It's back & it's smoking. So far it's more than doubled since I first bought in. I'm actually thinking of buying more because this barcode reading technology is starting to take off & NEOM has some patents that many people will have to pay licensing fees to use the most cost effective applications. These guys are right in the middle of this. If companies don't use NEOM's patented technology it will cost them a lot more to set up their own mobile barcode reading applications. They were way a head of the curve 5 & 6 years ago. Now everybody else is catching up to their technology & the MOBILE MEDIA sector looks like it's ready to take off.

I'm hearing about it everywhere!

http://www.reuters.com/news/video?videoId=100074&feedType=VideoRSS&feedName=Tech nology&videoChannel=6

This company is owned by NEOM

Doing business in the early stages.

The whole mobile marketing sector is heating up!
http://www.itweb.co.za/sections/business/2009/0903160807.asp?A=2010&S=2010&O=FPI N

Really heating UP!

http://www.nickburcher.com/2009/02/qr-codes-hitting-mainstream-seen-on.html

Like I said,,, I've already doubled my money, still riding this thing & might buy more Monday. It's behaving the same way it did 5 years ago. I made a mint on it back then & could do a lot better this time. The stock has done a bit of a correction the last 2 days coming off a high of .0148 & closing today at .0135. It looks like it's in another consolidation phase as traders take profits, re-esatablish their positions & new money comes in. Keep in mind I could be totally wrong & this is a penny stock which in itself makes this a super high risk play. However I think I'm right & I'm expecting another move up in the not too distant future. Overall I'm looking for this thing to blow up with even some half way decent news of any revenue generating deals or licensing deals from others using their patented technology.

Interview with Ian McCready!

The guy knows how to behave like the director of a corporation.

Plus he appears confident & presents as having an attitude of success being a question of "time", not "if"

Here's your powder keg

Almost too good to be true but this thing is behaving like it's getting ready to explode.

No pump here. Just an objective observation. This is not a run! THIS IS A TREND! .0219 & closed at the High of the Day! Up another 62% on above average volume. But consider this. Out of 1.3 billion shares only 24,124,149 crossed the board today. That's a drop in the bucket. The real run has yet to materialize. No news announcement. All anticipation. Looks like this is just the beginning.

How are you doing Money?

This one has just started & when it's done it may have outperformed every other stock mentioned on the under .10 board & most of the other boards as well. I can't believe no one here is watching this thing but that's just one of the factors that will fuel a monster run on NEOM

Hhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,,,,

Let me see??????????????

Now I remember.

The last stock I was pumpin...errr...I mean objectively observing was a little gem called ONEV. Their product has potential but it will never be realized because their management are thieves.

This stock is in a different league. It's a penny stock for a reason & I don't know how things will shake out but I've placed a nice size bet * .0069 in late February & getting ready for fireworks.

I don't pretend to know what the cealing is but it's no where near that yet. This thing has a run coming. Any news of a significant material event will take it to new highs. This thing is just getting started.

Just for the fun of it you & Glassman should put it on a watch list. It will be fun to track a lottery pick that just keeps going up.

Closed at .0268 Up more than 23% on above average volume of 51 million shares. Well over a million in value traded hands. Trades appeared to achieve more of a balance, 3 buys for every 2 sells.

This thing has been in an upward trend for 5 weeks, since February 17th when they won the patent re-examination. That has ignited speculation that licensing deals may be forthcoming & has fueled the resurgence of this stock.

We should see some dips periodically that should be viewed as buying opportunities. Who knows, maybe we get a correction tomorrow. In any event there's still time to get in!

On April 3rd there will be a pre-trial hearing on NEOM's patent infringement suit against Scanbuy. If Scanbuy settles my guess is that this thing could see .25 near term. If news of licensing deals begin to appear we will go through twenty five cents with ease.

Overall,,,,Outlook bright!

Sentiment,,,,Very Strong Buy!

Of Interest,,.

Written by Streetstylz

The mobile code ecosystem has been a buzz ever since NeoMedia Technologies announced last month that the United States Patent and Trademark Office had ruled in favor of NeoMedia in the reexamination of its U.S. Patent No. 6,199,048 -- System And Method For Automatic Access Of A Remote Computer Over A Network.

NeoMedia currently has 30 active patents spanning 13 countries, with 29 additional patents pending. These patents cover various linkage methods including: Barcodes, RFID, Mag Stripe, Voice, and other machine readable and keyed entry identifiers.

According to NeoMedia's CEO Iain McCready, "A couple of competitors in the USA have already asked us for a free license but we can’t accept that. We are a business and so are they. In a reasonable manner, and at a fair price, we want to move forward with this. I am open to discussion and we want to be seen as fair. We want the whole mobile barcode market to succeed and the license fee model is tried and tested and it works. It can be as simple or as difficult as people want it to be and we aim to keep it simple. We have been working very very closely with both the GSMA and the OMA, and by being connected, the introduction of a license model can and will only succeed."

