To me what this is saying is Ameritrade should never have let us sell short.....We did it unknowingly. Our shares were in our accounts..... Looks like to me it is their problem if there is one.

I had a split a couple of years ago, was LUMI i was only buyer at 5 bucks, wayne i htink followed at 10, was a 20 bagger, RJT.com was calling me for days threatening me i was short. They paid me. I told them to get screwed. Was an ex date/record date screw up. Dont swaet it pdc, it will work out.

That is the information that I was directing you to. (when my link didn't work). That is why the broker shut down sells when they realized the shares would not be available.
Slow down and think about it ONE more time. How many people can get their dividend shares when the O/S consists of 33 million post split(unless the printing presses are running now). This board alone theoretically owns this company many times over (pre or post split). There is no need to hassle your broker about the shares tomorrow, because they won't have them, because they DO NOT EXIST, unless you win the lottery and get the first chance at the 33M. Every share that has been traded since this began, except possibly a couple of shares, has been sold short, either intentionally or unintentionally.
However Thursday morning, if we are still playing,I will contact my broker and ask for my shares. I won't get them but I will ask.
Just don't get too excited and count your chickens before they hatch.
Just my opinion but I think you may be a part of something historical. It may or may not make the headlines, because we all know that our present system does not allow the selling of nonexistant securities so NSS can't possibly happen. LOL
Sure looks to me like it has happened here.

apparently, from my scanning/lurking whatever you wanna call it, you Ameritrade guys also have a function that allows you to tell when your f/s shares have been confirmed/"settled"/identified...

Yeah, we are. I'm guessing that the SEC might end up making this the poster child for this. I hope they do, so all this NS business can be put to rest for good. Theres no reason for them to be on the company's side here, we pay their salaries and they are there to protect us! As far as the brokers, it appears they are giving us scare tactics saying we can't do this and can't do that. BOGUS! If they are in my account, I will do anything (buy or sell) that I want with them. I OWN THEM.

i didn't post here much today, you guys are crazy, as i said still holding.
my play from day one is to sell when they start the buyback, someone will have to do it. Tomorrow should be a crappy new seller dump day. but, maybe the buyback starts then.
I am not worried about all this short talk since I won't give any a way for .0001
Good luck to all tomorrow. Since its the bills due date, I'd like to think it ALL goes down tomorrow but, things get delayed when lawyers are involved.

LOL cruz, finally not a question. It could take a month of legal ranglin before share buy back, with bills due date weds, i'm expecting it quick but we really don't know. this is an unknown.
just like when ameritrade got the shares a bunch sold market orders for .000002 LOL when later that day they would've got .0001 people get impatient. I can't say what will happen as i have no clue. I can tell you I'm waiting for the run.
If people doubt a run, why the major share push EOD monday and EOD friday.

Let me caution you guys about one more thing. The way I read and understood those regs, you could be off the hook ONLY if you sold over the internet without being warned of your possible liabilities. I am definitely not a lawyer, but you might want to read it again to make sure. I just don't want to see anyone here get hurt over this.
