Just don't forget about what Tim said about getting clearance for takeoff from NASA and the FAA. It may still be 30-60 more days. We'll have to wait and see. I'll be accumulating plenty, probably around the end of May or so.

This would've been a great day trade today if I had funds available. GTEL is my favorite pennystock, I am waiting until I feel the time is right to get back in.

Just remember also, GTEL has been spending the majority of their resources on the Strats. I'm not expecting a descent 1Q financials. They are just in the beginning stages of building S2 as well. I believe the estimated cost is around $8 million per full size strat. GTEL is a patience play for the longs right now.

Just when you are ready to give up!! S1 FLOATS!!!!

GTEL Announces Floating and Testing of Sanswire One
May 9, 2005
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--May 9, 2005--Sanswire Networks, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GlobeTel Communications Corp., today announced that the Stratellite prototype, Sanswire One, has been completed, floated and tested. The new design increased the overall size of the airship to 188 feet in length and is believed to be the largest rigid frame airship in existence.
 -
Sanswire One floats, tethered, in the Company's San Bernardino hangar. Notice the person standing underneath the airship on the left of the picture. More Sanswire One pictures and specifications can be found at
http://www.sanswire.com/production-photos-may9.htm

Sanswire One was filled with lifting gas and flown under controlled conditions. These are parts of the limited testing that will be performed at Sanswire's facility in San Bernardino, prior to moving to its new facilities near Edwards Air Force Base. Sanswire intends to launch Sanswire One for full testing from Edwards with help from the US Air Force and NASA later this summer.

Timothy M. Huff, CEO of GTEL, commented: "This is a great day for us at GlobeTel and Sanswire. It has been a long and hard road to get to this point and many have said we couldn't do it. But as they say, `a picture is worth a thousand words.'"

Sanswire One was floated and tested within the airspace specified by the FAA and was tethered at all times. Airborne stress measurements and other data were gathered by the Sanswire Engineering team. It has now been returned to the hangar in San Bernardino and placed in backwards, nose facing the hangar door.

Mr. Huff continued: "We have made significant breakthroughs in our airship design and our technological advancements. We have reached our initial goals for this airship and we are now focused on the next steps of our plan, which will include our upcoming launch at Edwards. We will capitalize on what we have accomplished to this point. The interest in our project by governments, world leaders and large corporations grow almost weekly."

Sanswire One is being dedicated to Christopher Jones, the son of Bob Jones, President of Sanswire and the team leader who leads this project with his team. Christopher passed away in February, 2005.

About Sanswire Networks, LLC:

Sanswire Networks is a wholly owned subsidiary of GlobeTel Communications Corporation whose shares are publicly traded under the symbol GTEL.

A Stratellite™ is a high-altitude airship that when in place in the stratosphere (approximately 65,000 feet) will provide a stationary platform for transmitting various types of wireless communications services currently transmitted from cell towers and satellites. It is not a balloon or a blimp, but a high-altitude airship with a rigid structure.

The Stratellite is similar to a satellite in concept, but is stationed in the stratosphere rather than in orbit. Existing satellites provide easy "download" capabilities, but because of their high altitude are not practical for commercially viable "two-way" high-speed data communication. The Stratellite will allow subscribers to easily communicate in "both directions" using readily available wireless devices.

About GlobeTel Communications Corporation:

GlobeTel Communications Corporation is a diversified Telecommunications and Financial Services Company. GlobeTel Communications Corporation operates business units in Stored Value debit cards, as a certified MasterCard processor, the sale of Carrier grade VOIP of Long Distance to major Long Distance re-sellers, VOIP Technology and development, and high altitude airship research and development. These self contained business units were developed to operate independently of each other. The symbiotic relationship however, provides value to each of the other business units. This strategy offers GlobeTel financial diversity and risk mitigation while striving toward its operating objectives.

Operating on a global basis, GlobeTel has, historically, focused its business development on markets outside of the United States. Current operations and business relationships exist in Asia, Europe, South America, Mexico and the Caribbean.

At least they put the goddamn cover on the freakin' blimp - excuse me, airship - before they took the damn pitcherz.

I can hear the morons in Globetel's marketing department, "Hey, let's release pictures of the airship's bare frame, so everyone can see that our blimp still looks like a giant metal whale's ribcage! Surely then everyone will want to buy more of our stock."

Freakin' idiots.

If they would not have screwed up the last photo release which sent the pps plummetting back down to .22, we could have been looking at the forties today instead of the mid to high twenties.

GlobeTel Announces Approval to Move to the American Stock Exchange and Continuation of Corporate Restructuring
Monday May 9, 3:52 pm ET

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 9, 2005--GlobeTel Communications Corp. (OTCBB:GTEL - News) announced today that, by written consent of the majority vote of its shares, the Board of GlobeTel has approved a reverse split of its shares on a one for fifteen (1:15) basis. This restructuring move is being made as part of the Board's overall strategic plan.

Timothy Huff, CEO of GlobeTel, stated: "This capital restructuring is consistent with the overhauling of our various business segments and will place our capital structure and share price to be more in line with a business of our stature, and the credibility of our business standing. This reverse split is being made immediately prior to our move to the American Stock Exchange."

Huff continued: "We are very pleased and excited to be approved to list our shares on the AMEX. The AMEX has an excellent reputation and history and we are looking forward to this next step in our overall plan."

GlobeTel has notified the NASD of the pending reverse split and it is planned that the shares will begin trading (post reverse) on the American Stock Exchange on May 19, 2005. GlobeTel has reserved a future trading symbol with the American Stock Exchange. At the time of the move, GlobeTel will change its symbol from GTEL to GTE.

Mr. Huff stated: "We are a vibrant and growing company and believe that our business initiatives are growing at our desired rate and we are pleased with the success and confidence that our shareholders have placed in us. Our significant success with our Stratellite release today shows that. This decision is one further step toward our continued success. While many companies reverse-split their shares because they are in trouble, we do not fall into that category. I want to stress to our shareholders that this decision is in the best interests of the Company and the shareholders. We are all excited about the future of GlobeTel and our shareholders."

About the American Stock Exchange:

The American Stock Exchange has been a pioneer in market innovation for more than a century and remains committed to developing successful new investment products and innovative services for companies and investors.

As the nation's most diversified financial marketplace, the American Stock Exchange conducts trading through an advanced centralized specialist system and is committed to providing a superior marketplace for the investing public and its members.

The following is for illustration purposes only:

If a shareholder owns 15,000 shares of GTEL at a price of .27 per share (for a total value of $4,050.00), following the reverse split, that same holder would own 1,000 shares of stock with a theoretical price of $4.05 per share for a total value of $4,050.00. The illustration is that the total value of shares may not change as the number of shares owned will.

About GlobeTel Communications Corporation:

4.00 pps would attract institutional investors and really put this litle one on the map. And we get to see it on CNBC. Then we will get mentioned on mad money. Hopefully there are things coming soon that will justify this move!!

Ok so I have 5000 shares. After the split I'll have 333...

Even at $4.08 a share that won't do much for me.

I am thinking take profits on the news rally and get out.

Any reason why I shouldn't??

Like perhaps a post AMEX forward split??

nothing has changed except that we are now ON the AMEX...

they said they would get us on it and we know there is 3$ limit to get on....

we are on....

no doubt there are plenty of people that will find a way to make this sound better than it is and worse than it is....

i'm in for the test flight.....