With the Google backed ShopSavvy and CompareEverywhere barcode applications making strong headway, and the recently launched Microsoft Tag reader carving out its niche, the mobile code ecosystem is quickly attracting major industry players.

Last week France's Mobile Tag announced that former NeoMedia CEO William "Chip" Hoffman had joined the company to head up their US operations. Mobile Tag uses mobile barcode technology patented by NeoMedia, and makes for a very likely patent licensee. Likewise with Google, Microsoft, Scanbuy and Upcode.

In keeping with its vision and commitment to developing an interoperable global ecosystem, NeoMedia is licensing its technology to foster innovation in the creation of exciting new mobile barcode applications and services.

We've experienced 100% gains the last couple days. There has to be a period of consolidation for the TREND to continue.

You need to be very happy with the way this is trading. NEOM has proven that this is not a flash in the pan or a 3 day run. This is a trend & it couldn't have happened without a pattern of corrections that have solidified ever higher levels of support. I could not be happier with the way this is trading. We need frequent periods of consolidation to continue to establish new highs.

Anyone who is a genuine Long welcomes consolidation as it sets up a new base to continue the climb. This is what differentiates us from a run. NEOM has established a TREND & it's UP!

I can't stress the word TREND! enough. The TREND is your friend. It's the primary reason I do not laugh when people talk about 50 cents & up. It validates the perception that people expect this to become the standard platform for what will become the hottest sector on Wall Street, "Mobile Marketing".

NEOM finally has a solid direction with a CEO who has the skillset & commitment to make it happen.

If NEOM realizes half it's potential, 50 cents PPS is not only realistic, it will be just another area of support on the way to much higher ground. Most people on this board would laugh or call me a pumper if you knew where I expected this to go. There are a lot of longs that had the conviction to not only hold this stock but accumulate & average down during one of the most brutal two & a half year down trends I've ever seen. I genuinely hope that they reap huge rewards for their determination.

On many different boards someone will routinely write "Name me a stock that has gone from sub-penny to over a dollar" To my knowledge there isn't one. I think it's high time that there is a first.

NEOM is an excellent candidate to be the one that makes history! I will hold a position "when" it does!

Today we're down 6.72% on above average volume,,,,Yet buying still outnumbers selling! 11 Buys for every 9 sells. At the end of the day it was very heavy buying compared to almost no sells.

Buy vs. Sell data: Buy volume......22,150,950 vs. Sell volume.......18,142,711

Consolidation, Can't have an historic trend without phases of consolidation.

"11 buys for every 9 sells" ?

They're *all* buys, and they're all sells...

Hey Tex!

My guess is when a trade goes off at the bid it's considered a sell & when it goes off at the ask it's a buy!

Hope this link works,,,

http://ih.advfn.com/p.php?pid=trades&cb=1236362890&symbol=NB^NEOM&java_vm=sun&ja va_vm_ver=1.6.0_12&fp=9.0.124

Today we're down 6.72% on above average volume,,,, YET BUYS STILL OUTNUMBER SELLS! 11 Buys for every 9 Sells . At the end of the day it was very heavy buying compared to almost no sells.

I should have worded it differently... For every 11 shares that went off as a buy only 9 went off as a sell.

Buy vs. Sell data: Buy volume......22,150,950 vs. Sell volume.......18,142,711

Tex!

Let me add that you & I know that when a stock goes up it's considered a bull market & buyers are running it up. When it's going down bears are in controll & we call it a selloff. We also know when MMs want to depress the price of a stock they can take it down on light volume so they can load up &/or cover their short sales.

What I really liked was that at the end of the day it was very heavy buying compared to almost no sells. It looked like traders were scrambling to get back in when the stock did not fall through support. It appears that they're unwilling to "buck the TREND" & be on the sidelines. Any given morning we could get some news that would validate their concern. Then again, this thing doesn't appear to need any news. It's headed up on anticipation!

Hope both these posts help. Best of luck!

Like I said! This thing is in a serious Up-trend!

Once again after a couple days of consolidation & profit taking the upward momentum continues.

Relatively light volume but still above average with a strong close near the HOD.

Up almost 42% on volume of 20,598,879 shares. Most of the buying came after 2 pm.

Buy volume almost double sell volume!

See you at a nickle sometime next week if not higher & don't expect it to stop there!

NEOM has been climbing since the 2/18/09 announcement that they won a two year old patent review on scanning barcodes with any mobile device which immediately connects you to detailed information on the object. They also have the mobile word registry covered.

That places it squarely in the middle of Mobile Marketing which is now heating up & will soon become the hottest sector on Wall Street.

