>>Thanks for making us suffer-----I am more scared of you than Bushmonkey/Cheney.<<

A British newspaper's headline said it best: "How Could 61 Million Americans Be So Dumb?" I sometimes wonder if these people really exist, that maybe these numbers all came from Diebold. I'm sure there is some of that, but when I watched the Wyoming State Legislature all rise to their feet and give that rousing ovation to Cheney, I had to admit to myself there really are a lot of dumb azzes out there.

In a fall 2003 fundraising letter sent to Republicans, from Diebold CEO Walden O'Dell:

"I am committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president."

E-voting machine maker Diebold is based in North Canton, Ohio.

Hmmm...

the people that like Cheney won't change their mind, even if Libby testifies Cheney ordered him to "out" Plame.....

i was yakking with a nice littl old lady the other day, and she said "that poor man, they are so hard on him" and she didn't mean the lawyer [Wink]

i rememeber people that excused Clinton for lying right into the camera....

think of politics like a canoe.... too many people on one side? and it capsizes......

Toshiba finalizes $5.4 bln Westinghouse purchase
By Alex MacDonald and Brooke Donovan
Last Update: 9:01 AM ET Feb 6, 2006

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Japan's Toshiba Corp. (6502.TO) Monday finalized the purchase of nuclear-technology company Westinghouse Electric Co. for $5.4 billion - nearly three times what Westinghouse's parent first hoped to fetch at auction.
Toshiba President and Chief Executive Atsutoshi Nishida said the company will buy 100% of Westinghouse and retain a 51% stake in the company, selling the remaining minority stake to potential partners including U.S. and Japanese companies.

Even if they could safely handle the waste issue somehow (and I can't see how), the possibility of a natural disaster or terrorist attack occurring at one of these plants is very real; probably inevitable.

So long as the U.S. is determined to try and dictate to the rest of the world how they live and conduct their inner-governmental activities and we insist that we can take and abuse their people as we damned well please, there will be increasing "terrorist" activities. We are becomming little more than the world's bully....and a not very handsome bully.
