You will hate me for saying this, but I will anyway.
I almost bought into this company 4 years ago and went overboard doing research on it.
It is one hell of a long play, but it is definately not a crap investment.
It will eventually make it if for no other reason than the dedication of the management. They have big money investors that will never back out.
The CEO of this company treats it like his child.
The alternative lifestyle community will support this project to the bitter end because they are intelligent enough to know that having their own broadcasting programming is the only way to overcome the obsticles social bigotry places upon them.
The only crash I see for this company will be in the form of some Geopolitical event, or devestation of the economy, or possibly a civil war brought on by some Presidential coup.

Go QBID!!!
Monday!
When you consider that there's virtually no broadcasting TV Networks trading under $1 a share,,,Yes that's what I'm trying to say,,,

Let me see if I can get this straight, all we have to do is launch....then all we'll have to do is go to the bank I don't know about you guys, but everyday when I wake up one of my first thoughts about buying this stock is...I'M SO GLAD I DID.

Just so I can have a harder time sleeping; I found out TASR went from $1.80 to $128.30 in 1 year! Now I can see a network stock trading at $1.80 go up that high. Say it takes 1 year to do so because we all know the market is there for this type of program. With all advertisments and subscriptions, revenue will be there and the stock could keep rising. Just to drool a little bit...Lets say you put $1000 in it today @.0165 and in 1..you know what, make it 2 years, went to $128.00. You would have made 7 Million Seven Hundred Fifty thousand dollars (7,750,000). Thats if you dont sell.

Doesn't anyone think it is unethical to own this stock? Investing and earning money on this just seems to go against my beliefs and I believe some others just have not thought about it.

I am a newbie to investing but received a hot tip on QBID and am looking to invest $1000.00 in this stock. Any suggestions on my best course of action (Ameritrade ? Etrade ?..etc...). My goal is to buy in at 0.16 (or less) and then ride this puppy for awhile (well, at least thru May..lol). At it's current price, where would it have to be to make say $30K with an initial $1K investment ? Sorry for the basic questions but I appreciate any advice....

But Joe- if you make a ton of money off of this, and then start your own anti-gay network with the funds, all will be balanced, right? Someone's gonna make some money in this stock- it can either be the people you consider moraaly bankrupt- or it can be you.

Is it ethical to repress and admonish an entire arm of a society based purely on hteir right to the pursuit of happiness in a manner they see fit?

First I don't think it is an arm but more or less a finger... Sure you can take the attitude of it is going to happen anyway... but I just wanted to raise a point and get people to think about it. No hatters here just adding to the discusion.

Click here to view today's PageSix column on one page April 21, 2004 -- GET ready for the gay version of "The View." Village Voice gossip queen Michael Musto, Barneys creative director Simon Doonan, "Oprah Winfrey Show" producer Patrick Riley, "The Daily Show" contributor Frank DeCaro, celebrity stylist James Aguiar and model/actor T.R. Pescod just taped a pilot called "TVQ." We hear that New York-based Hurricane Entertainment is pitching the swishy chatfest as "Queer Eye meets The View" and is already drawing interest from syndicators.

TELEVISION Gay-per-View Why do media moguls think pink is so fab? It's simple: Gay and lesbian Americans command an estimated $475 billion in spending power, and advertisers want to reach them. In mid-May, Triangle Television Network plans to launch the first cable and satellite channel for gays and lesbians. Programming will initially be limited to a few sitcom reruns, documentaries, and movies (The Wizard of Oz, anyone?), but watch the competition; Bravo and Showtime have beefed up ratings with gay-friendly fare, and Viacom chairman Sumner Redstone has ordered MTV to accelerate plans for the launch of its own gay channel.

Don't you think its unethical for the government to take away 35% of your paycheck? Working for a company just seems to go against my beliefs and I believe some others just have not thought about it.

Why are we even talking about ethics here? The stock market is not church. The stock market is for making money. Wanna talk about ethics? Take a philosophy class at your local college.

ethics? so you're saying if i buy 10Million shares to secure my families future it will be like supporting al quaeda? give me a break. people invest in the market because the prices are going up...i don't care if it's a company that makes electric chairs for execution chambers or one that makes pots and pans, money is money. maybe if you were running for president and they found out that you were supporting a gay stock 20 years earlier that might blow up in your face, but who cares. first it was women who wanted their freedom, then blacks, now gays...i think we're out of factions to please here, who's next, lesbian methodist preachers???

O.K. guys & gals, Here it is, and take it for what it's worth. I just got back from three gay bars in the community I live in. It's not a big Metropolitan area, but a large blue collar middle class working town known as Flint, MI. I told as many people as I could about "QTV", and believe it or not not a single man or woman asked me about O/S, or Market Cap Or R/S or any of the typical mumbo jumbo you hear so much about sometimes.
Much to my surprise, the things they were most curious about were things like "How do we get it?, What kind of shows will they have? And how much is the subcription? It is Wed. night so not many people out, but the 5-6 I talked to gave me thier full attention. Gee I wish I could have answered more of thier questions in detail, but I at least I told them to call thier cable or satelite co. and request it, and they would most likely have it available before mid-summer!
Folks from what I can gather thier is indeed an interest in QTV, and may I go so far as to say there is a need, for gays and lesbians to have programing of thier own.
I KNOW whiz is right when he says all we have to do is launch!
