not in right now. I think this thing will continue to drop 5 cents every day. And I'm not sure DELL news will help this thing that dramatically.
Only my opinion, though.

Sorry Eire. Pens and I were referring to HISC. Very improper on the NWPO thread. I see NWPO going to $3. with news and financials ect. This is probably going to happen within the next 30 days. Don't forget this stock has very low float. It moved a dollar on very very low volume. That is why this stock interests me so much. I am in right now with 50k at 1.15 I have another order in for another 50k GTC at .80 I have absolutely no fear that this stock is a scam. After I introduced the CarParts (CPT) IT dept to this stock they were raving about it. They logged on to my system to check it out and couldn't believe it! I have SQL files not simple excel and word files that has always been a problem in the past with backup systems. Spare handled them just as easily as a jpg file. So just hang in there this company is really going to move out! Good Luck Everybody!

This brings up a good question. While it is obvious that Spare is much less expensive, does it have the capabilities for licenses, multiple computers sharing the same 5GBs, security?
The most important question I have is security. I like the encryption process they have outlined. Anyone know how it compares to others?

Spare Backup(TM) Entices Retail Store Shoppers to Its PC Backup Service via Novel Packaging Idea; Only Pre-Paid Monthly Backup Service to Be Sold via Box Packaging Also Features Secure File Access via Internet
By BusinessWire Last Update: 8/23/2005 9:03:01 AM Data provided by
PALM DESERT, Calif., Aug 23, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Spare Backup Inc., a subsidiary of Newport International Group (NWPO), is putting its money where its product is -- literally -- in an innovative and aggressive bid to win retail store shoppers to its revolutionary backup service that requires no user interaction whatsoever.
Effective today, Spare Backup is shipping a boxed version of its service to a number of bricks-and-mortar retailers who have expressed strong interest in offering the company's breakthrough service. The box, available in a variety of SKUs, entitles the buyer to the service on a pre-paid basis for a pre-determined number of months, depending on the box they purchase.
Most striking of all, every Spare Backup package sports a unique feature sure to get shoppers to look twice: a genuine dollar bill, protruding from the cover, seemingly available for the snatching to get the attention of the shoppers who are not looking for products of this kind.
"Money talks, and we want small business shoppers to know we're talking to them," said Cery Perle, CEO of Newport International and Spare Backup Inc. "The debut of our retail packaging marks not only our expansion to store shelves, but also the first time any PC backup service has ever been sold from a shelf. We're doing all we can to make small business users aware that backing up their PC can be something they don't even have to think about."
Selects, Secures, Stores
Spare Backup is the first backup solution designed to do everything -- so the user does nothing. Made especially for SOHO and other small-to-medium business professionals, Spare Backup is a Web-based backup service that executes invisible, automatic backups. The service selects, secures and stores digital files for the user, all by itself, on a regular basis and at times or frequencies the user prefers.
By backing up critical and essential data online, Spare Backup users enjoy the secondary benefit of being able to access their files anywhere, anytime, from any computer. Total security is ensured through a proprietary three-part process -- user name, password, plus a unique, randomly generated code number called a Spare Key. The Spare Key, a wallet-sized card mailed to the user following registration, ensures that no one besides the user -- not even Spare Backup Inc. -- will ever have all three forms of ID necessary to access the account holder's files.
"After 25 years of personal computing, it's clear people are not interested in backing up their files and are not going to change," said Perle. "Spare Backup is a new paradigm because it doesn't change people's behavior. The service ensures that the user's legacy of work will never be lost, yet it does so in such a way that they don't have to learn anything or even think about it."
Software-Only Version
The Spare Backup online service provides complete backup of the customer's professional content for roughly 50 cents per day (MSRP). Retail pricing may be lower, depending on store and promotional activity.
For users interested in using the Spare Backup service on their own local storage device, the company is also packaging a software-only version priced at $49.99 (MSRP). All versions of the product are shipping immediately to both bricks-and-mortar and online retailers.

I've noticed that it only seems to go up when the rest of the market goes down. Maybe we should spread a rumor of more terrorism or there's no more oil in the world. That might help us out.
