So, any predictions on what this week will bring? Friday is the record date for the dividend. I wonder if any news is on the way.

Any chance of this baby hitting .03-.05 by friday? The highest I have seen is .02. All the hype about the 7-1 will have a lot of people looking at this one all week.

"FNRP intends to file a Form 10SB with the Securities and Exchange Commission, when an audit of the Company is completed. When, and if, effective, it will allow the shareholders of restricted shares to better utilize the selling provisions of Rule 144, and may, with the appropriate opinion of counsel, remove the restrictive legend on the shares prior to the one-year period being completed, under the spin-off rules of the SEC. Otherwise you will be able to send your restricted certificate to the Transfer Agent after one year, and with an opinion of counsel sell the shares in a "brokers' transaction," continued Atul Mehta."
This paragraph from a news release earlier in the month seems to imply we might not have to wait a year..

Is this good or bad for the company when they do a forward split? I have 119,000 shares. What will they be now? The reason I am asking is that I have never been involved with a company that issued a forward split. Thanks for the info.

I haven't been following this one too closely but wasn't it supposed to be FNRP shares? This looks to me like it's 10 additional shares of GXXL.

Eddie, The way it's worded you will now have 1,190,000 shares. The price of the stock should also drop by a factor of 10 on the day the split occurs. Generally a forward split is good as opposed to a reverse split. The only concern would be all of the additional shares that are now going to be out there. Whatever the amount is today, it's going to be 10 times that soon.

A forward split is normally done because a company wants to lower their share price to make it more attactive for small investors. It's kinda hard to buy a round lot of something if it's selling for $80 a share. I'm not sure why we're getting a 10 for 1 split in this case, but I really like the way gxxl stays in contact with shareholders. It looks like they're doing things to get shareholders interested in the stock. Anyone else get the feeling more good news in on the way soon?

The question is, is FNRP any good?
Dont have too much DD on it yet but - its more about its free shares at 1.75 a pop! Whether they tank in a year or double in a year its the name of the game. But free is free - so why not accept em.

What as surprise. Forward split is usually good...but, with such a low price, I really don't know why they would do that???
Last price today was .0075. Divide by 10, we should have .00075....why drop the price there??? Not going to attract big time investors at that price...
I have more questions than answers on this very surprising PR.
...and the date? Nothing about when and if it was today or not (couldn't be since we're getting other dividend stocks in the next few days...that would make it too crazy to calculate).
I need answers...have to do some DD. I have to admit that it's very tempting to load up tomorrow though!!!???
The record date will be announced shortly," continued Atul Mehta
(...)
Didn't see that in the other PR (web site cut it short)...was missing that part.à
Ok, announced shortly...gimme a timeframe please!!!
Anyone called them?
Malloy
Malloy - not to sure about this either however I think possibly with expected buying power this week with the free shares and what not..... maybe it'all boost the share price even more.

At this price, with all what is happening, I'm in anyway. Might get more than I asked for...but I won't complain :-)

I really doubt they'd give you the 7-to-1 dividend based on your post-split amount of shares. Now THAT would be too good to be true.

Well, the Dividend date for the 7 to 1 split is the 30th, so the forward split date would have to be before then for basically a 70-1 split of FNRP so I dont think that will happen. If it were me....I might sell on all the split hype and not even have to worry about getting/selling all these oodles of shares that GXXL is tossing at me. Just me though...

Man, Global really is trying hard to entice us to buy their stock. Not sure if it's a gift or a trap. But today's the day to decide, if you want your shares settled by Friday.
But again, WHAT IS THE FEINSTEIN REPORT???

Sure.
"...when you buy a stock, it takes three days from the transaction date (T) for the change to be entered into the company's record books. As mentioned, if you are not in the company's record books on the date of record, you won't receive the dividend payment. To ensure that you are in the record books, you need to buy the stock at least three days before the date of record..." http://www.investopedia.com/articles/02/110802.asp
