Yep I know that, however seemed interesting never the less.

The MM's have proven they can take the price down quickly, and slowly. They have even proved they can make it move sideways with a slow down trend or slow up trend. Don't think they can push to .02 as quickly as they can drop it to .011 (they did that in one trading day).

Maybe they needed my attack squirrel worse that I did. (A little excitement in the house, don't ya know.....) <grin>

Good Morning Chicklets,

Could someone give me a brief synopsis of what the heck happened here yesterday? My hubby had spinal surgery yesterday so we missed everything. I've tried to piece it together quickly, but I need to go back to the hospital here shortly.

I really appreciate this and hope I can return the favor someday, somehow!

Toddleloo,

Very brief so you can get to hubby!
PR came out, ..very general,.. moved soft launch to June 1 (keeping May 15, but calling it "test signal", ... people panicked and went loco,... emotions high, stock low... you're up to speed... go be with hubby and we'll watch the fort! Hope he's doing well!..

Toddleloo,

Yesterdays PR was vague and caused some to get upset because of the soft launch date. (Start testing soft launch on 5/15 instead of actual soft launch on 5/15). The soft launch is schedule for 6/1/04.

U4 got upset and filed complaints with SEC and several others did also. U4 left the board. The stock went down. Maybe because of the PR or maybe for other reasons.

A lot of people get ill when the stock goes down.

Personally, I wasn't impressed with the PR and it caused me to be more sceptical of this company. There was nothing in the PR that we didn't already know and the soft launch is 2 weeks later than we and been lead to believe.

I'm not going to alow myself to go into denial on this. That is the way I saw it.

Just my opinion, eveybody has one.
"Duck"

Happy Trading,
"Duck"

Thanks Pharma!

Oh Pish Posh. The vicissitudes of stock just like the vicissitudes of life. I (being a POSITIVE person) think that PR is a good sign. They are affirming their intent, not cancelling it. Time/space is just a filler. Hubby is doing great and really loves the pharms, especially Toradol!

I agree with you... glad hubby's well... make sure they don't give more than 5 days of toradol... increased risk of adverse events over 5 days of therapy... besides, there are better drugs for pain!

I STILL don't see what all the fuss is about?

Where in the past did they say a soft launch was ANYTHING other than a signal test, transmitting short blocks of programming in preperation for the officialy "hard" launch? The way I see it, nothing substantial has changed, other then them rephrasing "soft launch" to "signal test", and VERIFYING a hard launch on June 1

No, cyberrat, you've got it wrong.. the "signal test" is QBID getting the audio / video signal transmission fine tuned to the best of their abilities...that's not a soft launch.. a soft launch is actual transmission of samples of programming so that the cable / satellite companies can view them for the purpose of evaluation to decide if they will offer them to home viewers.... the soft launch is what was moved to June 1st... the hard launch is when the programming is transmitted for the purpose of viewers watching the programming... the hard launch moved from "mid June" to "sometime in the third quarter"... that's what all of the commotion is about...

In addition to work at the exhibition, meetings were held with Barbara Lemont of Network Teleport in New Orleans, who had previously announced that carriage of the Q Television signal will commence on June 1, 2004 on Telstar 7, Transponder 1.

that sounds to me like they'll be transmitting a signal, with programming that anyone with a satelite dish can see...

If you look at the PR on yahoo, in the upper right corner it says the source of the PR. Yesterdays source was Qtelevision, if you look at last weeks, it says the source was Devanney.

Q Television may be who notified Yahoo, but the PR was written and handled by Deveney... that's why they're listed as the contact info at the bottom of the release AND why they've answered the questions about the release that I've emailed to them.

My guess is that they are referring to the NCTA convention in that PR, where they told cable providers and all those who stopped by the booth that the signal would begin June 1st. Cash has a picture floating around here of that display/notice.
This is probably why I'm not too concerned right now. Investors may have been told May 15 for soft launch, and mid June for hard lauch...but the cable companies were told June 1st from the beginning (at the NCTA convention). AND, "third quarter" begins July, which is only 2 weeks after the "mid-june" estimate.

IF that's what they were telling providers during the convention, then I'll buy that as an acceptable statement!

Also, if they mean July when they say third quarter, then fine.. but if they mean September, they'll probably lose many investors... although, it's still smarter to say "third quarter" just in case it takes more time to line up providers and advertisers. that way they won't have to risk pushing the date back on the hard launch again...

I think what the real fuss is about is that some people are seeing signs of the same thing happening now as happened in 2001, i.e., a continuous delay in the launch date resulting in ultimate cancellation of the launch. The belief is that back then the whole thing was a scam and now the scam is being repeated. Hence many here on the board notified the SEC.

I don't know what happened in 2001. I've not tried to go back and read all the PRs from then (if I could even find them). But it seems to me we have to much verifiable information to make me think this is a scam now - a nationaly recognized PR firm handling the PR, a booth with original programming at THE major trade show of the telivised media industry, to name the two big ones. Now, I suppose it's possible for the QBID folks to be pulling one over on these guys but I find it hard to beleive. I'll know more when I actually see the signal (I have C-Band and unless they scramble the test I should be able to pick it up).

So I think some just overreacted to the PR yesterday because they didn't like the the PR and the price was falling and they wen't looking for an explanation. While I acknowledge they have a right to their opinions I was saddend to see people I'd had respect for behave in such a way. They may turn out to be correct (I hope not) but that still doesn't, IMO, change the fact that the reaction, once again, IMO, was excessive at this time.

May 15th- Testing the Signal,

June 1st, Test 'Soft launch'

After July, Hard Launch.

What is so bad about that. They said a test signal in Mid-May. Why is everyone freaking out? Is two week's that bad? If anything they gave you two more weeks to buy shares, be thankful.

it's not that that's so bad, it's that we were told specific hard dates (no pun intended) that frank and co. have pushed back after assuring us they were on time. it's that the company now seems less trustworthy. especially since this happened twice before with them pushing the launch dates and then never launcing.
but the potential is still there, that's for sure. i'mma buy me some more...
