MSITF products include: The VScan rapid test kit is a single use, disposable, accurate, cost effective, easy to use test for the screening of HIV 1&2, Hepatitis B&C, Tuberculosis (TB), dengue Fever, and West Nile.
It has a couple things going for it
1) The volume has been low and steady for the past few months. I take this to mean that there has not been any dilution and they are actually making enough money off sales to sustain their daily ops.
2) The chinese SDA is very close!
3) Nigeria approval was just received!
4) Annual financials are expected to come out in the next couple weeks.
5) Manufacturing is already in place with distributors ready to sell!
6) MM's have been playing games at the close with this one. It trades all day at 0.003 x 0.0033 and then it gets dropped right at the close.
This thing could go to 0.05+ with the chinese announcement and first major sales contract announcement.

Approval in Nigeria means that the kits can also be sold in several countries surrounding Nigeria. The Nigerian approval of the VScan HIV test kit is very important as there are in excess of 100 million people in this area.

Medical Services to Continue Experimental Use of VScan TB Test Kit
Monday September 13, 6:01 am ET
EDMONTON, Alberta, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that the experimental use of its VScan TB test kit has been extended in Chinese hospitals. The hospitals currently using the VScan TB test kit have received regulatory approval to continue to use the VScan TB test kit on an experimental basis while applying for regulatory approval. Additional hospitals will also begin using the TB test kits.
Based on the excellent test results that have been obtained in PRC hospitals using the VScan TB test kit, particularly the fact that the VScan TB test kits do not give false positives, regulatory authorities have given permission for the hospitals to continue using the VScan TB test kit on an experimental basis in PRC hospitals. The data being generated by the hospitals will ultimately be submitted to the SDA to help set testing standards for Tuberculosis (TB) in China. There is no other rapid test kit available that measures only live TB and does not give false positives.
Tuberculosis kills more people each year than all of the other infectious diseases combined. Testing for TB has become mandatory when related to immigration in most countries. Tuberculosis will kill over 8 million people this year. As the test results of the VScan TB test kits become published it is expected that the demand for the kit will be very high and it is reasonable to expect that the company will sell in excess of 4 to 5 million TB test kits per year.
How Cool is that? They are the best that all others will be measured against!

I look forward to the company's annoucement of the approval of the TB test, as well as PRs regarding shipments and revenues.
My only quandry is whether to hold for the long term, or look to do some in/out trading as the stock peaks and pulls back on longer term upward trend.
Anyone have any suggestions how to judge peaks and troughs? Do bollinger bands give guidance? moving averages? I don't want to sell and have the stock run away from me, but I also don't want to ride it down into a big trough if I could play it better.
Help would be appreciated.

When I purchase stock, there are a few criteria that I use:
1) Does the company have a viable product to offer that is in demand? In MSITF case, this is most definitely YES..... this company like Qbid is targeting a particular market that has plenty of room to grow! I try to stay away from companies that are working on just an idea or premise.... they always seem to fail miserably!
2) Is the company finding/filling a niche? Again yes to this.... with the functionality of this test kit using whole blood with no refrigeration, etc required, even a big dumy like myself could use this and figure it out!
I am holding for at least 6-12 more months for .10 or a buyout by a bigger player. This company has set themselves up for success by working on the distribution and marketing while they were waiting for the approvals. They will begin to immediately see sales revenue now that the approvals have arrived.
Another thing that has jumped out to me that no one else has mentioned is that in the India approval PR, it clearly stated that they were approved for sales AND MANUFACTURING! I see this as very important as the China facility could easily be tapped out of prodcution capability very quickly when their product starts to gain acceptance and widespread use in southeast ASIA. India would provide an inexpensive 2nd mfg facility!

The company has delivered on many of the potentials that existed earlier in the year, and appears poised on the brink of delivering significant revenues and profits next. Short term investors seem to be looking to the $.03-.10 range as an initial target range, with long term investors less specific but generally making noise about increasing their personal targets, in large part because they say the company's TB test could have even more potential than the HIV test.
Current price in the $.006s seems like a very attractive entry point considering the degree of performance to date in obtaining approvals and the potential for signficant revenue and profits in the near term - coupled with other products with great potential still in the approval process.
This stock is definitely my pick for most potential over the coming 6-12 months.

EDMONTON, Alberta, Dec 14, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) is pleased to announce that it has participated in a live testing program in the Dominican Republic along with other rapid test kits that are being used in the Caribbean for detection of HIV. All of the tests completed using rapid test kits were confirmed using Western Blot or actual CD4 test results. The VScan rapid test kit was 100% accurate. The other test kit used only had an accuracy of 93% with one false positive.
Most rapid test kits only have the ability to detect the HIV virus at the IgG antigen level. The VScan test kit first picks up the HIV virus at the IgA and IgM levels which show up in the blood stream much earlier than IgG. This makes the VScan rapid test kit much more sensitive and it detects the HIV virus much earlier than other test kits.
The VScan test kits require no refrigeration, no electricity and no medical facilities or trained medical personnel. The Vscan rapid test kit performs better than any other test kit it comes to whole blood. It can be used in any environment and is the best to use for testing in remote areas.
The test results and approvals completed in the Caribbean will be used to apply for an overall approval in the Caribbean by Carec. The Caribbean has a population base of 14,000,000 and a transient population of over 45,000,000 people.

Medical Services to Begin Testing of Its VScan Tuberculosis(TB) Test Kit on a Large Scale in New Year
December 16, 2004 06:01:00 AM ET
EDMONTON, Alberta, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) is pleased to announce that it will begin testing of its VScan Tuberculosis (TB) rapid test kit on a large scale outside China. The testing is scheduled to start by the middle of January, 2005. The Company is very confident that the results obtained during this testing will equal the testing completed in China. The Company has filed the necessary documents required for regulatory approval of the VScan TB test kit in China. The VScan test kit is the only test that does not give false positives.
The Company recently issued a press release indicating that it had received approval by regulatory authorities in China for its VScan HIV1&2 test kit. By regulatory approval, the Company was referring to the SDA. In regard to India, the approval of the rapid test kit for HIV1&2 refers to the VScan test kit. The Company has begun production in the Shanghai facility related to orders in China that were waiting for the SDA approval.
If it takes as long for TB approval from the SDA as it did for HIV, then approval might be expected sometime around May. That could be great timing, especially if the company is announcing shipments and revenues from the HIV test kits runniing up to that approval. This one looks like the real thing and on my short list for possible best performing stock for 2005.
