Based on the recent news, this will move eventually. But also keep in mind that utilities are usually pretty conservative, and slow in implementing changes. Look at the wire grids all over the country and problems in maintaining them and the Utes know subterranean distribution lines would be less likely to suffer interruption but haven't switched except in highly urban congested areas. New tech is a high initial investment for Power comapnies and they will move slowly and deliberately. So I would expect this to be a long term hold, with a steady growth rather than a sudden gapper. JMO but am stocking up on more shares with an eye on long term profits

Would it be illegal for someone to dig around in CNES trash bins? Take, oh, ME for example. FWIW, I used to be good at puzzles on the chance they shred important docs. Hopefully this post doesn't expose my stupidity 'cause I'm kind of serious.

jon,

Start digging! Just P.M. me first....then I let the others know..hahahahaha!

No need. They have a product that has been approved by the FCC. As Swab Jock said "But also keep in mind that utilities are usually pretty conservative, and slow in implementing changes."

TIME WILL TELL.

Too late AHD, I threw on some homeless clothes to go "dumpster diving" and got busted by the cops. They forced me to take a bite of a 7 day old egg sandwich to prove it.... BLARGH!!!

I disagree with this taking a looooooong time for utility companies to implement. The cost benefit of waiting to contracting with CNES to install their system across their grids is astronomical. Do you really think seeing savings of hundreds of millions (in the case of SCE) or even more/year is incentive to make them wait? I would say it's just the opposite...

If I lived in Cali, i would be sitting in my car with an antenne listening to the different offices at CNES.

I have already had my bad share of Dumpster Diving. If its on Private property, its not fair game, but if its on public land, city land, then its open season.

gator,

In daytrading a day is too long. CNES is a long term buy compaired to the daytrading mentality.
WHATEVERRRR it is long short or in the middle, I in for the long term.

SCE plans to issue the following procurements:

SCE's AMI Program - RFI - Part B (2nd Quarter, 2006)
SCE' RFP Business Systems Integration Planning for Phase 2
(2nd Quarter, 2006)
SCE's AMI Program - RFP (1st Quarter, 2007)

It would be completely legal. Once something hits the trash, it's public property/public domain.

This must have been a joke...but if not...

Wonder what is the learning curve for the investors relationship with CNES and the investors behavior. The GE information in the MR and PR was most likely necessary because of a over zealous shareholder. Someone trying to manipulate the market being impatient and greedy...

CNES has repeatedly asked folks not to call potential partners, vendors...but investors continue to do it even though they understand it may risk future business...What's with that?

Wonder how diving in the trash dumpsters would go over? Or hanging in the parking lot in a trench coat spying on the company like the damn Pink Panther...Original...Peter Sellers and not Steve Martin...

Pizzin on my own leg is not a fun practice but sometimes I wonder if ...even though the intentions are good...folks don't pizzz on their own investment...

Learning how to trade in Pennyland may be much easier and certainly healthier than nose diving into someone elses sheet...

It is NOT legal to jump into a dumpster if it is on private property. If the garbage is at a curb, then it is ok.

This law came into effect in the 90's when too many "kids" were jumping into the dumpsters looking for admin passwords and logins.

Do you really think that ConectiSys would throw information concerning future major developments within the company in the company dumpster?

That would be a PR nightmare for this company, and I am sure they, along with other co's, take extraordinary precautions for this.

I mean, imagine if you are watching the 6 o'clock news and the headline is:

"Dumpster-diving CNES investors find trash that indicates future significant developments for ConectiSys."

I did not sleep much either last night.
Can't get the GE idea out of my head.
I know we've beat this thing to death but why does CNES so strenuously deny a rumor? They didn't start the rumor so how are they covering their arse? And why would a company as small as CNES be so quick to dampen a rumor that would shoot the pps up? Think about it: who gains by a low pps?
Somebody with alot of stroke has told CNES to kill this rumor so that they can accumulate shares at a cheap price before big news hits.
And I honestly think their is a big company, not necessarily GE but could be, in merger/buyout negotions with CNES and big shots at this company are picking up cheap shares before the lid blows off or they want to keep the pps down so they don't have to pay as much to buy CNES out.

U.S. Supreme Court has ruled on several occasions that once something is disposed in a trash bin any expectation of privacy is gone. Any Exec with any sense knows this, and would be very careful about disposing of something where maintaining privacy is an issue.

I think mostly CNES is covering their ass because releasing that kind of info can be illegal. Plus it could jeoprodize negotiations with what ever company their talking to.

Might I suggest a nice bottle of wine before bed. It will help you sleep and you'll be able to dream about CNES stock cracking the $10 barrier with no reverse split.

I drank most of a bottle of Cabernet from South Africa last night and still couldn't sleep. Say what you will...they do produce some great wines in the Stellenbosch region. :-)

CNES has promised NOT to r/s BTW.

Hmmm I haven't had any S. African wine I'll have to try one. If the wine doesn't work you might have to up the ante, maybe tequila is what you need;)

I'm still new but I thought if CNES is as succesful as we all want it to be they would try to get list on a higher exchange. From what I have seen that generally means a reverse split for a company with as many shares as CNES has out. Please enlighten me if this train of thought is incorrect. I'm not say they would be doing a r/s simply to be able to release more shares and screw us just to move up in the world.
