Ric, we are all with you seeing red portfolios right now. A talking head on one of the Saturday Stock Shows promised that the market would be up by the next convention--who knows?
Hope he's right. And, I hope your wife is better real soon. Sometimes it does seem like the bad happens all at once. Tomorrow--uh--today begins a new month. Good luck to both of you. Keep us posted, o.k.?

Rics, nothing against you buddy. Everybody who got in with QBID since end of May has been down unless they have been daytrading it.

As far as a confirmed carrier 3 years ago. No. As far as I read, they never launched on cable. Only a soft launch on satelite which is when they were at 40 cents! Thats why its fustrating now.

As far as a local chinese take out running it better then Q Telelvision. Your absolutely right. At least they place their ads on cars. Anyone that owns a business including myself, know they are doing an absolute crappy job of starting it. I mean the first thing you do is register your business.

You figure they would know this after all these years, especially if they are in contact with other businesses!

Its a startup, it takes time, its a process, and it takes small steps.

the problem with advertizing is it does no good to just plaster everything with an ad...first it will start the christian right in an up roar and that will scare off cable companies..they all know g/l tv will be here nation wide in the very near future but the easiest way to get it done is to slide it in. also we don't want Q to be the target tv staion of the right wing nuts. full scale advertizing right now would cause that. let LOGO take the heat and then Q can come in as the perfect comprimise, a premium channel that will not go into the baptist ministers home unless he pays for it wheither its right or wrong is not the question. i live in a small community north of detroit a church in town that was first opened in the 1890's closed last week because the religion let in a gay minister, they ended up with less then a dozen ppl on sundays...second if its not going to be broadcast in lets say miami why spend money advertizing there. Q is not viacom with deep pockets. it makes sence to put ad's onlu in gay publications in area's we will be broadcasting at least until we are broadcasting and getting good reviews about the programing

Post from another board, important info.
RE: The call from RCN's IR Department 7/23/2004 12:58:24 PM
Posted By: Nobull101 Msg# 51696 of 51701

I mentioned yesterday that I had called and emailed RCN's IR department...Time Downing (RCN's IR Dept) (609) 734-3718 just called me back.

He stated that RCN signed an aggreement with QTV to broadcast their channel. The PR that was released by QTV was a joint PR and that they will not be issuing a seperate PR. However...they will release a PR within two weeks to notify the public of QTVs channel spot. They will begin a pre luanch prior to that release. Within the next two weeks RCN will begin an advertising campaigne to their customers via direct mailers, email and telemarketing.

Downing said that QTV will be a PPV channel and will likely take one of the channels listed on their channel line up under PPV. The channel will cost $7.95 per month.

He siad that the deal with QTV is revenue shared, but would not go into details of the contract as it is confidential.

He siad that as of their last report...they have 436K customers which are largely focused in the Chicago, NY, and Wash. DC market. LA and SF are emerging markets.

Thats all I have...as always...you can call Downing and verify this info yourselves...he was very opened and said he would welcome a call back if I had anymore questions.

So...within the next week we should begin to see an ad campaigne from QTV and RCN to bring on subscribers.

More good info from another board
RCN CONFIRMED by RObertMIC, very credible--->

I just called RCN and had a long discussion with the their commercial Dept. Well, they WILL be carrying Q Television Network as a premium channel. They haven't rolled out whether it will be broadcast as a subscriber (like Starz or HBO) or bundled together with their programming.

The one thing the guy said was they were were getting loads and loads of phone calls about it all day every day. But he said calls from everywhere. He said many of the places weren't even areas that RCN services, but he said it is just a matter of time before other carriers and charters pick them up. He said they were gathering the program line-up and should be no problem to roll out Sept. 1 as a premium station. I had my doubts, but not anymore folks. This guy said they have never gotten more calls for anything. Maybe it's all Q investors, but it still get the word out there. So call RCN and all your cable carriers and tell them to get Q television, RCN has them so should they. Good luck to all longs

A Word to the wise....

