I think I should just move to CA and get a freaking job at QTN.
Dress well, speak well, write pretty well. Surely they would at least let me clean out the garbage cans. I'd love to look through the paper recycle bins! Losing my mind.

Supervisor of RCN just told me QTN will be available Sept. 1 No price plan yet but as soon as they recieve the price for it, QTN will be available. So its possible Sept. 1 is not actual.
She also said that people have called in because they saw they're advertisement of Q Television. I mentioned its not on they're website yet, she said, because Q Television is in only specific areas, not nationwide so give it time to be on the RCN website.
She confirmed they are on digtal tier. Paying for it would be like paying for HBO.
Ok? RELAX!!
ANYONE IN THE AREAS OF RCN SEE THESE ADVERTISEMENTS?

WHAT ARE BASHERS !! A basher is a investor who is looking for a quick buck. They buy sub penny stock by the millions and sell it back on pr days with high volume. this also results in the price not cliaming up to high before they dump their shares. u must think in millions, sample if one buys 10 million shares and it goes up 1/10 of a cent from .005 to .006 they sell out and profit 10 thousand dollars.
THEY DO THIS IN COMPANIES WHICH HAVE A GREAT INTEREST AND ARE SURE TO MOVE UP ON NEWS. After they sell they bash again to try to lower the price back to were they had bought in to resell it again on the next pr day. To profit from those who were frighten off by there remarks. bashers can get left behind if volume increases after they sell off and then the price goes up like it did in april.
they may also dump thier shares for under the bid to try to get the price to fall as they sell off. and still make a profit as they sell. over @ zkid a basher told of her buying on the low by 100k's and reselling them back when the price went up a nickle on the 13 and she profited 13k and bashed again to try to do it again. but she bought in around .032 and it only fell to .038 and went up so i do not think she got back here shares she sold a week ago @ .08 right now she is left behind.
holding shares are a daytraders worse nitemare so that what they want selling. a real basher would not tell u to sell to others they say hold and take your chances. which i would agree with. until this company is well under way. i still say as time goes on the float will get bought up by shareholders buying smaller lots that they will not sell for pennies and that will cause a demand for our share and bring the price up.
other co like GE have higher o/s then qbid but they stay above a buck do to not every one trying to sell shares to get free trading shares out of it. i believe they own thousands of share there and not millions like so many here own.
but at some point this company shareholders will own 100 of k instead of millions and that should cut out a lot of the selling here i would think. i rather see 10 trades go throw of 100k then one trade of a million. those who buy the 100k are most likely to hold them fore more then a few cents thereby reducing the float of trading shares. those who do keep their lg lot of millions should be very happy in a year i think.
as the price claibs in the future it will take less share to cash out profits and those who ride it out may be someday be able to sell a few a year to live off of sample if this did go over a buck 50k sold a year 1 million would last 20 years that is my long term goaled here.
but with a few more then 1 million. so for me the long term possibilities out weight any short term GAINS OR LOSSES !! AND IF QBID does spin off qtn in the future i rather be holding QBID by the millions to get a good % of QTN !!
I am not a fool i will closely watch qbid to see if they can pull of this new network and i will hold as long as i believe they are doing that.
i also know we have years of news releases coming our way from new channels they may add to the network and hit tv shows and many other things that will bring news to us that we may not even be thinking of.
so far with the 5 years funding and financing for new programming. I think we are doning very well so far.
news release back on 2/10 told of a buyback program i thin future revenue may fund that as well as other channels being added to the network future revenue may also fund qbid to get off the pinks i believe but all this will take time but i do not mind the wait so far from 6/03 this has done very well for me.
so if bashers want my shares maybe i will sell them a few in 2005 we will see then. Remember QBID is the parent company of QTN IF THE FAR FUTURE HAS A SPIN OFF OR MERGER OR JUST STAYS THE SAME IT IS A UNKNOWN. BUT I LIKE TO THINK OF POSSIBILITIES TO PREPAIR FOR THEM.
one other thing no one has said ! the floormat of QTN can be changed we are already broadcasting. if a gay channel does not work out they only need to buy new programming to turn it into a different channel. in other words. show differnet kind of movies and u have a different channel so long term i am not worried if this does not go over big.
we are set up to broadcast that the main thing. all shareholders i think should read these following news post to be informed. posts 82665,101526,130050,130571, all from 2/04 !! and my post 351913 !! IF ANYONE WANTS TO REPOST THIS THEN DO SO. BUYTHEMIL

So like, if any protesters are trying to find the Q's office, they can change their "floormat" with the name of a different company on it. That way, the protesters walk on by, and won't be able to find the place!
Sunny- Go ahead and apply for the job. I don't think this buythemill guy will get it !

I can think of so many floormats but I'll let others have fun with it.
We should think of a mat that would make people nervous opening the door to?
donate blood here?

