Hasn't FRPT shown a history of timing big news around historically significant days for patriotic Americans (i.e., July 4, 9/11)? Tomorrow's 12/7. Just a wild hunch, but what do I know?

Force Protection, Inc. Partners with U.S. Army on Jobs Program Wednesday December 6, 5:15 pm ET
LADSON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Force Protection, Inc. (OTCBB:FRPT - News) today signed an agreement with the U.S. Army Recruiting Command to provide priority hiring status to veterans participating in the Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program.
PaYS is a strategic partnership between the Army and a cross section of U.S. corporations and public-sector agencies. The program was developed to help the Army attract, train and deploy talented young people who want to serve their country and secure their future career success after completing their military service.
"The success of our life-saving armored vehicles in the field depends in large part on the skill level and ability of our workforce," said Force Protection COO Ray Pollard. "Our partnership with the U.S. Army and its PaYS program will be a wonderful resource to attract the type of employees needed to carry on this critical work for our troops."
Under the agreement, recruits will sign a statement of intent to work for Force Protection upon completion of their service. As they near the end of their enlistment, soldiers will have the opportunity to interview with Force Protection for available positions.
"The Army is excited to add Force Protection to its team of corporate partners in the PaYS program," said Col. David Gill, U.S. Army Recruiting 2nd Brigade Commander. "We are so proud of our partnerships like this that enable our recruiters to offer applicants quality employment opportunities after their Army service."
Job opportunities with Force Protection are available now and are listed in the Army's PaYS database. For more information, interested applicants may log onto www.armypays.com or visit their local recruiter.

Sorry to hear that Jo. Hope you get well soon - at least in time to see FRPT just smash through your 16.35 You didn't see Chart's post yesterday about the RSI getting really high?
I've been out all day traveling on business so only now (11pm) have I had a chance to see what just happened. My eyes just went "OO", and now I'm executing the "loser stock selloff marathon" plan to just put it all on this "shoe-in" winner. If I could, I'd throw the kitchen sink at this thing, but it probably would just bounce off the V-hull. Haha. My plan needs a day to execute, so we'll see.

I'm feeling a little better today, although I slept right through dinner last night until this morning. Hopefully, I can fight this thing.
I'm still confident that the price will go right back through my $16.35 shares, but I sure wish I would have been more patient and waited for the bottom instead, that would have been more fun.
I think it was headlines from this report combined with weak new hands in the stock, that caused the big drop. But after taking time to read it through (well, most of it anyhow, it WAS 84 pages long), no matter what course of action the U.S. takes, FRPT vehicles are still going to be needed.

Yeah... hey, you know that PRs are coming before 2007... only a few more weeks. I still stand beside my prediction of $20 before the end of the year.

U.S. Marine Corps Orders More Force Protection Vehicles Friday December 8, 8:30 am ET $69-Million Delivery Order Fulfills Cougar Contract
LADSON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Continuing strong demand for Force Protection, Inc.'s (OTCBB:FRPT - News) armored vehicles was highlighted today as the manufacturer announced another delivery order from the U.S. Marine Corps worth an estimated $69 million for 100 additional Cougar Joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal Rapid Response Vehicles (JERRV). The order marks the fulfillment of a sole source contract previously announced and awarded to Force Protection on November 9, 2006.
More than 300 Force Protection vehicles are currently in the field, and have an unmatched record for troop safety in the face of improvised explosive devices, land mines and roadside bombs in Iraq and Afghanistan. Popular with explosive ordnance disposal teams and other first response units who credit the vehicles with saving their lives, the vehicles incorporate a V-shaped hull design that deflects the force of blasts away from passengers.
"Our vehicles have set the standard for blast protection," said Force Protection CEO Gordon McGilton. "Thousands of incidents in the global war on terror show that Force Protection's proven blast protection technology saves the lives of our troops on the ground who constantly face explosive threats. We are gratified to know that many more vehicles will be deployed in support of their critical mission. This order once again confirms that the investments we have been making to increase our capacity will prove to be time and money well-spent."
Force Protection, Inc. manufactures ballistic- and mine-protected vehicles through its wholly owned subsidiary. These specialty vehicles are protected against landmines, hostile fire, and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs, commonly referred to as roadside bombs). Force Protection's mine and ballistic protection technology is among the most advanced in the world. The vehicles are manufactured outside Charleston, S.C.
