When are you all going to stop pumping a loser..

is like trying to get Gilligan pumped to fight Rocky.

NWPO is fried 25% increased on o/s since last quarter and no PR news on it, maybe that happened when it went from .50 to 1.50 typical

At least some of you made money, it's time to save your money and put it a winning stock.

Pumping a loser............

I think I can recall EVERY (yes, every) stock moving up and down. NEVER (yes, never) have I ever seen a stock go up and never move down.

Those that know the life cycle of a company (especially a new company) knows this. I guess Microsoft is a loser that everybody should quit pumping.

Stocks are easy, buy low - sell high.

Note to self: Pennies don't pay dividends, don't fall in love with a stock.

Basic and diluted weighted average common
shares outstanding .......................... 30,605,811 19,335,609 28,184,029 14,141,907
============ ============ ============ ============
Less than 4 million shares were diluted, Thats how they paid for the advertising blitz.
And I don't think they put all those shares on the market. 1.5 went to the new VP. 500K went to the new sales people they hired in the last few months.
Which means about 2M went for operating expenses. After figuring all the insider ownership leaves about 19M in the float. How often have you seen a stock move 20% on less than 50K volume?

Spare Backup to Offer New Smartscan Pricing for PC Users to Minimize Overall Storage Expense
Monday November 28, 9:00 am ET

PALM DESERT, Calif., Nov. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Newport International Group (OTC Bulletin Board: NWPO - News) announced today that its Spare Backup Inc. subsidiary has launched its Smartscan technology, which enables a customer to scan their computer in order to determine the size and scope of their storage needs. With Spare Backup business storage plans starting at under $10 per month for one gigabyte of storage, a customer can pick the plan that best meets their needs and budget requirements. With Spare Backup, ensuring the safety of critical data files is as easy as the press of a few keys and then we do the rest. A customer will never have to remember to backup or what to backup again and now we have even provided the tool to make this service as cost effective as possible. Spare not only provides fully encrypted redundant storage of data, it also creates a map of all the specific links and files necessary to restore a computer to its full operating state so that your files are not only saved, but they actually work like they did before with all of the computer's programs.

Commenting on this new offering, Greg Rusu COO of Spare Backup, Inc. stated; "Smartscan is another step in the evolution of Spare Backup. With this tool a business customer and consumer can better manage their backup dollars by knowing what they are backing up and the storage requirements to do so. In this way they can allocate the right dollars for the right plan in their budgeting. Once that is done, Spare does all the rest by seamlessly and safely backing up critical files on a daily basis without the customer ever getting involved, but resting assured that their valuable data is safe and can be retrieved at the click of a mouse with Spare."

eric, don't be the last person holding this one. Even the insiders are selling. Check Hagan selling off 125K before the plunge.
Thier management team has more turnovers than a bakery. The VP of Sales from Compusa and Vp of marketing are the latest dropoffs from thier web page. If you really want to find out what's going on with a company track down former employees and other companies they do business with. If they're all telling the same story then watch out. They are easy to find. If you need a list email thesmellsarebad at gmail dot com
Please, find something better to invest in. Frogster pumped this because he was paid to and its the only way it's going to go back up anytime soon.

Eric,

ItStinks just registered and this is is 1st post. He's talking like he knows a lot, which make me believe he's been here before. I'm not saying he's wrong, just that it is curious.

Anyway, the product is now available at Fry's (with a mail-in rebate which give you the product and 3 months for free). It has been on the shelves of CompUSA since October and also is available online on many websites. The next quaterly report will tell us if the sales were good or not. If yes, this will go back up easily. If not, well, I'll have to decide if I sell at lost or keep the faith. But until we see the numbers and for the fact that we've been oversold for a month, I will not sell.

Darkhawk,

I am with you on waiting until the numbers.

There is definately a product as it is on the shelves.

And yes, you are right! The bashers show up to let the mm's cover or load up.

I see this downward movement as a buying opportunity [Wink]

I should stop looking at the price everyday since I decided to wait until numbers come out (Feb. 2006). But I can't help it.

The PPS are back to where they were before they announced deals with CompUSA, HP, Fry's and all the online retailers. I just don't understand.

Hi Darkhawk, I haven't been around much anddecided to follow my own advice (LOL) and quit keeping hourly track of the stocks that I own, I'm still here at 71K at 1.10 If all my other stocks weren't in the toilet along with NWPO I would definitely be adding more at this price. Fords, visteon and microsoft are all in real stagnate positions so no selling at the moment, Instead I've been out spending the spoils of this excellent year in trading. way more fun and less stress. Take your own advice and relax until after the first of the year.
Good Luck Everybody. I'm still in!!

I'm glad for you Eric, your new shares already have more value.

Cycle, you're right, I should heed my on advice and relax. By the way, I did my part for Ford, bought a Focus ZX5 last september.

I wish I could spent more on NWPO because I would definitely average down. I freed some cash earlier this week by selling JDSU at 59% profit, but decided to invest right back into 2 solid Canadian stock for the long run.

