I've been in MSITF for a while now and it has bottomed out and is in a major accum phase.

MSITF products include: The VScan rapid test kit is a single use, disposable, accurate, cost effective, easy to use test for the screening of HIV 1&2, Hepatitis B&C, Tuberculosis (TB), dengue Fever, and West Nile.

It has a couple things going for it

1) The volume has been low and steady for the past few months. I take this to mean that there has not been any dilution and they are actually making enough money off sales to sustain their daily ops.

2) The chinese SDA is very close!

3) Nigeria approval was just received!

4) Annual financials are expected to come out in the next couple weeks.

5) Manufacturing is already in place with distributors ready to sell!

6) MM's have been playing games at the close with this one. It trades all day at 0.003 x 0.0033 and then it gets dropped right at the close.

This thing could go to 0.05+ with the chinese announcement and first major sales contract announcement.

As this is my firstpost, please note that I am not a new poster, as I changed names. My old handle was Saving4KidsCollege!

Good Luck to All!!!!!!

If the CEO doesnt understand that he has to file for real-time volume transaction on L2, it might just stay there forever...

But he just can't seemed to want that for ??? reason. I've asked 2 times already, once in spring and again last month.

I still hold a large position on this one cause i think they have a good product, but investors' relation s&cks.

I know everyone harps on the fact that real time BxA is not available, but does a 20 - 30% profit require real time info?

Anybody think that a 2nd approval can come this week? They have been using the TB test kits in China hospitals in an "Experimental" mode. Look at this old PR......Remember, TB is just as big if not bigger than HIV in both China AND India!!!!!!

Medical Services to Continue Experimental Use of VScan TB Test Kit
Monday September 13, 6:01 am ET

EDMONTON, Alberta, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that the experimental use of its VScan TB test kit has been extended in Chinese hospitals. The hospitals currently using the VScan TB test kit have received regulatory approval to continue to use the VScan TB test kit on an experimental basis while applying for regulatory approval. Additional hospitals will also begin using the TB test kits.

Based on the excellent test results that have been obtained in PRC hospitals using the VScan TB test kit, particularly the fact that the VScan TB test kits do not give false positives, regulatory authorities have given permission for the hospitals to continue using the VScan TB test kit on an experimental basis in PRC hospitals. The data being generated by the hospitals will ultimately be submitted to the SDA to help set testing standards for Tuberculosis (TB) in China. There is no other rapid test kit available that measures only live TB and does not give false positives.

Tuberculosis kills more people each year than all of the other infectious diseases combined. Testing for TB has become mandatory when related to immigration in most countries. Tuberculosis will kill over 8 million people this year. As the test results of the VScan TB test kits become published it is expected that the demand for the kit will be very high and it is reasonable to expect that the company will sell in excess of 4 to 5 million TB test kits per year.

Nice little pull back giving the opportunity to squeeze the last little bit of blood out of the stones in the back yard and finish me off in terms of adding to my position.

I look forward to the company's annoucement of the approval of the TB test, as well as PRs regarding shipments and revenues.

My only quandry is whether to hold for the long term, or look to do some in/out trading as the stock peaks and pulls back on longer term upward trend.

Anyone have any suggestions how to judge peaks and troughs? Do bollinger bands give guidance? moving averages? I don't want to sell and have the stock run away from me, but I also don't want to ride it down into a big trough if I could play it better.

Help would be appreciated.

We are having a healthy retrace / gap filling session. We are down 33% from the run up! ( this is less than the 50+% that QBID and MLON have recently experienced.

When I purchase stock, there are a few criteria that I use:
1) Does the company have a viable product to offer that is in demand? In MSITF case, this is most definitely YES..... this company like Qbid is targeting a particular market that has plenty of room to grow! I try to stay away from companies that are working on just an idea or premise.... they always seem to fail miserably!
2) Is the company finding/filling a niche? Again yes to this.... with the functionality of this test kit using whole blood with no refrigeration, etc required, even a big dumy like myself could use this and figure it out!