While I enjoy all the opinions and info shared, the bottom line is that this stock should explode when it appears in the channel line-up on the RCN site: http://www.rcn.com/cabletv/lineupMain.php

just my 2 cents but...i hope one day it just shows up on comcast &/or cox, i'll take cablevision too...no pr, no ad's, just wake up and its there. then about a week or 2 latter full page ad's in every g/l magizine, web site, paper whatever. why? ask yourself what is the one thing Bush & Kerry agree on? gay marrage. if its that set in stone that these 2 have to agree on it we don't want ad's, pr's anything. just wake up and its there, then in only the places it will be well recieved promote it and let word of mouth work from there

very exciting story, thanks for sharing that with us.

I just left the hospital, I HAVE A GRANDSON!
Very exciting to say the least. My daughter called me at 9:30 PM. She said she was going to the bathroom and heard a POP and then a gush of water came out. (sorry for the men that can't handle it) My husband told her I would call her right back as I was putting her little sister to sleep. I called her back Within 10 minutes, and she was not able to handle the contractions. I had Her and her husband meet me and my mother at the local deli parking lot to drop off their other baby, with my Mother.
They have a small car and I have a Durango.
After speaking with her on the cell phone on the way to meet, I could tell she was in hard labor, Contractions 2 minutes apart. So, I put the seat down in my Durango (just in case), Took Nancy in my car and had her husband follow us. She was pretty hysterical when I got her, I got her to calm down and breath as I drove and rubbed her belly, She became calm and began to handle the contractions like a champ. The hospital is at least an hour drive from where we were. There is the local hospital but, Not very good and no Mat. ward, or labor and del. So we took a chance and drove. I began to prepare myself for the reality that I would have to deliver this baby in the car. Her contractions were one on top of another.
We were about 5 minutes from the hospital and She stated to me that she is feeling a lot of pressure and feels the need to push.
Well, Of course I begged her not to. We got to the emergency room doors, I ran in and told the closest orderly I could find to get a nurse, we are having a baby now in the car. (The poor guy, you should have seen his face). Got Nancy into the wheel chair (Squatting on her feet)LOL, and up into L&D, They ripped her clothes off, The nurse checked her and said, "we're ready to push, get a dr. in here". Nancy screams GIVE ME AN EPIDURAL! NO TIME NANCY! One push, see babies head, 30 seconds later another push babies head is out, third push baby is out! Her Dr. didn't make it. So the on call Dr. introduced himself to us as he delivered the baby. In the hospital at 11:26 and baby out at 11:31. He is beautiful. Baby Vincent. 7 lbs. 2 oz. The nurse never measured him so, don't know that yet. He was a little blue and the all wrapped in his cord but, is doing great. She was wonderful and I am so proud of her. So........2hours labor, not bad although it's at least an hour drive to the hospital, so.......very exciting. Made it there in 40 minutes. The cop's wouldn't stop me, go figure! I know My son in law called the state police and warned them of us coming down so perhaps they saw us and just let us fly. Well, Gotta go. I'm not going to sleep tonight. LOL
I hope the Q run gives me half the rush I got tonight.
Here he is......
Thanks for letting me brag about my Kid for a bit.

WHOOO-HOOOO!

Bill, I am very much in agreement with QTN just appearing in those selected cities. There is a time and place for everything. In the big picture, QTN's timing is right for this year, but for the upcoming weeks we need to establish ourselves first, and then push the envelope for adding customers.
Facing the unknown often results in anxiety and knee-jerk reactions for many people. The average person is not going to do research on QTN, they will just hear bits from the media. The opposition is ready for action. QTN's customer base is right there too, waiting with $$$ in hand.
It's the "if we build it, they will come." Like Whiz says, "All we ever had to do was launch." One week and counting down. . . .Go QBID!

I'm assuming ESPN will cover it. Lemuiex was still a healthy scratch?

" TV advertising is a terrible financial deal. The TV network charges the advertiser only around a penny for each viewer, sometimes less. That means a penny for 30 seconds of my attention, or $1.20 for an hour of it.
Of course, even without the Tivo we don't watch all the commercials in a show, and that is factored into the price. For example it's expected we'll leave the room for a snack or other purposes some of the time, and today it's even expected we might watch some portion of our shows on VCRs where we commercial skip (though still get minimal exposure.) "
So it doesn't cost much to get advertisers but the advertisers are pulling away since the concept of TIVO is growing.

And the GLBT population. If the programming is good word of mouth spreads like wild fire. Also free cable and viewing to aids populations. I believe Frank and team are working on the launch and have slept to keep MMs and day trade sleeping. This is only my opinion but I like what I have seen since March. Good Luck to all and make your own decisions. Posts: 3439 | From: ATL | Registered: Jun 2004

Ummmm. Has anyone heard of Azteca?? No? Well, they're sucessfull! It's a TV Network for the Hispanic community. Link to story below.
2 Best parts of the story was this:
"TV Azteca was formed a decade ago in Mexico, a market then dominated by TV giant Televisa. Azteca eventually captured about 40 percent of viewers and 35 percent of Mexico's TV ad revenue, according to Advertising Age magazine."
10 years guys!! And eventually they captured viewers. QTN didn't just start, they know the ropes now. All they need to do is capture the viewers.
"Instead of us coming into the market as the new player in town, we come out of the chute running by partnering with Cox," Urbina said."
