Mellon ->MLON ->PayChest: From what I've read, both MLON & WSSE have dicey histories, but I have found very little on the new CEO, Alejandro Cerda Uranga. In any event, looking away from Mario and focusing on PayChest, the product seems to have merit. I'm curious to know the method of how MLON will convert themselves(name) and their oustanding stocks to PayChest since they are marketing an IPO at www.paychest.com. If PayChest takes off, I suspect that PayPal, Google or the like might snap them up. They need to avoid the numerous patent lawsuits that eBay/PayPal have faced. Hopefully they know of all the patents and have purchased the appropriate licensing (such as AT&T).

PayChest.com has finalized the installation of its Internet Payment System (IPS) platform and will soon interface with banking partners to trial the system with a small number of experimental users.
A spokesperson for the company said that he was excited that PayChest will soon be able to offer an alternative to industry heavyweight PayPal.
“Our advanced technology and persistence will give PayPal a run for their money”, he said.
The mission statement of PayChest is to assist the millions of people around the world that cannot use PayPal because they live in a country not serviced by PayPal.
The company is encouraged with the initial interest shown by the public and anticipates the final rollout of the service in 2006.
With a steady signup of interest at the PayChest website, the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of shares in the company should attract immense interest by sophisticated investors.
To compare, the year 2002 saw competitor Paypal have one of that years best initial public offerings.
Paypal stock rose 55 percent on its first day of trading in February and was still well ahead of its $13 opening price.
Online auction giant eBay Inc bought Internet payment provider PayPal Inc. in a $1.3 billion stock deal in 2002.
After beginning with just 24 experimental users in October 1999, PayPal boasted more than 15.4 million accounts after its IPO and said it had transferred about $1.6 billion in just one financial quarter in 2002.
The third quarter of 2005 proved to be a big one for Paypal as it saw accounts jump to 87 million, a 53% increase in one year.
In Q3 2005, PayPal reached $6.7 billion in payments, a 44% increase from the same quarter the previous year. Consumers worldwide therefore spent around $842 per second during the quarter.
