you have to have the right scotch i like chivas regal 12 year old scotch. if i cant have that then i settle for glenfidich

regals is the only one I like though. If I drink anything else though its volka mixed with ahout anything. But seeing how I drink only on holidays, I don't try much. lol
Of course I mean Chivas Regal.

I wonder about the preference of certain spirits..... As long as they are 40% alchol or more...I just wanna suck em down till I feel my head getting heavy.....Just can't see actually enjoying the taste of any liquor.. They got one purpose...To get me drunk fast...And a 5 dollar bottle of whatever can do that....

Most liquors are an aquired taste. You usually don't like them when you first try them, which makes you want to just shoot them down and get the job done. But, if I remember right, you live in Tennessee. There is more than just Bourbon out there to try. J/K

I felt the board calling. GREY GOOSE MARTINI, STRAIGHT UP. SHAKEN LIGHTLY, DRY. WITH ONIONS. Workin' on my second but, Whoooo-Man'O Man, You should see the size of this glass.
Gotta' love the Martini. Classic, no fruit foo-foo added. A good woman, drinks the best Martini's.
Hint guys. Check her liquor cabinet, medicine cabinet, lingerie drawer, fridge and you've learned all you need to know. IMHO.

Your right Kris...but I still go back to the statement....I drink to get a buzz or drunk...not to enjoy the taste...Hell I get a coke for that....Still lots of stills around here to get the strongest drink you can imagine...Doesn't taste good but does what alcohol is intended for....Guess I just overdo things....But bottom line the buzz is what I am after. And I feel if someone is drinking spirits for the taste they got issues.....But I am one man with one small mind so what do I know...

kb and others, once you try Oban or McMillan_ Chivas will be secondary except when you are at your average bar and you don't have those choices. Firefly, are you still awake? Terry

i have lost of issues then as i am a lover of scotch brandy cognac and crown to name a few.
I think i will go back and edit one of my messages before the alcohol talk to warn people to skip over the last page or so unless they want to read about the finer aspects of drinking.

LOL, Hey, I just got here. LOL Hey Sam, How are you doin' honey. I must agree about it all being an aquired taste. I remember my first experience with Remy. I thought my glass would catch fire from the smell. LOL Now it is my drink of choice on a cold North Eastern night, on the patio, in front of fire listening to all of the sounds of nature with not another house for miles. Whoooo-Hoooo. What happens next? Got myself all worked up now guys. Gotta' go wake up the hubby.
