immediately named as his replacement Eliot Spitzer, the former governor of New York, who took over Mr. Olbermann’s 8 p.m. time slot on Friday night.
By replacing Mr. Olbermann, Mr. Spitzer is getting a second shot at an 8 p.m. talk show; in 2010, two years after he resigned the governorship after he admitted having patronized a prostitution ring, he led a short-lived show on CNN. It was canceled in mid-2011.

yeah, that does not inspire me to watch the Current.
Unless...If they brought on Ashley Dupre' as his co-host and she constantly referred to him as number 9...yeah, I might tune in to see that for a few.

i've never understood why prostituion is illegal...
it's more honest than the stock market.... when i was in th eNavy? they used to be witiing on the docks, and they even got free health checks from our military in some places

Eliot Spitzer Debuts as Olbermann’s Replacement — Network Ratings Drop 74%
Eliot Spitzer’s premiere on Current TV, where he is replacing Keith Olbermann, debuted to shockingly low ratings Friday night.
The former CNN host drew a total of 47,000 people in his 8pm time slot, only 10,000 of which were in the key 25-54 demographic. To put that in perspective, it is down 74% from Olbermann’s nightly average in March, and roughly 1/10 of the viewership at MSNBC in the same time slot (and roughly 1/30 of Fox News).
