Office Space was a fantastic movie. For those that have not seen it and have worked in a cube city you should really see it. Jennifer Anniston is also in it for those that need some type of motivation to see it.

June 25, 2004 UPDATE 1min. 08 sec. (est.) Welcome to the Q Television Network Hotline.
Due to the fact that we are curently waiting for confirmation from the carriers that we have been added to their billing systems and confirmation of the carriers launch dates for the Q Television network it will be necessary for us to wait until next week to make a formal announcement.
The network had to produce a gaurantee that we had funding for the next 5 years, which is a major requirement of the carriers
This funding was obtained through private sources and does not affect the shareholders.
We are currently renovating our NY sales office and this is scheduled to open on August 1st. We are also currently researching the lease of a mobile studio so that the network will have the capabilty of coming to your area.
We'll have more information for you very soon. Thank you for your patience and we know you are anxtious to hear more news. Have a great weekend and We'll talk to you next week.

I have a couple concerns with this message. Last week, they stated they secured financing for the next 2 years, now, 1 week later they have 5 years of funding, 3 more years in 1 week? They also stated that they had 1 contract signed and delivered and would be making a joint announcement this week, now it is pushed back a week because they need to be verified on their billing cycle? I realize that many see this hotline update as positive, but all they are doing is changing the story again. Keep this in mind, if they secured 3 more years of financing in the last week, that is that much more profit going to someone else, not Q or the sharholders. Those payments will not be on Q books as profit, but as liabilities. That is of course assuming they launch, which is now 1 week away, and yet none of us know where we can get Q. We are all up to date and informed about Q, imagine your average person trying to find out about Q and how to subscribe. I called Cox here in San Diego, they still know nothing about them and will not be adding them to the lineup any time in July. I'm not saying they won't launch, but this update to me makes it look less likely that it will be next week.

Valid concerns...but realize that they never stated they secured funding for 2 years. That information was provided by someone here who supposedly talked to Frank...not that I dont trust that person

I'm looking through my notes. . . just read recently about a product--a newsteam will now only need a laptop--it started with "L- -" All that equipment will not be needed for remote transmission. I'll find it, but it will take a little time. Anyone else read it? It was on one of the under .10 boards. Got to get back to work.

I agree, this just seems like this keeps being pushed back further and further. I will wait untill a solid pr comes before I will buy any more.

i just called comcast to see if they knew anything...i asked the guy if i could buy the service, and he said that it wasn't available yet (which we already knew). then i asked if they were planning to offer it when it was available, and he said yes (good news!). then i asked when they might know more about it, and he said to call back in two weeks (also good news!).
if you wanna confirm, dial 1-800-comcast, then a bunch of "1"'s to get to the english version, cable tv, services, order new programming, place.

Just wondering if anyone else could call their local company and ask if it will be carried here in the next couple of weeks?

I called Cox in San Diego this morning and they knew nothing about Q, and as of now, have no plans on carrying it. The guy I spoke to had never even heard about Q or seen a promotional package for them. He told me that all networks send promotional packages to them before Cox carries them.

I just called Time Warner (Ohio) and asked them. They haven't heard of Qbid yet. I left a message with the marketing director and hopefully she will call back.

Just to make sure...when you call, ask about Q Television Network...not QBID. They probably wont have any idea what QBID is even if they know everything about QTN.

I called but could not get through since I don't live in their area. Everyone should try to call and ask their local provider.

I asked for Q Television Network when I called. I also explained to him that it was a gay/lesbian network. He asked me if I meant Logo and I told him no, that Q was suppose to launch before Logo. He told me that Logo was the only gay/lesbian network he has heard anything about and that Cox would be carrying them, but that he was not sure if Logo would be available in San Diego.

I also mentioned Q-television and was even more specific explaining it is a gay and lesbian network coming soon. They still had not heard yet. I am sure they will very soon! I am still very optimistic.

These people probably make close to minimum wage and aren't privy to info till it's upon them. These are not career employees that go the extra mile to be on top of their game, IMO.

And in addition to that, the only employees that will know about future directions of a company will be their top tier executives. From there it is a need-to-know stream of information.

Every time I see my friendly goose, I let him know about QTV and all that damn thing says is "AFLAC". Oh well, I guess at least I get his daily "gift" on my sidewalk.

I remember someone posting a while back that they sent their cable company a check and told them it was to subscribe to Q. Whatever happened with that? Did they cash it or send it back? This was probably many threads back, but I was thinking about it today. I don't remember who it was or if they're even still here.