Have a good weekend!

Posted this on the wrong board so I’m reposting here because you guys seem to know a lot about what’s going on.
I’ve been watching NWPO and hearing some local stuff but the stock is so volatile. It’s up, then it’s way down, then it limps forward again. But I don’t see any real progress. Am I missing something? I hear that they’re s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g cash on the backs of their vendors, hoping for some of this “big news” that hasn’t materialized in months.

The rumor is those backs include employess and contractors and "big news" that's supposedly brewing is the closing of thier office in Phoenix and firing staff for the holidays. Some companies just have a bad soul. The manegement page shows the CEO with the bad SEC record plus his girlfriend and the ex Dell dude and a contracter turned CTO.

They are closing and firing the Phoenix office and moving it to Palm Desert instead.

That was what I heard from a special friend.

And yes, I have stocks in this company.

PALM DESERT, Calif., Dec. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Spare Backup, Inc., a subsidiary of Newport International Group (OTC Bulletin Board: NWPO - News), today announced a reseller agreement with Ameralinx, a national provider of broadband and dial-up connectivity. Ameralinx has a coast-to-coast network of small business customers that have a need for backing up their important computer files, providing another new distribution partner for Spare Backup's products and services.

The Spare Backup service enables business users to backup important computer files on the Spare Backup server quickly and easily. For as low as $9.99 a month, the web-based backup service executes invisible, automatic backups on any schedule of the user's choice, protecting the data as well as the files' hidden settings and formatting information to ensure that backup files precisely match the originals. A software-only version provides the same easy backup capability to the user's own local storage device.

The company also sells a software product called Spare Switch that allows users to quickly transfer computer files from an old PC to a new computer by first sending selected files to Spare Backup's data center via a high-speed Internet connection. The software eliminates the need for transfer cables or other accessories and retains the original settings and layouts to provide a seamless transition between PCs.

"Ameralinx is a significant addition to our distribution channel because it gives us a direct pipeline to small businesses who are ideal candidates for our products and services," said Cery Perle, CEO of Newport International and Spare Backup Inc. "In essence, Ameralinx' sales force will be working to place our products and services with their own customers. This is a key strategy for us and one that we expect to be very lucrative."

"The Spare Backup product line, with is it's newest product Spare Switch, gives us an additional service line of products to our clients that will help them meet their over all IT needs for today and into the future," said Justin Steele, General Manager of Ameralinx. "We believe this will give Ameralinx an over all enhanced service level to our customers and we are very much looking forward to additional products and services that Newport International and Spare Backup Inc. will come up with in the future."

The new agreement is the latest in a series that Spare Backup has completed since launching its reseller channel several months ago. The effort has attracted major resellers such as Ingram Micro and Navarre Corporation as well as key retailers such as Fry's Electronics, extending Spare Backup's reach beyond its initial online channel.

3 months ago, I googled NWPO.OB because I was researching about it and found allstocks.com and Frogster.

Interesting thread, I thought. I kept a bookmark of the thread and kept reading once a week.

I registered a month ago I think, but I never wrote anything because I didnt have anything useful to say until today.

I bought NWPO.OB in March / April this year and I haven't sold anything and I won't for now. Maybe I am getting greedy but I like sparebackup and I don't think there is a comparable good product out yet. I am using it myself.

I don't know what ItStinks has a motive to come here and talk about Newport.

But I heard about closing down the Phoenix office, probably 2 months ago, move & fire some staff and I wanted to confirm what he said.

That's it, ItStinks and I are not the same person [Smile]

Sorry I haven't been around much, I had NO trouble contacting cery perle. I talked to him personally. We have nothing to worry about. I believe that we are looking at another pump and dump someone wants in real cheap, According to Perle. It was announced 2 months ago that the phoenix office was closing. all employees were offered jobs, some relocated some did not.NOne was fired. He did that more for his convienence, and He wanted all the developement teams together and he was tired of running back and forth. There was no real purpose to having 2 locations. Absolutely no truth in the 90 days bs. When I asked him that question he laughed and said WHAT VENDORS? they don't really have any vendors! He thinks that we will have some very nice surprises the first part of next year. they are launching some new products aimed at consumers and business alike. customer service personel has doubled in recent months with the launch of spare switch. 65% of sparebackup is aimed at oem not the consumer. the campaign in the individual market is more for name recognition. He mentioned that he puts his money where is mouth is and all his money is on this company. Very professional. and I directed him to this board to let him know what was being said. As for the ugly rumors he said he has many moons experience in the stock market and know just what kind of things are being said. I told him I got into this because of a pump and dump on the day he announced the compusa deal made money and then dd'd the co and got back in because I belive the co is well managed (as evidenced by the low float) very little dilution. He said he understands how dilution can kill a company he would NEVER do that to his company. He also said both companies Grass Roots and Spare and doing better than hoped for. I mentioned my belief that we would see this stock trading on the big board in a few years and "Oh much sooner!
I like this co even more now than before!
Good Luck!
