpose of selling and distributing wireless security communications services and is focusing on tracking, tracing and geolocalization of products and people. The company has developed a mix of security tracking services targeting businesses, governments and consumers. Our technology assists our customers to be informed in real time of the exact location of products or people with 2-way communication, and can be customized to meet additional client requirements. GSFC's innovative product and service offerings provide the best advantages to customers, including the smallest tracking modules with GSM and GPS dual capability, innovative specialty cellular phone models, and data capability, all hosted on an ASP server platform.

Overview of Technology.

eGeocardio

eGeocardio allows scientists to track the heart rate of people or animals. The integrated cardiometry is displayed with graphics and alerts on computers. eGeocardio first appeared at the Tour de France 2004 to monitor the cyclists. It was utilized by teams, trainers and television broadcasters to monitor the cyclists' performances. Our next version of eGeocardio, which has been advanced to the prototype stage, will include a GSM/GPRS/GPS module which will allow managers and fans to follow the progress of people or animals in real time including location, speed, and altitude. Over the coming weeks and months, Globe Staff will detail additional applications and developments of its groundbreaking technology in cardio-monitoring as well as in elder care, child safety, and law enforcement.

SIM TRACE V4X ACCEL

This device is able to detect and analyze 3-D movements with our new 3-axes(X, Y, Z)-integrated accelerometer. Through the device, we can detect, for example, the existence of a person's bodily movement and breathing rate. Limited or no movement or breathing can automatically cause the device to send appropriate data to the control center equipped with devices such as a laptop computer, server, cell phone or PDA. Type of data to be collected and transmitted may include the following: acceleration, shock intensity, map localization, GPS/GSM/goniometric, temperature, heart rate, etc. The next version will integrate a miniaturized camera.

Tag and Track

The "Tag and Track" system will provide a flexible, rapidly deployable assisted-GPS/GSM location-based service including an innovative integrated RFID technology that enables a wide array of customizable applications. The technology locates and/or tracks vehicles, objects, assets or people. Our customers will deploy a portable receiver or reader devices network, whether inside or outside a building, which will be used to pick up the signal transmitted by our "Tag and Track" Tracker with its integrated RFID Tag. The device is about the size of a cell phone. This system was originally conceived/developed on a Special Police Forces request from the French Ministry of the Interior. RFID chips don't have their own energy source; they are passive. They emit a signal when specific frequencies of radio energy are used to "paint" them. RFIDs contain tiny antennas that receive the RF energy and then re-radiate their encoded information. The Company's RFID chip will be a miniaturized, implantable radio frequency identification device that has the potential to be used in a variety of security, financial, and other applications. It is smaller than a grain of rice; the encoded information is captured by briefly passing a proprietary scanner or passing through any receivers.

Its Camino's turn this week,

In my opinion he will have SSTY uplisted by July 1st (my guess is Friday after the market has closed)

Bendis stated in Video number 2 that they have hired the largest IPR law firm in China and the one of the 4 largest accounting firms. If they can retain those firms, my guess is these contracts will be in the Billions

China faces pressure on IPR 5 years earlier than expected
(Xinhua)
Updated: 2006-06-20 09:14

China has faced international pressure on its handling of intellectual property rights (IPR) five to ten years earlier than predicted, a senior Chinese IPR governor has said.

"More and more Chinese companies have come under pressure from IPR issues with the rapid economic development in the country," Tian Lipu, director of the State Intellectual Property Office, said at a recent meeting on IPR protection.

Among the 111 complaints the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) has lodged under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, 42 have been against Chinese enterprises, according to Tian.

Under Section 337, imported products that allegedly violate U.S. IPR can be barred from entry into the United States. Complaints under Section 337 are made to the USITC and generally involve allegations of infringement of patents, trademarks or copyrights.

Patent payment and the amount of compensation foreign companies have claimed is increasing, Tian said. Chinese companies have paid 3 billion yuan (about 375 million U.S. dollars) for DVD production.