I am holding for at least 6-12 more months for .10 or a buyout by a bigger player. This company has set themselves up for success by working on the distribution and marketing while they were waiting for the approvals. They will begin to immediately see sales revenue now that the approvals have arrived.

Another thing that has jumped out to me that no one else has mentioned is that in the India approval PR, it clearly stated that they were approved for sales AND MANUFACTURING! I see this as very important as the China facility could easily be tapped out of prodcution capability very quickly when their product starts to gain acceptance and widespread use in southeast ASIA. India would provide an inexpensive 2nd mfg facility!

Seeing improvement from about .006 low to .0067/.0070. Looks like the bargain sales price might be over. Hearing on RB that additional PRs expected over the next week to 10 days from a poster who has a reasonable track record of accurately anticipating such. Time will tell, yet it wouldn't surprise me if the MMs took the stock down to shake some easy sales before the announcement and run.

Medical Services Anticipates Substantial Increase in Revenue
Friday December 10, 6:00 am ET

EDMONTON, Alberta, Dec. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc., (Pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that based on existing kit orders, distribution agreements in place and being negotiated and marketing studies completed combined with the regulatory approvals related to the VScan HIV test kits that the Company is projecting gross sales for 2005 of $6,800,000 US. This number is expected to increase once regulatory approval of the Tuberculosis (TB) and Dengue Fever kits are received in key southwest Asia markets. The Company will continue to expand its existing distribution network as well as implement marketing programs that have been waiting for regulatory approvals in both India and China.

Is this halted, I am showing no volume.

Posted by laughingotter0 on :

It's a foreign traded stock - that's why the F in the symbol. Volume is not reported during the day - total is available around 6:20 each evening after the close. This shortcoming (no easy or inexpensive way to get real time quotes and no volume stats during the trading day) is what some people believe keeps this stock from trading a lot higher. Reportedly (on another message board after a reported phone call to the company) the company will be working to get the F removed and better trading data available to investors. Time will tell. In the meantime, PRs indicate substantial progress made by the company in terms of approvals (Nigeria, India, China); manufacturing (Shanghai; distributor in India; Nigeria); and orders (China).

The company has delivered on many of the potentials that existed earlier in the year, and appears poised on the brink of delivering significant revenues and profits next. Short term investors seem to be looking to the $.03-.10 range as an initial target range, with long term investors less specific but generally making noise about increasing their personal targets, in large part because they say the company's TB test could have even more potential than the HIV test.

Current price in the $.006s seems like a very attractive entry point considering the degree of performance to date in obtaining approvals and the potential for signficant revenue and profits in the near term - coupled with other products with great potential still in the approval process.

This stock is definitely my pick for most potential over the coming 6-12 months.

Another good PR - confirms the accuracy of MSITF's test and its superiority to the competition. IMO, it's only MM playing games that keeps this stock down, but I'm not complaining yet, since I would still like to add to my position. At some point, the PPS has to reflect the strong products, approvals, orders/shipments and revenues the company has in place. At these prices, the market value is only about $12.5 million, which seems absurdly low IMO for a company with the demonstrated potential this one has. GLTA

EDMONTON, Alberta, Dec 14, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) is pleased to announce that it has participated in a live testing program in the Dominican Republic along with other rapid test kits that are being used in the Caribbean for detection of HIV. All of the tests completed using rapid test kits were confirmed using Western Blot or actual CD4 test results. The VScan rapid test kit was 100% accurate. The other test kit used only had an accuracy of 93% with one false positive.

Most rapid test kits only have the ability to detect the HIV virus at the IgG antigen level. The VScan test kit first picks up the HIV virus at the IgA and IgM levels which show up in the blood stream much earlier than IgG. This makes the VScan rapid test kit much more sensitive and it detects the HIV virus much earlier than other test kits.

The VScan test kits require no refrigeration, no electricity and no medical facilities or trained medical personnel. The Vscan rapid test kit performs better than any other test kit it comes to whole blood. It can be used in any environment and is the best to use for testing in remote areas.

