I learned a quick lesson in one of the most important fundamentals of life: cash-flow.
Why don't they teach this stuff in school instead of how to put a condom on a banana? Great, so our kids can protect fruit from STDs, but can't balance their own economic lives. Yeeesssshhhh...
Sorry about the OT rant.
I could not agree more. I recommend the Rich Dad publishing books to everyone I know. They teach exactly what you preach.

Just a note: See how quiet it is when we are up 10% on the day?
Anyway, I thought this was a very powerful response to someone questioning the PE of NDOL:
PE too high on a startup?
Please, show another oil Pink startup with a PE, you have to have earnings to get a PE factor.
Most Pink CEO's/Presidents draw income equal to what NDOL has in earnings......as the company is losing ten times that amount annually.
Most startups on any board don't have reserves, they are looking for reserves or have purchased the rights to some used fields they are looking to pressurize and force out sludge.
Most startups in the Pinks don't put out 10ks or talk of putting out 8k's.
Your firm has a PE and therefore is covering costs, is smart enough to provide service and income before the oil is pumped, has an experienced management group, 200 million barrels of oil, puts out SEC documents revealing their financial and company status. The quality of this stock beats 99% of all pink sheet stocks today. __________

good for you hawk. I made 40K on the first run to 1.50, so I can wait to take my profits on this next run! I would be doing the same as you but my avg of 93K shares is .68, so I have to wait a while now. Oh well, that's what happens in Pinky land:)

Well, some regulars of this board are conspicuous by their absence. One of them is cracking jokes about the shots fired on Capital Hill in another thread.

About 12 years. Predominantly real estate. You?
BTW: You all have one of the most enjoyable baseball venues in the country. And your harbor district is something to be envied - I believe the same developer did Jacksonville's.

OK, you guys write too much for me to follow. But like almost everybody, I'm trying to do some DD. So I wrote to Oil India and told them about the PR. Here is the answer I got. Thought I would share, even if it's bad news and I'm called a basher...

Dear Sir,
This has reference to your email to our company. Oil India Limited has not entered into any Joint Venture / MoU with North West Oil Group of Russia .
This is for your kind information please.

You are correct, Darkhawk. Oil India and North West Oil Group have not entered into a JV. Is this supposed to be news? Perhaps we should all read the PR again:
Nord Oil / the North-West Oil Group to Create a Joint-Venture With Oil India Media Release May 25, 2006
Nord Oil / The North-West Oil Group (PINKSHEETS: NDOL) and its president Mr. Ernest Malyshev are pleased to announce today that they are finalizing negotiations with Oil India, a leading oil and gas state enterprise for the creation of a joint venture to develop the Russian Oil market. The Russian Oil Market constitutes approximately 49 billion barrels of proven oil reserves (4.8% of world's reserves) ranking six in the world. At the moment about 2,000 oil and gas deposits have been discovered in the territory of 36 out of 89 Russian subjects. Hydrocarbon material is produced in 30 out of those 36. The maintaining of production rate requires state and private investments both in the upgrading of oil production and improvement of infrastructure and the newly formed joint venture will actively participate in such endeavors. __________

I deal with attorneys daily and have learned wording is crucial. I appreciate Darkhawk's post because it creates constructive conversation. The key phrase of the PR was, "...they are finalizing negotiations with Oil India, a leading oil and gas state enterprise for the creation of a joint venture to develop the Russian Oil market."
Now, if we got a PR from Oil India denying this claim then I would stop and take notice.

I'm riding free shares, so I have nothing to worry about. But I've been caught once in a pinky who stated partnerships that weren't true and the bigger companies never denied.
But wouldn't Oil India tell me they're negociating? I see your point Wes, but I'm still not convinced.

The reason I ask is because this was just posted over there:
Guys, I sent the Oil India PR to Oil India and asked them to confirm the information in it. I got this response this morning:
Dear Sir,
This has reference to your email to our company. Oil India Limited has not entered into any Joint Venture / MoU with North West Oil Group of Russia .
This is for your kind information please.

This is the email I sent:
Hello,
I am seeking confirmation from Oil India regarding the recent press release from North-West Oil Group, copied below. I am not seeking additional details at this time, but would like confirmation that indeed negotiations for a joint-venture are being finalized. Please forward to the appropriate department that could confirm or deny the information in this release.
Thank you for your help, __________
And to answer your question on point. I don't have any clue what a rep. from Oil India would want to say or is at liberty to say about alleged ongoing negotiations. I have been involved in real estate deals where only one party is allowed to proactively disburse information to the media. The other has a contractual gag-order. The reasons for this are endless. So, if your e-mail is legit and the response is legit then I take very little away from that exchange.

No, that's not me! I have posted on Ihub for another thread, but I have the same alias.
I guess they got some inquiries and they answered them all with the same message.
My email (and the one from Ihub) asked only for conformation of the PR. You think it's possible they can't even confirm?

Well, Unless this turns into another SPRL.PK.
That's not a good thing by the way for those that aren't familiar with SPRL and Ruski oil.
Ruski's and US Stocks usually don't mix well. How about GTE and all the legal trouble they've got for entertaining the Ruski's. That on tanked from $3+ after that "deal" fell through. They claimed a $600 Million deal which was a sham IMO.
