So, what does all of this mean in English? A relatively small amount of option due to expire this month and more due to expire the end of the year? I assume the ones due to expire end of Jan. 2005 have already been exercised.

Relatively small??? Total about 50M if you add them all at .0002/.0005 PPS...if you ask me what it means in English...may I ask if you read filings or you just don't care?
If they were exercised, well, where's the info?
Anyway. What happened to FatherOfTwo? You started posting just when he stopped? Coincidence?
Don't worry, I wont bother you with my info anymore...since I have a feeling I am. I made my point. Been doing my DD for a year on this one, called CEO couple times, was a shareholder for at least 3 in/out.
Yes they have potential...but I don't think they care about shareholders at all.
GL to you.

No, I am just a father of 1 Not quite sure what got you all worked up?? Your the one sending out private messages to everyone who has posted under this thread, what is your motivation may I ask? I have a small position in this company becasue I think they have a good product and good potential. And to answer your questions, no, I don't read filings, not yet. I am new to trading, I am learning every day and to be honest, I only understand about 10% of the info on that url you posted. I have no idea of the options have been exercised, all I know that if my options were to expire in less than 1 month, I wouldn't wait until the last minute to exercise them.
And, when I asked you to tell me in english what it meant, I am serious, I really don't understand the ramifications of having so many options. I figure most companies offer options and don't understand why this is any different, and obviously this info has been avaialable for some time, it is old, correct?
Anyway, I appreciate it if you are honestly just trying to help a fellow investor. I really am new. I don't know what your motivations are.

I only sended the message to you to get your opininon since your where posting on it. Sorry if I misunderstood your question, I thought you were nagging me.
As for option, knowing that the CEO and many more insiders are gonna get zillions of shares this months for less then .0005 PPS doesnt help getting the PPS up. After they have finished selling there shares...and if they finally go real time transaction, then we might see something. Until then, the only thing I can see is the CEO keeping everyone in the dark for some reason...and it's not for the good of shareholders IMO.

I appologize for mistaking your actions in the first place. Thank you for your information. So these insiders will get these shares and presumally turn around and sell these shares at what they can get for them rather than holding. And I assume that this is partially why the price has been drooping as of late even with the good news. People exercising these options before they expire. Does it mean anything that the exercise price is so much less for this year as last year? But, there are less options this year than last. Is there any way to tell how many of the options that expire the end of this month have been exercised?

Still trying to find the filing but they can do it late and the SEC almost never say anything about it...some insiders transaction are even filed 5 years after they are done and people are fine $ only very little for it...
If I were to have 10M shares at .0005 and have the occasion to sell them 10x the price...the same day...well....
The only thing I'm sure is, all insiders will use their option...such a bargain.

Malloy: I did a spreadsheet to determine the value of these options and my calcs do not agree with yours. I would be happy to send you the spreadsheet if you give me your e-mail. I want to know if I screwed up. Anyway, this is what I came up with: $425,250 = Value of options ending 1/24/05 $513,600 = Value of options ending 12/31/06

It is nice to see more people posting on MSITF. This is one of my favorite Companies as they have great potential with a fabulous product line.
I haven't posted in a while, but I am still alive. I have just moved and haven't been able to post!
TTBad... I would love to see 0.78, but think something in the .1 - .2 range is more feasible once the real time quotes are provided.
Of course, if the FDA were granted, all bets are off!

And as they state in this PR, "With the increase in standing water as a result of the disaster in that region there will be a significant increase in the mosquito populations and as such an increase in Dengue Fever." the demand for their test kits will keep going up and up, market expanding, this is by far my pick for the stock with the most potential for 2005.
I still do not understand why Malloy thinks that by offering some stock options to their employees (which based on my cals are no where near the value he had) proves that they don't care about their shareholders.

Please explain the relevance of FDA approval. thanks in advance: Also, from what I understand, real-time quotes are not available for foreign stocks (ending if F). I called pinksheets and asked.

This is great news..... the distribution chain is already in place.... immediate sales/revenue could be generated with this!
Medical Services Adds Additional Test Kits To Its Inventory Tuesday January 11, 6:01 am ET
EDMONTON, Alberta, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that it has completed testing and development of a Syphilis rapid test kit. The Company through its R&D facility in the United States developed and tested the Syphilis test kit and has begun to manufacture and ship the test kits to distributors. The development of this test kit came as a result of requests from both distributors and regulatory agencies asking that the Company use its technology to bring a syphilis test kit to market. The techniques developed during the progression of our other VScan test kits were instrumental in the rapid development of the Syphilis test kit. The Company has already begun shipping the Syphilis test kit for use in several countries.
ADVERTISEMENT click here Over the last 10 years HIV and syphilis are increasingly appearing in tandem. Transmitted by sexual contact and advanced through risky behavior, syphilis causes a breakdown of the skin and mucosal membranes that makes infection with the HIV virus more likely. The World Health Organization says that approximately 12 million new cases of syphilis appear each year. One- third of these cases are in sub-Saharan Africa, one-third are in South and Southeast Asia, and one-fourth are in Latin American and the Caribbean. These areas coincide with the areas where Medical Services has been developing its distribution network and has received regulatory approval of its VScan HIV 1&2 test kits. Elimination of syphilis would have far reaching public health implication because it would remove two devastating consequences of the disease -increased likelihood of HIV transmission and compromised ability to have healthy babies.
Medical Services believes that adding a syphilis test kit to our inventory is a perfect match with the HIV test kit. The program that the Company participates in with regulatory agencies - testing for HIV in pregnant women - will also benefit from this program.
There is a substantial market worldwide for a rapid test kit for syphilis that is cost effective, accurate, requires no refrigeration and is very fast (under 10 minutes). Early detection of syphilis is important in the overall treatment of the syphilis bacterium.
Once the marketing program starts it is anticipated that the Company will sell in excess of 4,000,000 syphilis test kits per year.

This is the first stock I purchased back in Feb 2004. I added to my position a couple times. They ALWAYS have great PR after great PR. I think they went as low as .0025, and as high as .0179 last year. We might get a run, but don't expect to retire from this one.

It looks like they are gearing up for FDA approval...
Medical Services Develops the Next Generation of HIV Test Kit Friday January 14, 6:00 am ET
EDMONTON, Alberta, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that it has developed a rapid test kit that detects the HIV virus within 2 to 11 days of infection. The latest generation of the VScan HIV test kits has the unique ability to detect the IgM class of antibodies. In lab studies it was demonstrated that the VScan IgM specific kit was able to accurately detect the HIV virus in samples that the existing gold standard tested as being negative. There is no other test kit that detects the HIV virus as early as the VScan HIV IgM test kit.
ADVERTISEMENT IgM is the earliest class of antibodies produced by the immune system. This early detection means that treatment and counseling can be started as early as possible, in most cases before the immune system has been compromised. All other rapid test kits do not detect the HIV virus until the IgG antibody becomes detectable. This is usually over 90 days after the individual has been infected by the HIV virus and the immune system has been compromised to a certain extent. With early detect using the HIV IgM test kit and by treating with the appropriate medications, the individual is able to maximize the effectiveness of the immune system and potentially prevent complications such as co-infection with other diseases such as TB, HepB or C or the subsequent development of AIDS. It is these other diseases coupled with the complete breakdown of the immune system that makes AIDS eventually fatal. This early treatment ensures that the individual can lead a productive and full life.
The new test kit will have two portals that will individually identify the IgM antibody and the IgG antibody. Rapid, accurate and early detection of the HIV virus is the cornerstone of worldwide disease prevention and treatment.
