remember when the Colts kicker Vanderjerk was dogging Manning and the rest of his own Colt's a while back? Then when the game is on the line, Vanderjerk blows it. Bet he's fired before he get's in the locker room.

Oh I know Carolina has great a D, but it was just the Giants. Little Manning needs to grow.

I always taught my teams to regard the refs as just another aspect of the game, like the "spinner" in those board games, where ya draw a "move-three-spaces-back" card: sometimes you get a good call, but don't count on it...As a former player and as a coach, I know the toughest job on the field is the ref's...
However, as fans watching a playoff game in the NF f'n L, I think we could expect a higher level of officiating: they called the Colts' defender for intereference, when his early contact made no difference on the play; yet they did *not* call the Steeler's interefering with a game-changing TD...but, hey, was that to make-up for the interception they robbed from Palomalo (sp?) ????? That one really bugs me--it's like the message is, "Hey, don't even try on the tough ones." What a display of athleticism he made...and clearly had control etc etc... I understand the changes they've had to make since old-school days--spearing, protect the QB etc re general violent mayhem--but to deny that superb interception shows contempt for the basis of sport...the display of elevated athletic skill.
If that's a "correct ruling," the rules have gone too far...
OK, my rant for the day...back to scheduled programming

Carolina's Steve Smith has 11 catches for 215 yards already. Guess he's getting a bonus.

The NFC is, the AFC is the Broncos for the taking! I mean ofcourse they still have to play the game and all, but Denver is undefeated this year at home, #2 in the leauge in rushing this season, also #2 at stoping the run this season.
Also heard a rumor Elway may come out of retirement to play if they make it to the Super Bowl.LOL (okay, I'M starting the rumor, lol)

Yeah, well if Carolina's defense allows the Bears? absolutely non-existant offense to score as many points and rack up the yards they did, what do you think a team that has a good offense like the Hawks have are gonna do to 'em? Oh, and the Bears defense....well thanks bears, you made me a cool grand on Sunday. Also, Carolinas one dimensional offense needs to find another dimension or two. Seattles DB's are too good to only have one guy to throw to. They only way I'll bet against the Hawks is if the spread gets into double digits and as of this morning I think it was still just 5 1\2 points. Got a grand to burn.

Anyone hear Manning throw his offensive line under the bus. what a jag off, if he hit some open receivers and put up some points different story. LOL he'll stay a loser.
Brady didn't cry when he got smoked on that HUGE interception. Didn't see Big Ben crying when he took that helmet to his throwing arm getting smacked around by 3 guys.
Its part of the game. Big friggin baby.
