Hmmm, I'm kind of surprised nobody has said much about this latest PR... guess folks are just tired of waiting. For those of you who may not know, Frye's is the Home Depot of the computer H/W and S/W world. It is the mecca for computer geeks. They are all over the west coast and I know there is one in Chicago now. If you can't find it at a Frye's then you porbably can't find it... of course that also means that they carry everything so I guess it is not terribly hard to get your product sold there.

I really think that this Dell "rumor" may have done more harm than good... seems this stock does not want to move on any lesser news because of it. I'm still quite impressed by what this company is doing... just need the investor world to become impressed.

i think that the dell deal is the only way that investors are going to be happy i can't remember how that started but i do know that in the long run what does it really matter if it comes from dell or you buy it off the shelf? i would personaly like to see the dell deal happen just to make everybody happy. glta

Well, I think people are assuming that if there is a Dell deal it will be something to do with Spare Backup being pre-installed on Dell systems... while that would be great, I'm assuming that if there is a deal it will be an option on the business system website. While either would be great I still believe this product will succeed with or without Dell.

It was a matter of time before we start gettting the announcements, I and most of all of have said spareback will be sold at most computer/software retailers accross the nation and worldwide.

I think thread is quiet, becuase too much expectation has been put on DELL news, plus company has said HP and Compusa was going to start selling or available at the end of August.

Plus, we are not getting any PR's on number of subscribers and how successful the launch of their new website has ben since August 1st.

I think we will see a rise, but no a huge one, maybe 1.10 then in the next 5 days back to .95-1.00

Bond, the Dell news would only be icing on the cake to me. What I am looking for is the sales figures and profit margin. Because of that, this has turned into a hold until the quarterly report of the fourth quarter is released (Jan '06). This will tell ALL. In the mean time, I might try to pick up some extra shares to flip [Wink]

Spare Backup Reaches Agreement with Fry's Electronics to Carry Full Line of Spare Software Products for Distribution in All Fry's Locations in Nine States

PALM DESERT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 9, 2005--Newport International Group (OTCBB:NWPO) announced today that its Spare Backup Inc. subsidiary has reached an agreement with Fry's Electronics, a privately held retail electronics chain, providing a one-stop-shopping environment for the hi-tech professional. Under the terms of the agreement Fry's will carry the Spare Backup software, the prepaid Spare Solution and SpareSwitch. This represents the first retail chain to carry the recently released SpareSwitch product, which allows all of the data on one computer to be seamlessly transferred to another computer, using the same encryption methods as Spare Backup. The SpareSwitch includes all data and operating links in the transfer on a one-time basis, making getting a new PC with all the information that was on the prior PC an effortless experience.

Commenting on this agreement, Andy Shevak, vice president of sales at Spare Backup Inc., stated: "We are pleased that Fry's has chosen our line of backup and data transfer solutions to carry in all their locations. Fry's prides itself on being a provider of cutting-edge tools for the needs of its customers and we are excited that they have recognized Spare as a provider of such products."

The Spare Backup Solution

Spare is a fully automated remote backup solution. It starts by scanning a user's hard drive, including the desktop and e-mail programs, for files and the application components necessary to produce an exact replica of the original. Then it transports the data, including new and revised files, daily to twin data centers on both U.S. coasts. Files are triple-encrypted and users can access them from any broadband, Web-connected computer anywhere. For more information and a free 14-day trial, visit http://www.Spare Backup.com.

Well, at least we have some decent volume today.

I don't think there will be a mad rush, but a close above $1 would be nice.

Everyone is still here, I'll be back on board soon but in the mean time I've been trying to make a living on stocks that move [Wink] . Havn't done much though MMIC is green right now, and expecting much more.

I knew it was only a matter of time before Fry's would carry the product. I worked at Fry's for 2 years, and they are always the first to actually carry the products. Because it's a new product the software salesmen from Fry's will have a mandatory video conference with the makers of Spare and will be educated how it works, and will be able to ask questions. Be assured that this is HUGE for Spare Backup. Fry's customers & salesmen are the type of people who would tell their friends about something like Spare. So now I suppose Best Buy will be next. Good Luck.

Fry's Electronics Website = Fry's Electronics

(The stores are laid out a lot better than the website.) The Fry's I worked at here in Phoenix, AZ did between $250,000-$500,000 a DAY in sales. On holidays, it was not uncommon to hit $1,000,000 or more.

Wall Street News Alert: Hot Stock to Watch! September 9, 2005

Friday , September 09, 2005 10:22 ET

Weston, FLA, Sep 09, 2005 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) --Wall Street News Alert's "stocks to watch" this Friday morning are: Newport International Group (OTCBB: NWPO), Motorola Incorporated (NYSE: MOT), HP (NASDAQ: HPQ), AMD (NYSE: AMD) and Gateway Inc (NYSE: GTW).

Once again, Newport International Group (OTCBB: NWPO) will be appearing on the radar screen of aggressive investors and day traders this morning! Yesterday after the stock markets closed, the company issued a press release announcing that its subsidiary, Spare Backup Inc., has reached an agreement with Fry's Electronics.

News of the agreement should certainly be welcomed by investors, as Fry's has agreed to carry the full line of spare software products for distribution in all fry's locations in 9 states! Under the terms of the agreement Fry's will carry the SpareBackup software, the prepaid Spare Solution and SpareSwitch.