The test results and approvals completed in the Caribbean will be used to apply for an overall approval in the Caribbean by Carec. The Caribbean has a population base of 14,000,000 and a transient population of over 45,000,000 people.

Adds major confirmation that MSITF is for real, having the HIV test under distribution agreement with a major and reputable company - this is a great outside confirmation MSITF's legitimacy and the reality of its product beyond its own PRs. This should alleviate concerns of a scam that many sceptics of the company have voiced in the past. Ready for this one to rock-and-roll.

Market valuation of this company approaching ridiculously low levels - somewhere under $10MM for a company with products, approvals, orders and manufacturing. How can this be when so many other companies with so much less going for them are valued so much more highly. Seems like something else must be going on - MMs playing games? Short sellers trying to make some money?

I guess I need to learn patience all over again. GLTA longs.

My wife is a doctor in Beijing and her friend is with the Center for Disease Control in Chengdu, China (13 million people) and neither are aware of the V-scan test. Someone needs to get out there and sell, sell, sell.

Without sounding like a "basher" I say, sell now and buy back in at a lower level. $.0010 would be SWEET!

Too late, you sounded pretty well like a basher to me. What makes you think we will be getting down tio those levels amongst all the good news we have had as of late?

That's exactly what I'm doing...accumulating at low until we see real-time transaction.

I missed last dip but I'm watching closely this time.

New News today - confirms that VScan has SDA approval in China and that the VScan HIV test kit is approved in India - clarifies any misunderstandings that bashers tried to create from the prior PRS. This is great!

Medical Services to Begin Testing of Its VScan Tuberculosis(TB) Test Kit on a Large Scale in New Year
December 16, 2004 06:01:00 AM ET

EDMONTON, Alberta, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) is pleased to announce that it will begin testing of its VScan Tuberculosis (TB) rapid test kit on a large scale outside China. The testing is scheduled to start by the middle of January, 2005. The Company is very confident that the results obtained during this testing will equal the testing completed in China. The Company has filed the necessary documents required for regulatory approval of the VScan TB test kit in China. The VScan test kit is the only test that does not give false positives.

The Company recently issued a press release indicating that it had received approval by regulatory authorities in China for its VScan HIV1&2 test kit. By regulatory approval, the Company was referring to the SDA. In regard to India, the approval of the rapid test kit for HIV1&2 refers to the VScan test kit. The Company has begun production in the Shanghai facility related to orders in China that were waiting for the SDA approval.

If it takes as long for TB approval from the SDA as it did for HIV, then approval might be expected sometime around May. That could be great timing, especially if the company is announcing shipments and revenues from the HIV test kits runniing up to that approval. This one looks like the real thing and on my short list for possible best performing stock for 2005.

I would hope that this news would finally get the stock price moving up to levels that it belongs. The bid came up a little on pinksheets but the ask is still at .0048. Not sure how accurate the bid and ask are.

The pps went up to about .0055/.0059 earlier in the day, and has settled back again. Hard to understand why the market values this company so low right now considering the recent approvals, orders in process, etc. Patience remains the key - this one will pay off eventually in a big way for investors who don't get frightened into selling too soon - IMO.

GLTA longs.

It looks to me that the PPS for MSITF has stabilized and hopefully ready for a run as soon as some good news comes out. I have a lot of faith in this position and I feel that they have a great product. New PRs in the New Year regarding their progress will drive up the PPS, all IMHO of course.

Can you explain how a company goes about getting realtime quotes and volume? do they need to have volume up to a certain level? Another company I have stocks in has investigated getting realtimeith no luck. What about dropping the f at the end of the ticker? Can they do that? How do I find out more?

thanks,

So, do like me, call the CEO, tell him you're a shareholder and you would like to add more shares to your port but will not until he does the right thing for the shareholders.

Phone number and name posted previously.

I hope everyone got the message now. Thank you.

