Coalition Reports Houston Airport Shut Down As a Woman Looks For a Bathroom NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 28, 2006--The Coalition for Luggage Security, said according to several news reports, a woman slipped through a security checkpoint at Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport - causing a security scare. Authorities later learned the woman apparently was trying to find a bathroom. Officials closed the terminal, and then re-screened all the passengers. Authorities recognized the woman in the airport as the re-screening began about 15 minutes later and detained her for questioning. A Transportation Security Administration spokesperson says the woman was a connecting passenger who left the secure area to find a restroom, turned around and went back up the exit lane. Drats! I flipped this one too many times over the past week and got marked by etrade as a pattern day trader. And no ... I don't have $25,000 to settle the margin. I was back in at .04 yesterday and was going to sell at the gap up this morning when I saw the alert on my account. The stock price tanked while I was on the phone with the broker trying to work things out. Oh well, looks like I'm holding the bag untill the price goes back up. Instead of waiting the 90 days while my margin account is restricted I was thinking about emptying my etrade account and going with a different broker.
Any suggestions?

STINKY - I have etrade as well. I really hate the restriction notice about selling off stocks bought with unsettled funds. I havent been restricted before, but it's kind of stupid. Etrade is good for people with lots of money in there. its not very friendly to the little guys with under 10K invested. Everybody has recommended Scottrade and Choicetrade to me.
And to all you guys and gals who are going back and forth:

need clarification: supposedly, your "penalty" should be trading cash only...you're saying they won't let you trade at all for 90 days?
Most of my other stocks are up 50% to 100 % today.