This represents the first retail chain to carry the recently released SpareSwitch product, which allows all of the data on one computer to be seamlessly transferred to another computer, using the same encryption methods as SpareBackup. Investors should continue to monitor the progress of Newport International for further developments, as the Spare Backup product appears to be gaining nationwide acceptance! Two weeks ago, the company announced a new agreement with Global Marketing Partners that will allow Spare Backup to offer software in Best Buy, Circuit City, Office Depot, Staples and a number of other large retail locations. Previously, Spare Backup software was available exclusively online through the company's website. But beginning this month, Spare Backup software will be readily available in CompUSA retail locations throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, and other larger retailers soon.

I believe we have all been hung out to dry here… A lot of us go in over 1.20 and honestly I have come to the conclusion that we will not see that price range anytime soon. I know a lot of us are here in the near future, nut there has been a lot of retail selling on the ask of late. The dell news will never be released because they only had a meeting wit dell no offer has/will be signed.
We almost doubled the 10day avg today only to finish 5 cents in green higher then we did yesterday. This stock has only been able to move on news and the last two has not moved this stock enough. The core group that has kept this stock in motion have been the day trader’s and swing traders who are now no longer interested in getting back into this stock.
Froggy brought us a very good stock but even he has abandoned us because he know’s there is no hope left for this stock. I am in red over .20 cents on this stock so please do not say I am talking this way so I can get cheaper shares because I am not. This is a public forum and we are all mature adults and we should be able to discuss topic’s such as these as adults. I would like to hear what my fellow shareholder’s have to say.
I’m going t just cut my lose and take my money to another stock which started much like this one with a lot of potential. We have stayed in this stock being promised 3.00 per shares and she has never even broken 2.00 please understand my concern and understand that the main thing which has caused this stock to move isn’t even moving it now.

(If you are not interested/do not like what I write don't bother replying, I am not looking for a flame war here)

coldmoney: I believe you hit the nail on the HEAD. I sold all my shares over the past two weeks and have been following the board for new picks. In that time between PBLS, IGTN, BUGS, PHBT, EYII I have made everything I lost on NWPO and a lot more. There is NO point in staying with this stock--absolutely none. Take your losses, cut them and recoup them elsewhere. Keep checking NWPO and see if anything is happening. If it is well you can always jump back in!

This was my first stock that I've ever traded and I got burned badly because I didn't understand the concept of "buying low, selling high and NEVER HOLDING ON!" Perfect example: IGTN hit a high of 0.054, but the people on the thread were talking about it going >0.07. Well, yeah so what, I got in at 0.02, more than doubled my money and got out!!! Now it's at 0.034 and a lot of new s### has been raised about the company but thankfully I've moved on. See what I mean?

I lost a few thousand dollars with NWPO but gave up my losses and made my money back elsewhere. I believe you've finally moved on to the last part of the grieving process: ACCEPTANCE!

Good luck in the future!

Have to agree with futurama. If you're planning on making any money soon, here's not where to do it since as a daytrader, he's called it right on the spot - I'm no longer interested. My money has been servicing me more with other pics in the meantime. Daytraders will be the ones who can bring in the volume to bring the pps up.

I'm not saying that this is a bad long term stock because they have a great product and management is making the right moves to get this product out to build consumer awareness which will eventually lead to sales. For the longs, the recent news regarding FRY's is huge. Here on the west coast, FRY's is THE retail outlet for all the techno-geeks and here in silicon valley, there's quite a bit. Among retail chains, FRY's is the first place I personally go to if I'm shopping for electronics/software/electrical components and the like. But with all the recent and future PR's discussing new agreements with overseas retailers and retailers/distributors here, don't expect a jump in pps any time soon.

IMO, as a daytrader, the only news worth getting back in on is their anticipated release of their reported revenues for this upcoming last quarter and this won't happen for a few months. So in the meantime, for the longs, you're better off just setting your stop losses and put this stock off to the side or you can just cut your losses now and use this as a learning experience to help you make money on other pics in the short term. You can always buy back in on the next run. GL

Futurama, I see you only have 1 star. That's for telling it like it is. I agree with you, we are here to make money. In was in this thread some called me Dr. Jekly and Hyde for saying the same as you did.

I have posted here and I'm sure I was the 1st and probably the only one telling you and all to check out:

XRYM - I played it twice from .019 to .037
IGTN = I played that from .021 to .048 and .046
EYII - in at .067 and still in, no idea what Monday will bring.
CESY - I think it will be huge
BRVO - in at 1.08 out at 1.03 back in now at AVG of .57 and holding
AMNI - still holding great news this past week

I have no obligation of posting other hot stocks to all of you watching NWPO, but feel we are all here to make some money, not always right on picks, but getting better.

Good luck to all of you, If I feel strong about a stcok I will continue to post and hope you all don't mind, it's your decision and of course always do your own DD.

I hope if you hear and know of a possible hot stock you would also PM me or post it where I am reading. I still have some here in NWPO, but I have enough playing money to play others for now.

Good luck to all.

coldmoney. you of course have to do what's right for you. If you can't make intelligent decisions based on your needs, you have no business being here in the first place. I wish you luck and there are some great stocks running and making money right now. I wish you luck and will wait patiently for you y'all to come back (cause you will!
In the meantime I'm sure I'll see ya on some of the other threads,
Futurama, good luck to you, starting to look like I'll be here all by myself, so stop in and keep me company and when I cash out with about 400k we'll have a party!