A growing number of industries are involved in IPR disputes, from lighter and pen manufacturing to bio-pharmacy and computer chip production, he said. Patent suits lodged by foreign companies are threatening the economic security of certain Chinese industries, he added.

"Domestic companies must strengthen their IPR awareness, improve their innovative capacities and be active in patent applications at home and abroad," he warned. "When facing lawsuits, they should heed domestic and international laws on IPR."

Mofcom: Famous brands will be better protected
(chinadaily.com.cn)
Updated: 2006-06-13 15:14

China will take three measures to help Chinese enterprises establish their own brands and compete in the global market.

Jiang Zengwei, vice minister of commerce and director of the "Brand Promotion" Team, said special funds will be arranged to support the brand-building efforts.

The other two measures include support for brand promotion overseas and publicity support.

Jiang said his minister will, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, arrange special funds to help Chinese companies build up their brands as renowned brands both at home and abroad.

Brand protection is an important link in the brand development strategy, and intellectual property rights protection is a precondition for brands. Therefore, he said, the Ministry of Commerce will strengthen the IPR protection and wage wars against fake products or copycats, and help create a healthy market environment for brand growth.

Agreement sets out to fight fakes
(Xinhua)
Updated: 2006-06-08 16:16

The agreement sets out a new framework for trademark owners and landlords to cooperate in the fight against sales and offers for sale of counterfeit goods under a proposed "two-strike rule".
"The protection of intellectual property goes to the heart of our economic relations," Mandelson said. "That is why this initiative is highly significant and should be a crucial step to maintain confidence in these markets."

Under the agreement, landlords will agree to suspend the operations of the vendor for a certain period upon receipt of evidence of first violation by the vendor. Following a second report of the sale of counterfeit items of any of the participating brands by the same vendor, that vendor's lease would be terminated and the vendor evicted from the market. The landlords of major Beijing retail markets, such as Silk Street, 3.3, and Hongqiao, have also agreed to work with the brand owners to develop a new standard rental agreement which clarifies the obligations of vendors to respect intellectual property rights and sets out the potential consequences for counterfeiting in greater detail.

If successful, brand owners will pursue similar agreements with landlords of major markets in other leading cities in China, including those in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The agreement was made possible after five judgments issued by the Beijing Higher People's Court against the landlord of the well-known "Silk Street Market" in response to complaints by five European luxury brands, Burberry, Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Prada.

China has generated huge numbers of statistics during the past week to epitomize its achievements in fighting piracy, counterfeiting and other IPR infringement activities. In the past five years, Chinese police have recorded more than 6,700 intellectual property rights (IPR) infringement cases, involving 350 million yuan (43.75 million US dollars), and have broken up a number of international criminal networks.

"Xiushui market will take the lead among landlords to join foreign brand owners in the fight against counterfeit goods by pushing vendors to change their business direction," said Wang Zili, general manager of Xiushui market. Wang Zili said Xiushui had two main markets: one selling traditional goods such as silk and tea to allure overseas customers, and the other selling fashionable clothes and ornaments to attract domestic customers.

Commenting on the agreement on behalf of the participating brand owners, trademark counsel for Louis Vuitton, Nathalie Moulle Berteaux said, "Counterfeiting in China of famous foreign brands has grown in the last few years in tandem with China's tremendous economic development.

Today's agreement is a private sector solution to the harms caused by counterfeiting and will hopefully result in significant changes in Beijing markets, in time for the 2008 Olympic."

China, US launch IPR protection co-op program
(Xinhua)
Updated: 2006-05-26 09:00

China General Administration of Customs and U.S. Trade and Development Agency signed a cooperation agreement on Intellectual Property Right (IPR) protection in Beijing Thursday.

According to the program, IPR protection experts from two countries will introduce to China's customs staff the international customs rules and regulations, rules and laws concerning IPR protection of China and US, IPR professional knowledge, and others.

Delegates of U.S.'s commercial field will also have chance to hold talks with Chinese customs staff to exchange their views on IPR protection.

China and U.S. have made a series of cooperation on IPR protection, including research on related regulations and staff training.

