That will happen. I'm also looking forward to hearing more about the new carrier in the Pacific northwest that was mentioned in a PR on Jan. 18th. That also sounds huge.

Guys you need to watch out for "Highwaychild" this person has no integrity. He lifted one on my post on this thread and took it to the CMKX thread. Then he removed QBID and replaced it with CMKX. In addition he left my signature line intact.

No Integrity At All in my books.

People want to hear about the 123 stations that will play Q on the move. What about this one.

Q Television Network to Air in the Pacific Northwest; Q Television's Signal to Be Available to over One Million Customers
via COMTEX

January 18, 2005

PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Jan 18, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Q Television Network, (Pink Sheets: QBID) announced today that it has reached an agreement with a Washington State television station to offer Q Television Network to its subscribers.

"After extensive negotiations, we have finally come to an agreement to make Q Television available from Oregon to the Canadian border," said Frank Olsen, President and CEO of Q Television Network. "The West Coast market is an important step for us. It is the third highest market of the Gay and Lesbian population in the U.S. With this new carrier, our television signal will be made available to over one million customers."

In the second quarter of 2005, Q Television will comply with requirements of all national carriers and make its signal available in High Definition (HDTV). "With the field narrowing for carriers to choose gay and lesbian networks, we have jumped to the top of many lists and will provide all of our carriers with the best possible network," said Olsen.

About Q Television Network: This television network was organized to create and develop a network devoted to providing television programming for the gay and lesbian community. While the company expects much of its subscriber base to be comprised of members of the gay and lesbian population, management also believes that quality programming about the gay and lesbian experience, designed to entertain, educate and inform, will attract many other segments of the viewing public. The company's programming will be available on a subscription basis to those desiring its programming. The network will broadcast 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Providing distribution via satellite ensures availability of the network across the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. For further information on programming and subscriptions, please visit www.qtelevision.com.

This Pacific Nor pr doesn't mention a contract with the television station, but I don't know if it has to or not.

I don't see a need to wait. I don't think Frank caring about us is an issue with him. I think the issue of shareholders is only a piece of all that it takes to get QBID up and running.

I'm not sure what his motivation might be, probably getting it done gives him the perks he wants or needs. Only he knows what getting it done means. Shareholders may move up on his list after he get's QBID to where he wants it...I don't think he would loose a minutes sleep on us...nor...would I expect him to. Why would he? I'm not going to loose any sleep over him either...Just get it done Frank...

not sure if it was ever noted:

time is ticking away, if qtv doesnt get it done soon, viacom will. at this point im hoping viacom buys qtv out. viacom's ceo stated he thought a tv network targeting this market would be worth 1 billion dollars. so, buying qtv for millions would end up being very profitable for them. i just dont think frank is going to get this thing to air nationwide before logo at the pace hes going right now.

I agree...things take time...I'm not sure there is any need to rush this day to day...Better to get it right the first time and keep putting the pieces in place.

Hey guys and gals
We're all concerned about QBID management's lack of communication with shareholders, but let's not lynch them yet. If you really think they are ignoring us, that they don't care about us, that they aren't doing their jobs, then please sell your shares and find a company that communicates better. However, if you think they may be doing the "most important" parts of their jobs too well to spend time communicating with us, then be patient and wait for some news ("good things come to those who wait" and all that). Maybe I am naive and too trusting, or maybe I am just stupid (no comments, please), but I still have faith in QBID.

I worked in a corporate communications job for most of my life and had to "beat up" the corporate staff every day to get them to communicate with both employees and shareholders. Why? Because they were always too busy running the business to "talk about it." I hope this is Frank's current situation. And until I am proven wrong, I will continue to believe Frank and staff are working hard to create "our" network.

By the way, the company I worked for pissed off shareholders repeatedly by not communicating enough . . . until they reported their financial successes each quarter. Then, missed deadlines didn't seem to matter much.

DISCLAIMER: I think QBID will make me rich, but please do your own DD and make your own decisions.

A sad commentary...

