Phoenix Associates Land Syndicate Subsidiary Doubles Well Count in Kentucky
Wednesday, January 25, 2006 10:00 ET
COVINGTON, LA, Jan 25, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Phoenix Associates Land Syndicate (OTC: PBLS) announced today that the Company's Rome Oil and Gas subsidiary has drilled two new wells on its Rodgers Brothers Lease in Adair County, Kentucky, bringing the total number of wells drilled on the leasehold to four. The Rodgers Brothers Lease is located in South Central Kentucky and is known in the Oil & Gas drilling community as "Flat Wood Field." Executives at the Company noted that additional drilling sites are being surveyed and it is expected that a total of between 8 and 10 wells will be eventually drilled on the lease.
Production on these wells is expected to be similar to the production of the existing two wells. According to Petroleum Engineer, A. G. Collins, "These wells could produce as much as 15,000 - 18,000 barrels of oil each over the life of the wells."
Phoenix President & CEO, Paul Alonzo, commented, "I am very pleased with the exceptional strides made by our Kentucky operations to date. We continue to make significant in roads in terms of increased production capacity on lease assets we believe to have low-risk and high production profiles and are continuing our efforts to locate and acquire new lease opportunities consistent with our plan and philosophy of growth-at-a-reasonable-price."

now if we are pumping our average that would mean a total of 22 producing wells that would give us aprx. 608 barrels a day
another 6 permits and this is a guess but Rome oil has said they have a 65% hit factor on drilling not bad. That would mean about 4 more producing wells.
There you have it not counting anythig to be drilled 608 barrels a day not bad for less than 1 year in the oil business. IMHO glta

Remarkably, some of the world's best investors -- champions of fundamental analysis who eschew day trading -- have more than dabbled in penny stocks. Perhaps none are more famous, or more respected, than Peter Lynch.
Not long ago a Fool on our discussion boards revealed that Mr. Lynch's filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission showed a pattern of bets on thinly traded, ultracheap stocks. In a sense, it profiled Mr. Lynch as the ultimate rule breaker: willing to swing for the fences for a chance at massive returns, even if a few of the bets are caught for outs.
Mr. Lynch's list from that enlightening post is a virtual tour of penny-stock heaven. Varsity Group (Nasdaq: VSTY) has to be considered the pick of the litter. Picked up by Lynch in 2001 for somewhere near $0.30 per share, the firm trades for $6.20 per stub as of this writing. That's north of a 20-bagger, folks.

Phoenix is currently reviewing several potential acquisition candidates to complement the operations of Rome Oil and Pro-Gas. We currently believe that the oil and gas division, through growth and acquisition, could exceed $ 1 billion dollars in revenue by the end of 2006.
Now that's just the oil and gas division.
This company is HOT!!!!!!
Thanks bond and, return home safe!

Called PBLS today and asked some questions.
I was routed to Johnny Zornes. I identified myself and told him that I am an investor. Mr. Zornes was very polite. I asked about the status of Bayou State Trucking. He said that it was just starting to rebound. He indicated that a lot of the demolition really has not begun in New Orleans yet. He had strong hopes that it was going to pick up a LOT. I asked about Heaslip Construction. I told him I was having trouble finding a trace of either company. He said Heaslip is not doing that much right now. The construction focus is being placed on 3D which is very busy at this time. (me guessing here: construction business will consolidate to 3D. Why have multiples competing in the same city?) He indicated that there are numerous bids out with the government and private sector companies for contracts in the hauling and construction areas. He said a lot of focus was being placed on the energy side of the business at the moment.
He also said that for the next couple of weeks updates will be done frequently on the web site. I asked him directly if this was because they were having to be quiet because they were 'filing some papers'. Though not a direct confirmation his answer led me to believe the answer was yes. I was told we would be hearing a lot of things we were going to like starting in a couple of weeks. I took that to mean no PR for a while so fasten your seatbelts and grit your teeth if you have the nerve.
He also told me that he was both an employee and an investor. The implication is clear there. He briefly mentioned the pool company in Michigan, and he also said that Dennis Kowalski was heading to Ohio today. Not sure what that meant.
Just wanted pass on a personal conversation. I have no way of knowing if any of this is fact, but I was not given any reason to doubt it either. This morning I was thinking about selling. Now I am considering buying more.

LIL I agree with you it will be a very fun ride when it begins. It may drop a little lower which is fine with the Longs as it gives us a chance to load up some more. I may have to break my rule of not buying more till Audits are released and LOAD UP!!

Ohio is where our auditors are. Wonder what that means?
Here is one posters opinion.

"Thanks for the info Singlemalt. After reading your post I believe the mention of Dennis Kowalski in Ohio could imply the final step of the auditing process before form 10 is submitted. Our CPA firm Mira & Kolena is in Ohio."
Makes sense to me!!!
Hope this is actually what is happening. If it is the Audits should be completed shortly.
Does anyone know how long it would take for 10-k to be finalized at this stage?
