maybe. Or else tomorrow with no news, you might hit it. I think that it will rebound by the end of the day a little higher than Thursday's close, but I could be wrong. Anticipation is starting to build for a pr.

Can someone answer this question for me. I was watching Jim Cramers "Mad Money" on Friday and he like the stock CMGI...so I bought 400 shares this morning on Scottrade. After I bought the shares it showed this on my statement "CMGI Reverse Split" what exactly does that mean and is this a bad sign? Anyone have an idea.
quote: A reduction in the number of a corporation's shares outstanding that increases the par value of its stock or its earnings per share. The market value of the total number of shares (market capitalization) remains the same.
For example, a 1:2 reverse split means you get half as many shares, but at twice the price.
It's usually a bad sign if a company is forced to reverse split. Firms do it to make their stock "look" more valuable, but in reality nothing changes. A company may also do a reverse split to avoid being delisted.

I hope so, then I can get closer to my goal of 100k. Then I'll be able to take a few years of vacation from trading and come back when there's some fat earnings in my portfolio. We don't need any ten foot poles in this thread.

Phrogger, there aren't many days that you will be without PR's. Sometimes when things move this fast you get caught up in the momentum and forget what this is all about. Don't let that be your fate.

Then there's the issue that this company trades on the Bulletin Board. Keep in mind that the Bulletin Board is kind of like the Wild West of investing, where the rules are fast and loose and the shares are easier to manipulate. I also consistently urge Ask Matt readers to stick with stocks trading on a major exchange.

This is like the financial advisors that recommend to retired people to 'be safe' and buy CD's that get 3% interest a year so they net 2 percent after taxes in an economy that has 3 1/2 % inflation... LOL
