Hey I think this marketing thing just might pan out after all. Suz was right, those shopping networks really do well.

And besides, I would think that Frank doesn’t know China like Fan does. Fan probably has financial and business resources out the yang. haha..yang..get it? Anyways, this guy is bound to know his business better than Frank. He knows the chinese market unlike Frank. And I’m sure he knows the state of Q’s competitors, if any. And obviously he knows the opportunities and risks Q faces. Fan’s knowledge can be a powerful competitive weapon for Q if used right.

reply from Mr. Fan. Should get news this week IMO... From Lloyd Fan <fan*qtnasia.com> Date Wed, 01 Mar 2006 11:02:18 -0800 (PST) To johnberg*hawaii.edu Subject QTN
Dear John,
I hear and understand you. Please allow me few more days to address all the share holders. We are putting in place new plans to grow the company and at the same time, become transparent. That is all I can say at this point and do thank you for the letter.

I just personally think having Fan aboard will help us tremendously, both here and abroad.

I couldn't read the date by enlarging the photo, but the web site says that the date of the magazine is March 5th, 2006. http://www.rosie.com/past-headers/

Well Sam the story on that cover is about launching GLBT cruises with "r cruises", and if I'm not mistaken, they did that a couple of years back. But I may be wrong.

"...management also believes that quality programming about the gay and lesbian experience, designed to entertain, educate and inform, will attract many other segments of the viewing public."
Because of our personal beliefs and perceptions, I believe film and television really does form the world. For example, because of regular daytime television shows like "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", “Oprah” (having many “coming out” stories), and films like the award winning "Brokeback Mountain" that not only entertain, but educate as well, people, especially the younger generation, today are much more accepting of the GLBT community and their lifestyles. And why? ...because we are becoming more accepting of differences in other people, and less people of indifferences.
If Q can succeed in effectively attracting other segments of the viewing public as mentioned in their statement, well then the rest should be a piece of cake. A piece of cheesecake at that.

China is a more controled and tuffer area to crack with regards to business especially with references to a GBLT market.. Asian market is more fluid in the Hong Kong/Vietnam/Indonesia/ ect areas.. an asian reference connection arose from the Mipcom Oct of 2005..>
Even more significant, however, was the interest by European and Asian cable and satellite companies in carrying the entire QTN channel as part of their respective lineups, prompting a new round of talks now underway.
..> the question is.. seeing the creation date of Dec of 2005 by Fan for the qtnasia.com creation and the possible Mipcom connection the same as Fan.. this reflects that Fan n Frank have been in contact for quite some time.. EVEN during the deflation of the QBID PPS.. it is my opinion that at the very least Frank did not sit and watch his personal funds/millions invested into Q dwindle to worthless paper.. if he say it coming he/they did something along the way.. this could reflect why we were questioning who in their right mind would even purchase all those billions crossing the ticket each day at .0001.. you have to admit.. it sure seems fishy.. at the very least Q should be questioned on the timing of Fan's participation while we all were left in the dark with 90 +% losses mounting.. Hey Frank what's up with dat..?

question is what kind of market is there going to be in asia for an english speaking GLBT channel.
i mean how many in these countries are of english speaking and Gay or gay friendly.
is this going to do anything for us?
I hope so but the point is there are so many shares out now that we havent got a snowball chance in hell of seeing much more then a penny now.
that email from fan states they are going to make this transparent, but we have heard that before as well.
I hope this is all good for us, but untill that happens i remain in a state of wonderment. I cannot make the connection of how asia is going to be good for us.
i think we need to get more concentrated on the north american market and worry about getting on Dishnetwork or Directv.
but for now if Fan is pumping operational money into Q then i guess we need to accept this direction and hope that it works out.
they have a plan, i hope it is a good plan.
a good plan is a plan that allows for change.
so hopefully this is what is going to work.

The Korean market is probably good for this.
The Chinese government will not allow a gay network.
Japan is probably it's own subset, but that'd be another lucrative market.
Ideally, they'd keep QTN as is (making improvements to it, though) and use the production facilities they have to make a second shopping channel that appeals to a much broader audience.
