Non-Residue, Tamper-Evident, Self-Voiding Seals Introduced by DDSI's CGM Applied Security Technologies

NO-REZ Seals Ideally Suited for Use on Trailer Doors

SEA GIRT, N.J., Feb. 1, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- With a range of applications across industries which require tamper-detection solutions without leaving residue on the items it protects -- from trailer doors, pharmaceutical packaging and aircraft to impounded vehicles -- hi-tech NO-REZ adhesive seals are self-voiding and available in blue, red and an array of other colors, even when purchased in small lots.

Introduced by CGM Applied Security Technologies, Inc., a unit of Digital Descriptor Systems, Inc., these units are a true breakthrough in safeguarding valuable items inexpensively.

``For items potentially subject to tampering that require protection without damage, NO-REZ is the solution,'' says CGM Applied Security Technologies President Erik Hoffer. ``Users can safeguard their valuable items inexpensively without worrying about them becoming stained by residue upon removal. And for the many shippers who wish to employ a system of color-coding, there's an excellent selection of color options.''

Particularly when used in conjunction with a properly sealed shipping container, NO-REZ seals cannot be tampered with without leaving behind indisputable evidence; specifically, the message ``VOID OPEN VOID'' appears across the seal itself. Yet, the seal leaves behind absolutely no residue, thus eliminating the need for clean-up.

The evidence provided by NO-REZ can be invaluable in informing inspectors and owners that a break-in or breach has occurred. The seals can also play a vital role in greatly reducing the likelihood of dangerous devices or substances being stowed away in shipping containers without being detected by authorities.

Printable and easily adaptable to die cutting, NO-REZ seals can be used with most conventional label dispensing devices. In addition, they can be used in conjunction with other sealing products as an exterior laminate to provide both visual and functional protection.

About five percent of overseas cargo currently transported into the United States is protected by some type of tamper-evident product, and use of such tapes and seals is a mainstay of shippers dealing with electronics, clothing and pharmaceuticals.

Other NO-REZ applications include single-use decals (like parking validation labels and illegally parked stickers) and seals for data ports, envelopes and documents.