The patent review took place due to a challenge by EFF which appears to be connected to Google. No one challenges an insignificant or useless patent. They challenge patents when they want avoid paying royalties & licensing fees. So that would indicate pretty strongly that someone wants to do exactly what NEOM controls.

This thing is only 3 cents a share & it's locked in 5 week an UP-trend.

Most interligent people are not wondering if this is going up this week. They're wondering how far UP!

Risk vs. Reward appears to be strongly tilted towards reward! VERY STRONG BUY!

So tell me, you really want to short this?

This was posted ealier today! They're starting to wake up to the fact that NEOM is now in a position of strength.

http://we****.cenriqueortiz.com/

I love this part,,,

"The community must recognize the harm of granting obvious patents such as ‘048 which is going to be applied in strength by NeoMedia to everything related to digital-to-physical world connections, such as “mobile barcodes” and even potentially to NFC-based interactions; the latter harder to protect as the ‘048 is mainly about barcodes yet it is up to interpretation as the ‘048 does mention “RF”."

Bottom line! The patent was granted, reviewed & strengthened by a favorable decision for NEOM from the U.S. Patent Office.

Yep! It's dawning on them that if they want to keep up with the competition they will need to license their mobile marketing applications with NEOM!

Italy: Train tickets: reservation and payments

The official website of Italian railways can be found at: http://www.ferroviedellostato.it. There you can browse route options and timetable as well as purchase your train ticket! However, payments by credit card are not always successful! You may find yourself struggling with registration, credit card processing and eventually failure.

A new payment option has been recently added to the site: now you can make your train ticket reservation without registering or using your credit card as you will be given the option (once in Italy) to make the payment cash at one of the many shops in Italy that are connected with the SISAL network! (most Tobacco shops)

You can also pay directly at train stations (cash or credit card), or at any ATM of UniCredit bank network (using your credit card)

To complete the payment (at the latest 24h prior time of departure of your train) you will only need the PNR code that is associated with your on-line reservation! At the moment this seems to be the easiest way to go!

A technology that would improve this system would be 2D barcodes that would be read by portable barcode-readers. After purchasing your ticket on-line you would receive the 2D bar-code as image on your cell phone. It would be enough to hand the cell phone to the employee on the train and have your payment verified. Check NeoMedia Technologies company (http://www.neom.com) as they are working on developing this technology that could be applyed to anything! From tickets for concerts, to bus tickets, to shopping and gift certificates... and anything else you can think of! In case you loose your cell phone it would be enough to call the operator to have all of your purchases and money blocked from being spent! The system would transfer your purchases and credit to another SIM card! No more woollett or cash! No more risk of carrying cash as you would be able organize your e-Woollett from a PC or from your smart phone!

Just some speculation around the value of NEOM & possibility of selling the company! I hope it's not sold for a period of months to allow the company to increase it's revenues.

Enjoy!

Posted by: Be Confident

It seems I have lost track of one of my own perspectives as a result of the patent win which apparently has distracted me. If I have not mentioned the following on this board I do know I have mentioned it privately:

I have recently made mention that due to the PTO win and the flurry of activity surrounding codes Neom should now be able to move forward in selling the company. However, there is one item I am guilty of losing sight of. While Neom should certainly have a strong enough case at this juncture to warrant a sale, it still has not officially been "named" as the "clearinghouse."

Provided I am correct in believing Neom is slated to become such clearinghouse, the "official" award of that title could be worth an extra dollar or two in the till. I do not think that award will be issued prior to Q3 or Q4. Therefore, Iain may in fact be assembling the player(s) for the transaction now, however, it may not be able to be consummated until the announcement.

This is actually good news since it means that Iain will continue to build the revenue model which will only help substantiate the best value for the transaction.

All this is JMO.

Best,
Be Confident

From what I understand, Neustar will be the clearing house.

NeoMedia will get a nice slice of the revenue based on their patents.

