With it being Friday, thinking we are going to close up today...next week QTN airs on RCN...Can you imagine seeing commercials for Volvo, Firestone, Budweiser, and other products... on their channel? I would simply FREAK out!
saw a cnbc biz brief yesterday w/jane wells telling about function " *38 " on your phone. it defeats the caller id on your phone. replaces caller's number with a number you are accustomed to seeing so that you will answer the call. she tried it and said it worked for her. contracts being negotiated with collection and law enforcement agencies.

I have not seen a PR since Aug 3rd which I think is good if all is well. King--I thought the same thing about the convention...especially with QTN airing next week...opportunity for good information and public relations! Man, I sure hope his team is as good as us when it comes to brainstorming for new ideas!! (lol)

I couldn't fine any either, Crosseyed...good to see you...so I am thinking that people want on board in case something happens over the weekend and into opening bell.

Aug 3rd is a long Time it would make sense timming wise to see a PR at the first of the month The networks are beggining to advertise big their fall season

Right on with that, Crosseyed. Frank has halted many good runs with poorly stated and poorly timed PRs. Ijust picked up another 163,000. dz

I read RB earlier and there is conflicting information about the direction of QBID chart...some say bullish and up. Others are saying downward trend. Anyone willing to offer up their 2 cents? (LOL)
Even though he has reduced his holdings (to 16.1 million shares) in RCN, he is a MAJOR player in the cable industry. I would think that adding a political and potentially controversial channel such as Q TV (QTN) would have to have his stamp of approval. If you google on "billionaire Paul Allen RCN" there is a ton of info. Not sure if he has a connection to the "gay" world, but he seems to have his hands in everything (no pun intended).
and wasn't there a Seattle (Allen's home base) "connection" this spring with the QTN launch.....hmmm...Seattle...New Orleans...RCN....