12/20/2004:

"Q Television Network's Programs Now Available for Syndication; Live Show Will Begin Airing in January 2005"

No follow-up

12/28/2004:

..."Q on the Move" will begin airing on the 150 stations on February 14th, 2005 and will continue for 13 full weeks. Stations and specific air times will be announced in the near future."..."Q Television will announce its expanding coverage areas for its 24/7 signal very soon," said Olsen.

Well, it's well past the "near future"!

01/07/2005:

"Q Television Network (Pink Sheets:QBID), the leading television network for the gay and lesbian community, announced today a new live program: Good Morning Gay America. The fully sponsored show will begin airing in February and will broadcast live from Seattle, Texas and New York."

"Fully sponsored" by whom? Again, no follow-up! Seems to me that the "leading television network for the gay and lesbian community" could at least release who the sponsor(s) is/are!

01/10/2005:

"Q Television Network, (Pink Sheets: QBID) announced today that it is producing a 2-hour uninterrupted tribute to Elizabeth Taylor. The special will air on Q Television Network on February 14, 2005. The network has also arranged to have the special available to those outside of Q Television's viewing area via pay per-view in March 2005."

Again, no follow-up!

01/18/2005:

"Q Television Network to Air in the Pacific Northwest; Q Television's Signal to Be Available to over One Million Customers

PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Jan 18, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Q Television Network, (Pink Sheets: QBID) announced today that it has reached an agreement with a Washington State television station to offer Q Television Network to its subscribers."

No follow-up. And, BTW, wouldn't it have been nice to name the "Washington State television station" in the PR so that interested parties might be able to tune in?

02/15/2005:

"PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Feb 15, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Q Television Network, (Pink Sheets: QBID) announced today that the network is currently holding a 36-hour corporate seminar in Fort Worth, Texas to address Q Television's programming, goals, and management structure....In addition, Q Television Network hopes to announce tomorrow 123 of the 150 stations across the country that will be airing a sampling of Q Television's original programming to show viewers, with Q On the Move being the lead show."

Not 100, not 120, but specifically 123 stations; and BTW, tomorrow was yesterday!!!

AS I SAID...A VERY SAD COMMENTARY!</B>

Why would he name a television station, so that every shareholder could call the station to confirm. That really works to keep a station, they would have told him to keep his crazy shareholders away. We have lost out in the past because of shareholders making phone calls to potential customers.

Personally, I think everyone needs to relax. I work for a top communications/publishing/entertainment company. We are always rolling out something new. Our start up dates are ALWAYS pushed back a week, a month, maybe even 6 months. You cannot just snap your finger and bam, the company is up and running. It takes time and patience. If it were so quick and easy, everyone would be starting their own company. Remember Rome was not built in a day.

2,000 Registered for Gay Games
2005-02-16
Chicago 2006 Paid Registrations Running Ahead of Forecast

FROM A PRESS RELEASE

The 2,000th person to register for Gay Games VII was either a Swedish badminton player, a New York volleyball player, a singer from New Zealand, a South African wrestler, or a member of a Los Angeles softball team that registered as a group. The nature of Chicago’s 24-hour worldwide online registration system means that registrations come in all hours of the day and night, just like the phone calls and e-mails. But, according to Kevin Boyer, Chicago’s Marketing Chair, the 2,000th person signed up at approximately noon ( Chicago time ) , on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005. The 2,000 registrations come from 26 countries on six continents.

“Gay Games registration figures are running well ahead of forecast,” said Gay Games VII Co-Chair Sam Coady. “We ended 2004 with fully paid registrations that were 40% ahead of our year-end forecasts, and approximately 800 registrations ahead of the pace set by Sydney in the months before the 2002 Gay Games. We are confident we will reach or exceed our target of over 12,000 registered athletes and artists.” Coady attributes the successful registration numbers to the network of international sports organizations working in partnership with Chicago 2006 as well as the $3.5 million print, online, and television marketing campaign being conducted in six languages through more than 25 media sponsors.

