ATWEC Unveils KiddieAlert(TM) and KiddieCross Guard(TM) Systems for 2007
MEMPHIS, TN, May 11, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- ATWEC Technologies, Inc. (OTC: ATWT) unveiled two new exciting products today at the National Headstart Conference. Vice President of Sales/Marketing, Mr. C. Deagan informed us that these systems are getting raved reviews. "The interest levels for these products are phenomenal. People are already positioning themselves to begin placing orders," said Mr. Deagan. The KiddieAlert(TM) and KiddieCross Guard(TM) are unique in their design and functionality. Each unit carries our verbal voice command concept. KiddieAlert(TM) and KiddieCross Guard(TM) join our already proven KiddieVoice device to form our KiddieSystems product line.
KiddieAlert(TM) goes beyond the school transportation industry and will also be marketed to the general consumer. KiddieAlert(TM) is a voice backup device that warns the pedestrian of a vehicle in reverse. Every 1.6 minutes, another U.S. driver backs into trouble. According to the Department of Transportation, 27% of all accidents occur in reverse, usually involving young children, and costing drivers in excess of 1.3 billion dollars in damages.
KiddieCross Guard(TM) works in conjunction with all cross safety arms to help guard against a child from being run over by his/her own bus. By adding verbal commands, we can now control our children's actions while crossing in front of the bus. ATWEC Technologies (PINKSHEETS: ATWT) announced today the successful completion of Kiddie Systems installation training for Richlonn's Tire & Service Centers.
Richlonn's technicians in southeast Wisconsin installed Kiddie Systems products on the vehicles of West Bend Insurance customers, who are offered discounted policies for the installation. The Dec. 15, 2006 training session was a necessary prerequisite to the sale and installation of ATWEC products by Richlonn's franchises. Five Milwaukee franchise locations, owned by Dick & Brett Matschke, are the first to offer ATWEC's child-protective products.
West Bend customers throughout the seven Midwest states will be encouraged to have Kiddie Systems products installed at similar franchise locations by properly trained technicians. Customer traffic for additional car service needs is expected to increase as well. The ATWEC-West Bend partnership therefore provides an incentive to additional franchises to create an alliance with ATWEC.
