SKF is trading at 117.00 - did you mean 100 shares at 116.90 or 16.90?

CEGE....Bid $1.11. Interesting. Will have to see how I play the market today. Will hold something over the weekend but doing a day trade too.

Raj....just be patient. You can play CEGE when I tell you and you will make money. Just watch the posts. I have to see what its going to do. If you buy at open...it might crash and burn right off the back. But Risk = greater return/loss. Market open is RISKY!!

GTE....not a favorite for me.

BPOP....up huge. Posted this one a while ago. $8.70

CEGE....flatlined.

WAVE...$1.03....debating on shorting also. Nervous about it.

PMI....$3.28....Thinking of shorting this at the current price.

FRE....$4.62....thinking of shorting also. I would have to sell at $4.70 range for me to do it. Would cover at $4.50.

So my plan today is short FRE first then cover. Then short PMI and hold over the hurricane.

Yeah I know....its a crazy day like usual. I am down $330 on it. If I have to hold over the weekend. I am ok with that. With the hurricane mess coming, it will shake the market. Especially if it hits the oil wells.

I had originally placed my short order in at $4.63 and then chased it down.

I'm eager to cover and short PMI at $3.38

i m just laying low today - too much unpredictability around the market plus long weekend so taking it easy unless something eye cathing pops up....can't do shorting stuff anyways right now since not much funds available...but R1 let me know if CEGE looks like a buy whenever - i'll keep checking here

I tried to buy UAUA yesterday at $10.80. Never got filled. But I have no feel on it. I just see the volitility in this one.

Down $495 on FRE now. $4.63....where I wanted to short it at in the first place. What bad luck!!

I had to get my son so couldn't look more. I read the ticker this morning but forgot it when I went to my office. Tried typing possibilities and searching. Guess I didn't look hard enough. I thought it would show up as a top gainer stock on NYSE or Nasdaq. But doesn't show up. Has a lot of volume. No idea why I couldn't find it. Maybe they wanted me to lose my money.

And when I was trying to short FRE....I was going to sell around $4.98. I had to play with the volume and the price and it kept dropping. That is how I chased it down.

WM....$4.05....up a ton the past few days. I was going to buy that around $3.60 but was holding BAC.

He is saying some stocks perform better in a BEAR Market. So when the Bulls run all over, those stocks go down. When the Bears come to play, those stocks go down.

Kind of like this.

A lot of people freak out when the market goes down and run to mutual funds or money market funds. When the market goes up, they want to catch the bus too so those markets can go down because of the selling. Hope that explains it somewhat.

We are not telling you to short stocks. We are saying there are stocks out there that you buy that will go up when the market goes down. That is all we are saying. So if you know how to make a trade then you can do that too.

i do understand what you're saying here....there are stocks out there that go up when market goes down and vice versa - do you trade them the same way on sites such as scottrade? go into trade and basically buy that stock or is it any diff? I am still buying when market is up so the stock is down and hope for market to go down in next few days so my stock can be up, do i have this right? and also, does that include the tickers morpheus suggested?

SKF is called "ultrashort financials" you buy just like you you did SOLF only its p[remis is ..when the financials go down..it goes up and vice versa..SRS is called "ultrashort realestate" same thing..when the real estate stocks go down..that symbol goes up...it is hoping the stocks go down..you buy and sell the exact way as another symbol..example RIMM, IBM, MSFT, JMBA..these are all bought cause you think they are gonna rise in price cause the market is going up..but with ultra short stocks thye would go down itf the market is strong and thei dow is rising..example is this morning..everything i had "bet on" last friday did a complete 180 degree and I was way off the mark...errrr..but SKF gapped down to 108.75 and is now climbing the wall of worry..currently 113.25..cause the financials opened strong..and are now declining ..but SKF is climbing..trades just like the others..no shorting juct your typical buy and sell ..