During the last three days of 2004, noted Boyer, Gay Games registrations were coming in every 90 seconds as athletes and artists worldwide rushed to beat the early registration deadline. Chicago extended the deadline three days to accommodate last-minute signups and to account for different time zones and computer access issues. “We’re extremely proud of our online system,” said Gay Games VII Vice Co-Chair Tracy Baim. “Despite heavy traffic from all over the world, our registration contractor performed admirably with no downtime whatsoever.” The system provides real-time data access, eliminating doubt about registration numbers or payment status that often plague other registration solutions. Backend registration processing for Gay Games VII is being provided by Chicago-based Afficient Corporation, linked from the Gay Games VII website at www.gaygameschicago.org .

Individual registration has remained strong since the New Year began and group registrations—called Pre-Pay—have accelerated. Pre-Pay allows groups of 5 or more to pay a lower base fee by purchasing their Gay Games VII registrations as a group. Chicago benefits by getting additional paid registrations in the door more quickly, allowing for better advance planning. The groups benefit by paying less per person. “We’ve had international associations buy as many as 30 registrations at a time,” said James Simmons, Gay Games VII Registration Consultant. “Teams are registering as a group to save costs or to award as scholarships. We’re also glad to see friends working together as a group, planning their trip to Chicago, and signing up for the Gay Games together.” Pre-Pay is available by calling 1-773-907-2006.

“We want to thank our volunteers, partners, sponsors and the athletes and artists who continue to support the Gay Games movement, nearly 25 years after the first Gay Games took place in 1982,” said Suzanne Arnold, Chicago’s other Co-Chair. “Last March Chicago was awarded the honor of hosting the Gay Games. Now, less than a year later, we are ahead of schedule in planning, fundraising, and fully paid participant registration.” “Our planning and financial goals,” added Sue Connolly, Gay Games VII Finance Committee Chair, “were accomplished in partnership with the international Federation of Gay Games and allied sports and cultural organizations. With volunteers and supporters worldwide, and start-up staff and consultants that number only 5, our low per-registrant cost has left us with significant cash reserves as we entered 2005.” Dennis Sneyers, Founder of Chicago’s Gay Games organization said, “As the host of the 7th Gay Games, we are honored at the trust placed in us by the world’s LGBT sports and culture community. We can now say with confidence that our legacy will be a vibrant, international, focused, more financially secure Gay Games than ever before.”

For the first time, the Gay Games will receive widespread TV coverage on the Q Television Network. Early sponsors include PlanetOut/Gay.com; Q Television Network; Sydney New Mardi Gras; Mate, Genre, and Girlfriends Magazines; Windy City Media Group and more than 40 business sponsors.

Now that is sweet coming from other souces, not a Frank source. I think that this indicates that while Frank is being quite he is working to get things done [Big Grin] He has bigger fish to fry.

Please don't think I am disagreeing with you. You have pointed out some very legitimate concerns and have asked some very solid questions. I certainly share your concerns and wish I had the answers to your questions.

But I only care about the bottomline (hence my screen name). As long as Frank and staff are making progress toward their goals, I will stick by them. And I see progress being made. Not always the progress I want to see, but it "appears" they are moving in the right direction, although too slowly sometimes.

Now for the real bottomline: What can I do about the present situation? I only see 3 choices.
1) I can continue to hold my shares (maybe even buy more on dips) and wait patiently.
2) I can contact Frank and tell him to get his act together because I am tired of waiting.
3) I can sell my shares and move on, thereby eliminating all my concerns and questions.

I don't think contacting Frank will do much good. He probably has enough people yelling at him. Don't think my voice will matter much.

I won't sell my shares (yet) because I still believe QBID will succeed, and I don't want to miss the ride.

So that only leaves waiting patiently. Not much fun, but I really don't know what else to do. If anyone has other suggestions, please let me know.

DISCLAIMER: Don't mean to sound like a pumper, but I do believe in the company and will continue to support it until I am proven wrong. Obviously I hope I am right, but if not, I promise to admit my mistakes. Still debating if harikari will be necessary.