IPR protection has remained a major topic of the trade between China and U.S. China has taken a series of measures to improve its IPR protection, yet U.S. think that there is still a lot for China to do in the field.

The person on the other site doesn't usually give BS, but it sounds to good to be true

I have no idea when we will see anything, my guess is next week

I have to agree with you MCJA. He is usually very good at his information, but 20 billion? That is 20 times the amount of when they announced the initial/possible contract back in Nov/Dec time frame.

I will be keeping a look out to see if he has anything to back it up.

Read post 52285. I'm thinking he's getting Brand 315 mixed up where it says " It is learnt that during the Trade Fair Exhibition signed 315 cooperation agreements" That three hundred and fifteen cooperation agreements, not signed brand 315 to a cooperation agreement.

MCJA, what do you think?

Kane, the thing is we have a joint venture with Brand 315, so if they have the contract SSTY/TPID probable has a part in it.

I could be mistaken but SSTY provided a demo of 2 billion units over 3 months to brand 315. One of the previous video’s stated that it was such a success that they stopped doing seminars/sales at the request of customers and that they had all the business they could handle at this point.

The 2 billions units was projected for the daily output of units they would be tagging with S-DNA for brand 315

SSTY's JV Signs Contract With Chinese Government-Sponsored Anti-Counterfeiting Network
BEIJING and PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sure Trace Security Corporation (OTC: SSTY) announced that True Product ID Technology (Beijing) Limited has signed a service agreement with The National Brand Cartel Anti-Counterfeit Cooperation Network - Brand315.com, to deliver the True Product ID anti-counterfeiting technology. True Product ID Technology (Beijing) Limited is a joint venture owned 50% by a Chinese corporation, Beijing Suneray Zexin Technology Limited and 50% by True Product ID Technology Limited, 85% of which is owned by Sure Trace.

Brand315.com is established under the authorization of the Ministry of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China. It is a network introducing anti-counterfeit technologies, services and law enforcement for branded products. Brand315 provides security labels to top national brands in China and has 600 active members. Its clients cover all areas of consumer goods and, collectively, distribute billions of units of goods per day.

Brand315 has informed Sure Trace that it chose the Company's solutions, collectively known as True Product ID, because it recognized that the components of this one solution fit the varied and specific needs of all Brand315's members. According to the feedback from Brand315, what set the Company apart from other technologies is that we have demonstrated the present ability to deliver the technologies developed for China and deploy them across many different applications - from controlling and tracking counterfeit products, containers, authenticating precious artifacts, identity authentication, transportation systems, munitions and document management.

This initial pilot program contract calls for the joint venture to mark 2 billion labels of the top brands in China. If this initial pilot program is completed as planned, Company officials estimate that the total receipts under this contract will approximate $5,000,000 over the next 3 months. The amount may vary due to fluctuations in the currency exchange rate.

This number of items to be marked in this initial agreement, 2 billion units, is just the average daily amount of units commonly processed by the Brand315 network.

The Company will be providing scanners (both from Innov-X and AMCO), taggants, the services of its proprietary, remote, real-time authentication software system, KMACK, and networking to the central database.

James Mackay, the Chairman of the Company said, 'For the most part of the last year, our team here in China has worked extremely hard to provide China with a total anti-counterfeiting solution. China has chosen to take this important step in the war on counterfeiting to put a stop to counterfeit goods not only in China but the world.' He went on to say: 'True Product ID is very proud to support the Chinese government in establishing a world standard and building the spirit of 'one world one dream.''

Sure Trace Security sounds to be one interesting micro-cap company that I am actually interested in putting my money into.

Kane, I think there are to many questions to know what exactly is going on:

to me its says signed 1.02 billion yuan and the rest is projected

the other question is the lenght is it a 1 year or is it spread over 5 years ect..????

It is understood that the Fair Trade Fair, as the host, Jinan City will be earmarked 20 million yuan of high-tech achievements of funds, the city signed by the business and university institutes cooperation projects merit support.
