World Hockey Association Completes 1st Round of Playoffs

VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/12/07 -- World Hockey Association (PINKSHEETS: WHKA) is pleased to announce that is has just completed its 1st round of playoffs. The Round Robin playoff system started on Thursday last week and continued until this past Sunday afternoon. It will continue again next Thursday thru to Sunday until we have the two final teams in point standings playing against each other for the WHA CHAMPIONSHIP CUP.
The playoff format gives all teams within the WHA a chance to play for the WHA CUP, and in turn represent the WHA in Ontario in its National Championship game against the winner of the GMHL League based in Ontario.
The winners of the WHA & the GMHL will play for the NATIONAL ALLIANCE CUP, and after that the WHA Champion Team will travel to Japan to play a series of seven Games in four cities.
The WHA will announce after the season which cities will be awarded Expansion Franchises for the 2007-2008 Season.

WHKA has had a history of bouncing hard and it looks like the time is near, good news in the release they plan on adding more cities at the end of these playoffs.

The way it traded towards the end of the day was a good sign it may recover some of these losses, Can't wait to find out which cities they are going to next.

That is not too bad they can only hit these bids for so long then I expect she will be trading back where she belongs, these prices are super cheap compared top where this has historically traded, and with a Big name Like Bobby Hull this league should be heading in the right direction.
