Really tempting to put a grand in CIT at .10 and just leave it. Although they could sit in that range for another year, kind of like LEHMQ.

This sucks. I have to sit here and wait on the sidelines for my funds to "settle". I can't intraday trade anymore. What's the point of doing this then? They say its because daytrading is more risky, which it is and I understand that. However, its my money, let me do what I want. They have no problem when people blow thousands in Vegas, do they?

glenn...what broker do you have...really does not matter...what you need to do is apply "Margin" status to this account...you do not need to use the margin...but i do believe that the funds are ready to trade right away and you can sidestep the 3 day waiting period "freeride" BS...I have a margin account less than $10K with scottrade that i trade options with and it works that way..so good luck

I have Scottrade, but since I did 4 round trip trades within a 5 day window, I am considered a day trader and they take away the margin, which takes away my settled funds sideskirt also. Sucks.

Thanks Glenn. I pretty much figured you wouldn't be here much till you got your stuff straightened out. Yeah FAS is pretty low, although I'm wondering if the market is headed for a correction...??

I have been trading for about 2 years off and on. First time I ever did it was with $3000. Lost every penny. Just got back into it around April. Learned a little more and up 30% this year because of it. Here's what I know about trading.
Fundamentals-correct about 65% of the time. Technicals-correct about 50% of the time.
My strategy-Get a feel for where market sentiment is and you will more often than not get it right.

Sorry TJ, didn't answer all of your questions. Only part time. I have three jobs. I race AMA Superbike in the summer, a product manager at Arrow Electronics year-round, and an auto broker year round as well.

I like to keep my plate full. Married, got a kid, couple houses. City council member, colorado springs economic member. Wouldn't have it any other way.