First let me say although I monitor this and other relevant boards, this is the first time I have posted with regard to this issue. The garbage spewed here is purely entertainment in my quest for information. My brother and I have owned this stock for nearly 9 months. We own over 35 million shares and continue to purchase on dips. Let me explain something to you lazy bozo's who rely on information delivered to you by message board hacks. It does not take a brain surgeon to figure out persons writing negative posts pertaining to a .0082 stock are working for hire. Why bash a stock selling for less than a penny? What gain is there? Second, this Higgins story is trash. Read between the lines folks. Third. A little secret. We live less than 300 miles from Palm Springs. We have been there many, many times. My brother and I have spent the better part of 9 months "digging" for information, if you get my drift. Let me just say, Frank Olsen has been honest, forthright and compellingly passionate in pursuit of his dream and progress which he has passed on to shareholders. I cannot reveal anything, only to say based on our research, exciting things are developing in Palm Springs. Suggestion: get off your asses and do your own DD. I will not post again or respond to any responses.

Darnitall. How many times do I or someone else have to point this out to you? When the stock hit 40 cents, the O/S was something like 50M... today we're looking at somewhere around 9B. When it hit .027 a few months ago, the company's market cap was about 12 times HIGHER than it was 3 years ago when it hit .40.... I know this has been pointed out at least a hundred times in the last 6 months, and you've been around to see it. Why are you incapable of understanding this?

Your 2 cents is going to make your richer! I agree, Frank is to be commended for his work. Anytime a person steps out from the crowd, the crowd starts the ". . .yes he did accomplish that, but what about. .".
There are so many factors that can easy block any new network. An example would be major players wanting to corner the market. QTN has those roadblocks in addition to polictical issues.
Bill you are100% correct that QBID needs to wade into the water rather than going the diving board route.

Not sure if you guys heard this but the terror alert level has been raised to a code orange. There are new credible terror threats coming from different locations overseas that say there are 4 financial buildings as a target.

World Bank and IMF in D.C.
Prudential Building in Newark, N.J.
NYSE
Citicorp building in NYC

It figures Frank is going to launch after something happens to us again! Its an omen.

EXPECT TO SEE RED ON EVERYTHING TOMM!

we are americans we will bounce back if anything bad happens again hopefully since they know the targets the attackers will either stop and change plans or we will have so many feds around there that an ant could not get near the place without identification. either way doesnt matter much as for the stock market. it would be tragic for another evil event like 9-11 to occur but hey we have been thru alot worse than this before and we came out on top and we always will. God bless america

Just thinking about news releases that may come out at ANY time--information on the programming mentioned last week and information on advertisers, too. I am so excited about hearing this news. I wonder when this and other news will come..will Frank wait until RCN starts it advertising blitz? Or will he give it to us this week? Just don't know. Keeping fingers and toes crossed. Think we will have increased pps as we approach mid month...hope so anyway. Think Frank is trying to be very cautious as he plows into uncharted territory...one step at a time...slow and stead as 1BIg says...works for me. Just like to see the progress.

Take care. Hope everyone had a really good weekend.

qnique--Great information to start the day off with...really like the part where Q's "promotional information packet" is mentioned and that it discusses the market and its financial potential. Great article...glad Q is getting more coverage.

"Q Television promotional materials project an audience of 20 million to 30 million people"

Sunny I know you posted already, but I just wanted to chime in: This is great news and means all other major media will probably getting this promo material too. Entertainment reporters are lazy: they ONLY write stories that are spoon fed to them by such materials, so the media blitz we've been waiting for could be jump started by this sort of material.

good morning!

Hopefully Deveney will get off their ars and help get the word out, isn't that what pr firms do?
from their web site:

Our clients benefit from nearly $15 million in targeted media coverage annually. Targeted means that the coverage communicates the right messages and positions our clients to achieve their business objectives—and that the message is in the business, trade, national and local media outlets most beneficial to them.

I think that's a VERY high projection. My guess is more like 3 to 4 million.

From a previous conversation with Deveney, they indicated that they do not do all of QTelevision's PR. Only selected ones. Most of the PRs come directly from QTelevision. Maybe their contract is limited. Have not seen a real Deveney PR in a long while.
