4. Will SCE work with other organizations focused on creating intelligent electric infrastructure? Yes. SCE recognizes that as one piece in the mosaic of the utility marketplace, we need to be part of industry efforts to develop the next generation of distribution technologies, including advanced meters.
Such efforts include the GridWise created by DOE, IntelliGrid led by the Electric Power Research Institute and OpenAMI, a task force within the Utility Communications Architecture International Users Group initiated by the California Energy Commission.
SCE must balance the immediate opportunity to enable new pricing, demand response and business enhancements using today’s technology with the forward thinking envisioned by GridWise, Intelligrid and OpenAMI. Based on discussions with meter communications vendors, new versions of their advanced metering systems will include the latest developments in open standards for communications protocols because the marketplace is pursuing interoperability and enhanced functionality. SCE will evaluate these emerging developments and will pursue options that appear to offer benefits to ratepayers that outweigh costs
From the CNES Website:
H-NET™ NETWORKS SPECIFICATION & DESIGN… ConectiSys (C-NES™) products are a low-cost Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) solution for both residential and commercial utility markets. Our H-NET™ Technology is imbedded within an electrical utility meter. The H-NET™ Network has been designed exclusively for the Electrical Utility Industry. H-NET™ core is a unique proprietary architecture that allows for two-way communications between our advanced H-NET™ MeterSystem and the C-NES™ NETWORK OPERATION CENTER (NOC). The wireless H-Net™ Network architecture employs peer-to-peer communications for up to 7500 H-NET™ MeterSystem per-dedicated H-NET™ BaseStation. The NOC displays real-time consumption records 4 times an hour, 24 hours a day, via the Internet at a fraction of traditional meter reading costs; all within a wireless, towerless network.

If eveyone had CNES, then you would not have to worry about "open standards for communications protocols" and "interoperability". They would all be on the same page, and we would be rich.

Stock Jockey... So do you think it's getting close to the time to strap in for a ride???? We've been waiting in line for a long time...
The good thing here is if a PR is coming soon with some sort of good news...then...everyone is aware that CNES does not put out fluff PR's...Only significant information...CNES PR's get attention...Be nice to get new blood back in if she has a run in her..

Bearclaw... One thing I can say without any doubt about CNES... They DO NOT PR!!!! Period. I think they only had 2-4 pr's in all of 2005. No fluff with this stock. I can't believe with all this accumulation going on that there isn't something Big in the wings. Could these guys finally have a contract and/or partner to announce???

quote:Originally posted by iwearpro: After talks with the ceo last month I bet they are having a hay day with this stock at these prices. He flat out told me that they were selling off CD'S to keep the business going. They are dilutting as fast as people are buying. If you are buying in at anything over .0003 and you plan to hold it you will lose what you have...trust me. Untill well into the first contract and the funds are in the bank, they will sell off CD'S and dilute it back down so they can survive. After this weeks buying is done it will settle back down to the .0002-.0004 range but I would say no higher. I have watched this stock for so long and have talked with the ceo a couple of times and both times he told me the same thing.
Good luck to all but write it off as a play and dont be affraid to take what profits you have.
