40yrs old retired military. Shes 37, had a rare disease when she was 16 were her white blood cells attached her own body. Damaged her kidneys but they lasted till she was 23. Was on dialysis for a year then got a transplant and lost at the first of this year. Was a teacher, but since I have a retirement from military, I retired to take care of her and our 4 year old daughter.

Sam, DID NOT mean that rudely in any way. It was out of concern I asked. Sorry if I misstated, was intended as entirely personal. Ric, I hope you took it that way... Terry

Thats alright Terry, I took it the right way. No she got the transplant in 1991. One year after being on dialysis the first time. She lost it (rejected it) January 2004, the first of the year and had to go back on dialysis. She was in the hospital 180 days. Almost didn't make it, she was very sick. Put she is getting much better now and hopefully will be strong enough at the first of 2005 to be put back on the transplant list again.

Just lucky in a sense that I did have the military retirement. Also had some good investments in the past. It helped. It would have been hard with a 4 year old and a sick wife if I had to work. She has to be on home dialysis 9 1/2 hours a night. But at least its throught the night. Its better then Hemo dialysis were she would have to go to the hospital 3 times a week.

Fly, because I TRULY care about Ric and The misses I'm asking questions. The other popular crap will be on reality TV. That doesn't mean squat. I truly care about Ric and his wife. I'm 48 and have been through several losses regarding family members, that's why I'm so "blatant" regarding my questions, I've been there....give me some credibility. Ric, I can see from your posts that you understand my questions. I, like you, am so glad she can have her treatments from home, it's better for her and your family. I wish she and you the best during this trying time. May God bless you and you wife during this challenging time and may she and you be given all the strength that you need at this time. I will keep you two in my thoughts and prayers. Terry

Heres a depressing thought, if you would have been the lucky one to buy this stock just one year ago, you would be rich. If you bought $10,000.00 of the stock you would have been a millionaire. If hindsight was foresight we would all have it made, I guess. Our little Q has came a long way from then. But of course if I were able to leave my past a message, it would have been to buy PGHI (GZFX). $1000.00 last year would have made you a millionaire.

Just caught up with the posts and wanted to say how happy I am to know that there are still truly caring people 'out there.' You all seem to be so kind....genuinely nice people. (I actually check this thread just to see friendly 'faces.' This thread feels like 'internet homebase' sometimes...LOL)
Ric, think I've mentioneed this a time or two, but I think of you often because of your wife and child. We've had our own big share of health problems in our family, so my thoughts do turn to you through out the day. I hope you have family support...you certainly have 'cyber' support!
Just wanted to say that I empathize with you and hope that all continues to improve! You must be a wonderful father and husband...and I thought I had the last good man...LOL

I was just getting ready to say the same thing, lol. Took daughter to park today and she wore me out. Glad I got a strong heart. But joints ache, feet hurt, and still have to watch cartoons when I get home.

Just chilin'. I had a VP from a company I sent a resume to 5 or 6 months ago call me yesterday that wants to interview week after next. I'm torn now, I like daytrading very much, and have recently actually made money, compared to the bucchos I lost at the onset. I do miss being involved socially with people, that's a plus. And the benefit package is a plus. Plus, I would stay in the big city during the week and maybe actually have a social life. But, I will miss Dog's seminar. I'm just weighing out the options. Plus, I'm not sure of the actual $ figures. Guess I'll pursue it and see what's up. Terry

Can't hurt to at least hear what they will offer. Of course, winter was real good to me in the stocks last year. Feb. - May anyway.

Ric, I know. It's hard, it's nice in the morning to shower and shave(shave optional), throw on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, and go to work. No dry cleaning, no fuel expense, no traffic...but I'm very isolated out here in the country, so the social interaction is definitely a plus. What to do, what to do...

Checking out College football scores. Trying to see who lost to give my team a better ranking. Hopefully anyway. Number 7 Michigan and 9 Wisconsin lost and number 8 Florida State is losing. Might be good day for me at least. My team Tennessee lost both the 1st and 2nd string Quarterbacks this year so they lost two games now and have a 3rd string for the rest of the season. They need all the help they can get, lol.

Ric, My school is TCU, They've had a sad year, especially compared to last year. Between the Cowboys and the Frogs this football season has sucked. I don't even get excited about Sunday games this season. We play Baltimore tomorrow and they're favored by 8 points. Oh well.

G'nite there Terry, Yea, was talked into making a pineapple upside down cake. Had to go to store and get everything and some ice cream. It was good though. And pineapple smoothies with the left over pineapples.

Were lucky Rod in that way. Insurance I mean. But it wasn't because I had good insurance. It was because of Renal Failure. The law is wrong for other organ failure because Medicare A & B actually cover Renal Failure and pays for dialysis and Kidney transplants. It is the only transplant that it pays for. It also pays for the dialysis medicine and transplant anti-rejection medicine. And you thought that Medicare was only for old people.

you have had a tough go of it. Thanks God you are able to do the home treatment after all that you have endured.