They dont need to drop the F...the F only means Foreign for main Office...they only need to do some paper work and pay de due...very simple...but the CEO told me it was not his priority...if you go public with your co...why in hell wouldnt you want people to see realtime transaction???

Best thing is more people calling him and asking for him to file those paper. No magic trick there...

So, what does all of this mean in English? A relatively small amount of option due to expire this month and more due to expire the end of the year? I assume the ones due to expire end of Jan. 2005 have already been exercised.

Relatively small??? Total about 50M if you add them all at .0002/.0005 PPS...if you ask me what it means in English...may I ask if you read filings or you just don't care?

If they were exercised, well, where's the info?

Anyway. What happened to FatherOfTwo? You started posting just when he stopped? Coincidence?

Don't worry, I wont bother you with my info anymore...since I have a feeling I am. I made my point. Been doing my DD for a year on this one, called CEO couple times, was a shareholder for at least 3 in/out.

Yes they have potential...but I don't think they care about shareholders at all.

GL to you.

No, I am just a father of 1 [Smile] Not quite sure what got you all worked up?? Your the one sending out private messages to everyone who has posted under this thread, what is your motivation may I ask? I have a small position in this company becasue I think they have a good product and good potential. And to answer your questions, no, I don't read filings, not yet. I am new to trading, I am learning every day and to be honest, I only understand about 10% of the info on that url you posted. I have no idea of the options have been exercised, all I know that if my options were to expire in less than 1 month, I wouldn't wait until the last minute to exercise them.

And, when I asked you to tell me in english what it meant, I am serious, I really don't understand the ramifications of having so many options. I figure most companies offer options and don't understand why this is any different, and obviously this info has been avaialable for some time, it is old, correct?

Anyway, I appreciate it if you are honestly just trying to help a fellow investor. I really am new. I don't know what your motivations are.

I only sended the message to you to get your opininon since your where posting on it. Sorry if I misunderstood your question, I thought you were nagging me.

As for option, knowing that the CEO and many more insiders are gonna get zillions of shares this months for less then .0005 PPS doesnt help getting the PPS up. After they have finished selling there shares...and if they finally go real time transaction, then we might see something. Until then, the only thing I can see is the CEO keeping everyone in the dark for some reason...and it's not for the good of shareholders IMO.

I appologize for mistaking your actions in the first place. Thank you for your information. So these insiders will get these shares and presumally turn around and sell these shares at what they can get for them rather than holding. And I assume that this is partially why the price has been drooping as of late even with the good news. People exercising these options before they expire. Does it mean anything that the exercise price is so much less for this year as last year? But, there are less options this year than last. Is there any way to tell how many of the options that expire the end of this month have been exercised?

Posted by Malloy on :

Still trying to find the filing but they can do it late and the SEC almost never say anything about it...some insiders transaction are even filed 5 years after they are done and people are fine $ only very little for it...

If I were to have 10M shares at .0005 and have the occasion to sell them 10x the price...the same day...well....

The only thing I'm sure is, all insiders will use their option...such a bargain.

I did a spreadsheet to determine the value of these options and my calcs do not agree with yours. I would be happy to send you the spreadsheet if you give me your e-mail. I want to know if I screwed up. Anyway, this is what I came up with:
$425,250 = Value of options ending 1/24/05
$513,600 = Value of options ending 12/31/06

I haven't posted in a while, but I am still alive. I have just moved and haven't been able to post!

TTBad... I would love to see 0.78, but think something in the .1 - .2 range is more feasible once the real time quotes are provided.

Of course, if the FDA were granted, all bets are off!

TTBad..... here is my thought on pps potential...

20,000,000 test kits produced (current capability)
$2.00 / kit
35% expense level
2 Billion SO
12 multiple

therefore...
20,000,000 * $2.00 = $40,000,000
$40,000,000 * 0.65 = $26,000,000

$26,000,000 / 2,000,000,000 = 0.013

0.013 * 12 = $0.156 / share target valuation

Father of 2, I agree that 0.78 is far fetched, but I am in 100% agreement that the PPS is WAY undervalued!

