he's pretty good, but his career kept getting "interrupted" by his bad HABIT and every once inawhile he'd go thru rehab and put out some good jams then go back to nodding... too bad,
after this one check out "friends who died" if you haven't before...

Jimmy Carrol is still breathing last i checked, but nodding ain't living i think he won a pulitzer for poetry he wrote at 14... ran around with Ginsberg for awhile.. a beatnik at 16....
i've seen aloto' people fall down on stage while giving great shows..
Billy Idol White Wedding tour? the guy was luded or drunk or both... but he did put out some rock...
i had a chickie that insisted i buy Bowie Tix, Serious moonlight tour? he NEEDED something that show to loosen up. guy was tighter than a drum the show stunk...
i saw him years earlier when he was still not a superstar and he was much better...
ELP put on the best show i ever saw, hard to beleive three guys could put out that much sound...
i have seen a lotof people on their breakout tour, and i'd rathar do that than go to any stadium...
U2 in 83? Ritchie Coliseum at U MD? about 2000 seats? Bono had a mic on a long cord and walked way out into the audience and everybody just handled his cord for him.... stadiums? yawn.
i might even still have ticket stub to U2 from 83... is that kinda stuff still collectable?

Isss all good. Delbert is a hometown guy, as is Ornette Coleman... edges get blurry here: it's OK to color outside the lines.
High School? emphasis on high...was great cruisin' while doing a j, listening to "Locomotive Breath," "When the Levee Breaks," or "Funk 49"... uber-cool, lol

Saw Pink Floyd at Olympia Stadium in 1974...it was general admission and we got there the night before to get the best seats...we took sleeping bags and camped out on the street in downtown Detroit (talk about blurry). The morning of the show there were about 8 Detroit cops there and I remember this guy walking up to one of them and asked, what would you guys do if I lit up a joint? The officers response was...well since there are only 8 of us and about 500 of you...not much! That's all it took and the party started. We ended up in the 2nd row and they did the complete "Dark Side of the Moon" album. There were a lot of "tabs" going around. GREATEST SHOW I ever saw and I saw just about every big band of that era...Zeppelin, The Who, Tull, etc.
