Dave, I expect QBID is not very popular in Salt Lake City, ya know?

Any opinions on the low volume today...48MIL trades 2 hours after open? I realize that's about $700,000, but that seems down a lot from previous days. Is everyone holding back in anticipation of the PR?? Sorry, still a newbie.

Diana, I've always imagined you looking a little more like Sally, even before you mentioned that. But that's a great pic of Ward!
Looking Forward to Vegas!
I might even go out there May 15th and 16th. Some friends moved out there recently. Time for a visit, before it gets to hot. I had planned on going in April.

Scottrade will charge you $22 plus .05% of the total amount you invest. If you want shares now and dont have a stock account, you should use them for now as they can get the account open fairly quickly.

Can't stress this enough. Read the D&D Vado keeps posting & keep in mind U4s observation "Just look at the numbers!"

*************** whizknock, I am not saying that I don't agree, just wondering why we did not move more with that? I think if they released that news during the markets open hours it would have moved us a little.... that being said I still think it was a smarter move for them to put that out after the market closed.....
Future! Why we didn't move more on this news beats the hell out of me. Real quick D&D reveals the quality of Deveny & there obvious ties with Direct TV. Go figure.

Actaully, it'd be more popular in SLC than you'd think. It's probably the most liberal part of the state. Now me, I probably live in the most conservative part of the state! I live one town south of Provo, home of BYU.

I agree, I am hopefull. Great news that they are working together and that devany is taking charge of many aspects of what needs to be done. I am siked though to see what they put out in the pr next week. I say next week cause I hope it comes out during market hours monday.

I think its the fact that DEVENEY chose QBID that is the important thing here. Deveny is a Major player who's reputation comes B-4 anything. So Deveney most think Its the right time and place for QBID. I would imagine part of the deal included Deveney being able to handle all the particulars so they could insure a success? Anyone who can please answer or email me at tradeqbid@striperboard.com : I've only been trading online for 2-3 months and my only experience is with Scottrade. I've posted this on other boards by never received an answer. Questioins: Can you trade pinks on Ameritrade, ETrade, etc online. What do thay charge to trade 10,000 shares at 0.01 pps? Can you give a comparison between the different OLine services shuch as Scottrade, Ameritrade, Etrade, Freetrade, and any others? If you have used more than one of these, which one do you prefer?
FYI: Scottrade only trades pinks with broker phone assistance which is $22 + 0.5% of principal.

In addressing the finacials, please consider that just because QTN doesn't file with the SEC, that doesn't mean they don't have finacial books to show potential investers.
It appears that they have been fairly frugile with their finances since trimming their budget. That's a good sign for investers ,since they are still moving towards scheduled launch.

Duck, I moved to freetrade. My experience has been pretty smooth. They only offer e-mail support. That is why they are so cheap(first 20 trades a month free, then 1-$3 a trade depending on how many you do a month). www.freetrade.com
It does not matter how many shares you buy or sell, commission is standard. When you sell there is always a small SEC fee of a few pennies though. Not even worth mentioning..

I use Scottrade, as well as the other twelve people that I know who bought into Qbid. While the broker assisted fee maybe a little high, keep in mind Scottrade is VERY reliable with getting orders filled in a timely fashion. While Ameritrade is inexpensive, keep in mind you get what you pay for. Scottrade has always been helpful and very, very proffessional. No complaints from me or from anyone else.
Scottrade also has a very nice looking setup with a very atttractive looking stock ticker. Overall it gives you a very proffessional feel without the costs of Shwab or those other higher priced brokerage firms.

duck, i think at etrade i get charged 0.01 cent for any transaction on pinks, no matter how big it is. then again, i'm a power e-trader and it takes at least 3 months to get to that status when you first start out. i don't know what it is right when you start but i don't think it should be more than 3 dollars. peace.
looks like we're holding steady at 0.014. that's great news. let's wait on that update on tuesday to eat our chalupas.

I also use Ameritrade. They've been great since day one. 10.95 per trade no matter what it is, my trades always execute quickly, I often get buys executed at under my limit, and I've called them at all hours- always someone available on the phone. Love their customer service and positive attitudes. And that real-time free streamer doesn't hurt either. ~BB

THE PAST 3-5 DAYS WERE SELLERS. THEY SEEN IT DROP FROM .019+ TO .O13+. THEY ARE MOVING ON, JUMPING SHIP. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MOST PEOPLE SEE MORE SELL ORDERS THAN BUY? KIND OF LIKE THE PARTY WHEN THE BEER IS ALL GONE.
TODAY, QBID IS THE STOCK THAT MOMENTUM IS WEARING OFF. REMEMBER 3-FRIDAYS AGO, 1.8 BIL SHARES AND $30 MIL CASH. I WOULD PREFER MORE SELLERS TODAY WITH ANOTHER "NORMAL" VOLUME DAY. SELL SELL SELL SELL SELL AND SELL SOME MORE.
I DON'T CARE IF 0 (ZERO) SHARES TRADED TODAY. MY REASONING????
ASK QBIDWHIZ WHAT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN!

Just trying to learn something here.
great question. i was wondering the same thing.
for example, say you have Kmart stock at 10.00 and in the event something bad happens, you put in a stop loss order to sell if it goes down to 8.00. now say kmat says they're filing for bankrupcy and the stock plummets. would you be able to sell at 8 if no one's buying?
posted
The market makers can display one side or the other of a transaction or both. Most times they will display or input both the buy and the sell. Though not all times will it be done at once nor will they be exactly equal.

THAT IS CORRECT, YOU WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SELL MOST LIKELY IF THERE WASN'T A BUYER FOR KMART.
TRADES ARE REGISTERED AND THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BUYER AND A SELLER WHEN IT COMES TO STOCK. AT FACE VALUE, THEY ARE THE SAME. IF SOMEONE IS SELLING AND THAT ORDER TAKES, WELL THERE HAD TO BE A BUYER, RIGHT....
THE SALE IS REGISTERED BY WHO-EVER PLACES THE ORDER. WHEN YOU OWN A STOCK THAT IS CONSIDERED STRENGTH FOR A COMPANY. YOU OWN IT, IT'S GOING NO WHERE. NOW WHEN YOU PUT THAT ORDER IN TO SELL, THAT IS A SIGN OF COMPANY WEAKNESS.
A SELL ORDER MEANS THE SELLER HAD TO LOOK FOR THE BUYER. A BUY ORDER MEANS A BUYER HAD TO LOOK FOR A SELLER. WHO-EVER PUT THEIR HAND OUT FIRST TO SHAKE SO TO SPEAK.
STOCK 101: MORE BUYERS THAN SELLERS, STOCK PRICE GOES UP. MORE SELLERS THAN BUYERS, STOCK GOES DOWN.

So if we are trading sideways right now and don't have much volume wouldn't that meant the price should go up? Or does that mean there is the same low amount of buys and sellers out there right now cause everyone is holding their positions?

I have used Scottrade on 3 separate occasions to purchase Qbid shares and they only charged me $12 and 1/2% of investment. But I do agree even that is too much compared to others especially if you are purchasing a large amount. I am new to this so those have been my only purchase so far. I would also like to say I have been reading this board for the last couple of weeks and appreciate all the DD you guys have done. I have learned alot. It's also great for a good laugh on those red days. Thanks for all the info.