Another good PR today:
Medical Services Ships VScan Test Kits to Sri Lanka
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/050110/nym111_1.html

And as they state in this PR, "With the increase in standing water as a result of the disaster in that region there will be a significant increase in the mosquito populations and as such an increase in Dengue Fever." the demand for their test kits will keep going up and up, market expanding, this is by far my pick for the stock with the most potential for 2005.

I still do not understand why Malloy thinks that by offering some stock options to their employees (which based on my cals are no where near the value he had) proves that they don't care about their shareholders.

Medical Services Adds Additional Test Kits To Its Inventory
Tuesday January 11, 6:01 am ET

EDMONTON, Alberta, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that it has completed testing and development of a Syphilis rapid test kit. The Company through its R&D facility in the United States developed and tested the Syphilis test kit and has begun to manufacture and ship the test kits to distributors. The development of this test kit came as a result of requests from both distributors and regulatory agencies asking that the Company use its technology to bring a syphilis test kit to market. The techniques developed during the progression of our other VScan test kits were instrumental in the rapid development of the Syphilis test kit. The Company has already begun shipping the Syphilis test kit for use in several countries.

Over the last 10 years HIV and syphilis are increasingly appearing in tandem. Transmitted by sexual contact and advanced through risky behavior, syphilis causes a breakdown of the skin and mucosal membranes that makes infection with the HIV virus more likely. The World Health Organization says that approximately 12 million new cases of syphilis appear each year. One- third of these cases are in sub-Saharan Africa, one-third are in South and Southeast Asia, and one-fourth are in Latin American and the Caribbean. These areas coincide with the areas where Medical Services has been developing its distribution network and has received regulatory approval of its VScan HIV 1&2 test kits. Elimination of syphilis would have far reaching public health implication because it would remove two devastating consequences of the disease -increased likelihood of HIV transmission and compromised ability to have healthy babies.

Medical Services believes that adding a syphilis test kit to our inventory is a perfect match with the HIV test kit. The program that the Company participates in with regulatory agencies - testing for HIV in pregnant women - will also benefit from this program.

There is a substantial market worldwide for a rapid test kit for syphilis that is cost effective, accurate, requires no refrigeration and is very fast (under 10 minutes). Early detection of syphilis is important in the overall treatment of the syphilis bacterium.

Once the marketing program starts it is anticipated that the Company will sell in excess of 4,000,000 syphilis test kits per year.

It looks like they are gearing up for FDA approval...

Medical Services Develops the Next Generation of HIV Test Kit
Friday January 14, 6:00 am ET

EDMONTON, Alberta, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that it has developed a rapid test kit that detects the HIV virus within 2 to 11 days of infection. The latest generation of the VScan HIV test kits has the unique ability to detect the IgM class of antibodies. In lab studies it was demonstrated that the VScan IgM specific kit was able to accurately detect the HIV virus in samples that the existing gold standard tested as being negative. There is no other test kit that detects the HIV virus as early as the VScan HIV IgM test kit.

IgM is the earliest class of antibodies produced by the immune system. This early detection means that treatment and counseling can be started as early as possible, in most cases before the immune system has been compromised. All other rapid test kits do not detect the HIV virus until the IgG antibody becomes detectable. This is usually over 90 days after the individual has been infected by the HIV virus and the immune system has been compromised to a certain extent. With early detect using the HIV IgM test kit and by treating with the appropriate medications, the individual is able to maximize the effectiveness of the immune system and potentially prevent complications such as co-infection with other diseases such as TB, HepB or C or the subsequent development of AIDS. It is these other diseases coupled with the complete breakdown of the immune system that makes AIDS eventually fatal. This early treatment ensures that the individual can lead a productive and full life.

The new test kit will have two portals that will individually identify the IgM antibody and the IgG antibody. Rapid, accurate and early detection of the HIV virus is the cornerstone of worldwide disease prevention and treatment.