Neustar Announces Global Bar Code Interoperability
03/31 11:00 CDT
3GVision, Mobile Discovery,MobileTag and NeoMedia Join Pilot Program
STERLING, Va., March 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NeuStar (NYSE: NSR) today
unveiled the first successful demonstration and implementation of technology
that enables cell phones to scan and process two-dimensional bar codes -
regardless of the mobile service provider, type of bar code symbology, or
scanning technology used.
(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20080310/NEUSTARLOGO )
NeuStar's pilot program is based on open standards and demonstrates
interoperability among the world's most successful bar code campaign managers,
symbologies, and code reader technologies through NeuStar's trusted third party
central clearinghouse and registry services. Announced at CTIA, the program
currently involves industry-leading companies 3GVision, Mobile Discovery,
Mobile Tag, and NeoMedia.
"Each of our current partners brings unique values and capabilities to the
market," according to Diane Strahan, vice president of Mobile Services at
NeuStar. "Consumers can simply click, send, and enjoy immediate access to cool
content. This program is a critical step toward linking various bar code
readers and players in the marketplace, and toward creating a seamless, open,
and scalable solution for brands, consumers, and mobile operators."
Unlike the linear (striped) EAN/UPC bar codes typically used for inventory
and point-of-sale transactions, the more advanced two-dimensional (2D) codes
provide mobile consumers with a "shortcut" to access rich content and helpful
information, as well as to engage in m-commerce. For mobile consumers, bar
codes offer the ability to rapidly discover, interact, and transact with brands
without typing out a web address or searching for a website.
NeuStar anticipates that two-dimensional bar codes will be of particular
relevance to advertisers and brands, which can immediately leverage their
traditional packaging and print - as well as interactive media buys - to reach
consumers on the move. More than simply providing mobile consumers with a link
to an Internet address, indirect 2D bar code systems can use location,
language, or other information shared by the consumer, allowing advertisers to
deliver dynamic, individually tailored content. Bar codes offer direct response
accountability through measurable ROI, and enable advertisers to adjust their
content based on real-time tracking of each campaign's performance.
"Whether the call to action is a short code or a bar code, NeuStar is
enabling consumers to opt in to and connect directly with their desired mobile
content and interactive experiences," continued Strahan. "The current industry
partners in this program are highly successful players in mobile marketing and
bar code scanning solutions, as well as intellectual property leaders. These
partners have the widest deployment of bar code solutions and penetration in
Japan, France, Australia, and other countries. The strength of the open
interoperable service we are demonstrating is that it provides the underlying
infrastructure needed for brands to confidently deliver a consistent,
high-quality customer experience across mobile operators for maximum reach and
return."

Nokia Introduces Nokia Point & Find, a new way to Connect With Information and Services on the go
New Platform Enables Businesses to Engage With Consumers in Real Time With Relevant Content
Tuesday March 31, 2009, 10:00 pm EDT

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Nokia-Introduces-Nokia-Point-prnews-14808335.html

SAN FRANCISCO, April 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Nokia (NYSE: NOK - News) introduces an innovative service concept that enables people on the move to access relevant information and services on the internet, simply by pointing their mobile phone camera at real-life objects. A beta version of Nokia Point & Find, focusing on movies, is now available in the UK and US. Capabilities will later expand into other services and countries.

"With Nokia Point & Find, businesses are able to target engaging experiences and calls-to-action to consumers. We believe that this first Nokia Point & Find-based service for movies will add something special to the cinema experience. Simply by pointing their camera phone at a poster for a new movie, people can watch the trailer, read reviews, and find the closest cinema where it is playing," said Philipp Schloter, General Manager, Nokia Point & Find.

Nokia Point & Find is an open service platform on which other companies can build innovative customized experiences to drive better engagement with potential customers. Nokia is inviting businesses, content providers and agencies to discuss how the Nokia Point & Find service could help them with specific applications, campaigns or promotional activities. Unique experiences can be created through the self-service Nokia Point & Find Management Portal, or by working with the Nokia Point & Find professional service team.

Businesses have already recognized the potential for Nokia Point & Find in their campaigns.

Casey Harwood, Senior Vice President, Digital Media at Turner Europe said: "Nokia Point & Find is an innovative new service which will enable users to point their camera phone at various Cartoon Network related objects and receive relevant show or product information direct to their handset. In an on-demand world, this technology represents an exciting development for both content providers and consumers."

"BODY WORLDS appeals to adventurous and curious people of all ages. We see Nokia Point & Find as an intriguing new way for people to find out about BODY WORLDS & The Mirror of Time at the O2. By integrating this technology with our outdoor advertising in London we have created not just another special promotion, but also a chance to experiment with something quite innovative," said Nicky Hewgill, Marketing Manager, BODY WORLDS London.

"The Nokia Point & Find service marries the digital world with the physical world in a way that actually has meaning for brands and consumers. Not only does it allow consumers to engage with brands in an innovative way but provides brands 'point and purchase' opportunities with an on-the-go audience," said Julian Pate, Client Partner, AKQA.

Nokia Point & Find uses advanced real time image processing and recognition technologies to link the user to digital content and services. It also recognizes bar codes, integrates GPS positioning technology, and supports category-specific text-entry search. When the phone is pointed at an object, Nokia Point & Find uses a variety of the phone's capabilities including the camera, internet connectivity, and GPS positioning to evaluate the object. Then, by rapidly searching through a database of virtually tagged items, the system identifies the object and returns a set of links to associated content and services.

Companies interested in using Nokia Point & Find for their own campaigns can visit http://pointandfind.nokia.com to request further information. Nokia Point & Find's beta release is available for download into select mobile devices in the UK and US at http://pointandfind.nokia.com as well.
