I don't think a past failure for such a ground-breaking network is as applicable in this situation as it would be for a launch in a different industry. 2002 was not a year for cutting-edge televison. It was a year for grasping the reality that the world had changed in ways unimaginable, and it was the birth of a different kind of tv- reality tv. We were transfixed and seeking comfort in knowing others were just like us, and the programming reflected that.
I see a departure to a situations-based programming trend for 2005+. It's the 3 Men & a Baby environment, only two of the men are "partners". It's really just the advent of realistic tv reflecting our current domestic situations, and since the FCC and our government seems to feel it is their business to form our values I don't think we'll be seeing these kinds of shows from mainstream broadcasters. It leaves an open market for QTV, and a lot of people who would relate to intelligent alternative programming.
Major advertisers are going to be looking for substance, and IMO Here! doesnt have it. It looks like cheesy pay-per-view late night sexfest gay programming. If QTV mgmt is smart, they will go the wholesome route, and realize that there are plenty of alternative families out there looking for real entertainment. Major advertisers realize they have an untapped market full of people with disposable incomes and no partnership rights, and they would be wise to capitalize on it by supporting a network that supports these people, because in turn viewers will support the network & its advertisers.
A website is of no big use to an unlaunched channel, as potential broadcasters are hardly swayed by flash. They need substance to put their money down, and while this company could be more 'organized' I hope they are concentrating on their programming and partnerships right now, not their media persona per se.
I actually see the past failure of Triangle as a plus. If they are SO determined to bring this network to fruition that they try again and again to market it, then I cannot question their level of commitment. Which, in turn, makes me want to invest in their company. All we have to do is LAUNCH, baby! ~BB ___________________
But who cares, we'll never see the underside of a penny again. Bank on that.
A TV network trading under a buck is not real easy to find. We asked that question the first time over three weeks ago. To keep it real I think someone finally found one but who gives a schitt. Most of them trade over a buck & there's a reason for that.

Bart Member posted April 23, 2004 00:12 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the ones who have been looking at this stock for a long time. Not the ones who have just come on board. We new from the start that they were looking for advertisers from day one. These people are going to help pay the bill. I will stick with the $1 by June 30th prediction I have. Nothing I see shows me that it does not have the potential to make that. This stocks high was .028 not .03. Never has hit three in the past few months. It has done this little run on really no news at all. We at our level did not help it make this run either. It was bigger players coming in from the outside. Which tells me. Others have now taken notice and want some of it before it takes off. When news hits this thing will see a dime before you can bling. That day just might be 3 May. Could be a very hugh day. So to the ones who want to talk it down I say. If you have any shares sell them this morning at .014 and I will buy them up. This stock will see way more that that little 1 dollar on down the road. Not only will they be nation wide they will go international. As far as VIACOM. One day are in the game the next day they are out. You can not get a right answer out of them. Good luck to all the old timers who have kept QBID and beleived in her. Sure are a heck of a lot of new names on here. 007 Bond James Bond ................
Heey Bart! Happy to see you got more at .012 you slick devel you. Me, I'ld never have taken the chance you did but it played out perfectly for you! For now...

Here's the address from the convention website:
Contact: Steven Grunberg,President Programming 303 N. Indian Canyon Blvd., 3rd Floor Palm Springs, CA 92262 USA Phone: 760-323-4455
BTW: Not sure what to expect from the office, but the satellite company that QTV is using is based in New Orleans, so I doubt you'll see any dishes on top of the building. I imagine all the necessary equipment is down there. Maybe someone in that area can stop by NTI's office and snoop around...

First off, I appreciate all the help I have received from board members.
I am signed up with Ameritrade but will not have funds available (from my personal account) until Monday or Tuesday of next week (I was dying to get in at 0.012 today !). My question is, how soon can I begin buying if I wire transfer funds into my Ameritrade account ? Is there a waiting period ? Thanks again for any info...

The waiting period for a wire is instant. When Ameritrade receives your wire, you can trade. With any type of check it will take 10 business days to clear so you can begin trading..

Im not sure they will let you buy non marginiable securities such as QBID immediately though. You might have to wait 2-3 days.

betting babe I agree with you... from all I read and everything that was posted on this board and some others, the direction of this company seems to be aimed at providing a network that is viewable by the entire family. Wether that be two men and a baby, two women and a baby, two men or women who want to be women or men and their children. I think it will be wholesome (whatever that measn these days). Every indication shows that it will be a *family* GLBT station. All we have to do is launch.

You can trade NMS's instantly with a wire to ameritrade. I kinda wish there was a waiting period - woulda held me off to buy yesterday @ 0.012 instead of 0.0159. Oh well, won't complain - rather have it now then in a couple weeks!

kencoda, A wire transfer is effective immediately, but that is an actual go-to-the-bank transfer and there are fees involved, plus if you miss the end-of-day deadline Ameritrade won't register the wire until the next day. An EFT, electronic funds transfer, immediately moves the money and can be done online BUT there is a 5 business day holding period before you can trade non-marginable securities such as QBID, and it's not even the 5th day but the 6th biz day that you can finally trade. A check brings that to a 10 business day holding period. You can call customer service at Ameritrade and they can tell you when your money will be available for trading, but make sure you specify you want ot trade non-marginable stocks. GL, ~BB

Now to what I was going to say to start with. There will be one key statement made soon that will either make us very well off or sink us to the bottom. They will say WE ARE GOING TO LANUCH THIS DATE or they will say WE ARE NOT GOING TO LANUCH. If they say the first we are in big time. If they say the second. We will lose everything. At the point they say WE ARE NOT GOING TO LANUCH it will be to late to get out. No one will buy it. Only sellers with no buyers. Just wanted to make that point. Some have said well if they do not lanuch we can sell it. That is a no go. I feel we will see #1 for sure and be off and running. As I said before. U4 is the most valuable person on the board and I thank you for all your post. Send CASH some money all. To help support his trip. Time is close now. 007 Bond James Bond

Wagner had an earlier position, but they sold out, and then bought back in at a higher level from what I can find out. Still a positive thing. Institutional investors invest for profits

Having institutional investors is a big thing for pinkie.. As there are more people with +ve attitude than -ve attitude, I think this will go up even before the NCTA convention.. IMHO

no doubt, I agree. On another note, I also read somewhere that schwab is a market maker for qbid. But I wish I could find it again. Anyone else have this info? I still can't get Rossie, out of my head. Last night I had a dream of her standing at the booth talking about qtelevision..., great dream. It ended up with me waking up (still dreaming though) and looking at the pps. Needless to day that really woke me up and it was not until I checked the price, that I realized it was sat. and it was not at $10! lol, but soon we might be. All we have to do is launch!!!

Frank has already said it is his intention to take this international. I do not remember where I read this but he made it clear, this will be an international TV Network. That & the fact that broadcasting TV Networks do not trade for less than a buck is why I keep saying,,,

i agree whiz, and he has already hired the lady that can take it international........in seven different languages if she wants
