Closed at 39.35. Hopefully tomorrow is better, but I'm only down $50 at this point, so I'm not too worried.

According to Yahoo, the % held by institutions is:

% Held by Institutions1: 106.50%

and the short position is:

Short % of Float (as of 11-Dec-07)3: 7.10%

Is it typical (or at least "normal") for big board stocks to have such large institutional ownership and short positions? Seems like the public float would be essentially negative, and there would be a possibility for an exaggerated upward move with buying pressure, correct?

thanks man. Good info.

By the way, it's funny to me, after playing mostly penny stocks, how much money is traded on the big boards. For example, I just looked at WCC and saw 116,000 in volume and was thought "Geez, is it halted or something", before realizing that 116,000 is over $4million in volume.

WHy even bother with pennies and I never lost sleep

Running my analysis now to look for the next one.

Hopefully this one was the anomoly.

I bought at the open on 1/2, I think it was, and based on a bunch of things, but the final "trigger", for lack of a better word, was the $2million open market purchase by the VP of Operations:

2007-12-27
Purchase 2007-12-31
2:27 pm WESCO INTERNATIONAL INC WCC Rosenbaum Robert B
(Vice President, Operations) 50,000 $39.43 $1,971,500

cactus, I don't put stock into those types of purchases, because they are simply 10% holders, as opposed to true "insiders".

Good luck to you if you have any though!

Cats --- what is unsettling to me about this particular stock. There is just no volume. [Good Luck] If you do decide to go in with a buy.

It was a little strange how it turned. the vol issued doesnt bother me, semis have been nailed lately, vol should come..thanks ..jmho

Looks like I missed SBGI last week. Got a false positive earlier, and so when I saw the symbol again I didn't look at it closely enough. Would have gotten in at the open on the 10th at about 8.46 and out at the close yesterday at about 8.66.

Would have been just over 2%.

Oh well...

just joined today and have spent most of the day researching some of your trades for entry and exits. can't really help with the entry since you use data provided to yoy for owner purchases but on exits let me suggest a technical trade set-up i use very successfully. use a fast stochastic set at 4,8,6 and another set at 12,3,3 an use a 1 or 3 month chart. sell when black line crosses back down below 80, best buy is when black line crosses red under 20. insiders don't always buy on the bottom. check a couple of your favorites and let me know what you think.

BEST IN YOUR TRADING:KENNETH RAY
