can't see the cc doing much for the pps if only because its like an insiders joke only certain ppl get it but if chicago gets up & running maybe getting back to .005 is possible. still wondering why RCN isn't putting Q in L.A.

I can remember after our big run that all we taked about was being at least .50 this summer, maybe a dollar. I lost hope in May when we were at .015 and soft launch was going to happen. Everyone cheering we are going to .10 but it came and went and we went down to .01. Hard launch, yea, we are going to go over a dime and nothing, crushed. July we are going to burst and we dropped. August we have a carrier we are going to .25, we dropped, depressed. September we are going live so hold on, you won't be able to buy at this price again. We dropped. We went live in SF, then NY, and then Boston and nothing. But I knew this was a great stock and got over it and stuck with it.

My point. This is a great company. It will go up sometime but quit getting your hopes up. We will move when we move and there is nothing anyone of us can do about it. I really don't see us moving that much this week. If I am wrong thats great but don't give up if we don't. Most stocks move up slowly and that can be the best thing. I don't see us over our 52 week high this year. And before someone fusses about what I said just remember that at christmas and if I am wrong, then you can fuss at me.

I agree Ric.
I love Q. I also have made a lot of money with it. I do expect good things to come of this company. But, you are right. I think this is where people get upset with it. Expectations are always of Jan and April. When it does not happen, The big freak out happens.
This will hit a DIME in time. It may not happen over night but it will happen. Would be happy to see a penny as of now.
The Q is on the move and is headed in the right direction.
Frank is doing all he has set out to do thus far. Can't wait for the CC on the 28th.
Just don't expect a dime on friday, if it happens........I'll be leaping for Joy. Just trying to keep it real.

GLA.

Pink TV is here (in France anyway):
http://au.news.yahoo.com/041025/11/rdc4.html

French Gays Hail Their New 'Pink TV' Channel
PARIS (Reuters) - Gays across France celebrated the launch of the country's first television channel for homosexuals on Monday, anticipating a pink mixture of fashion, travel, talk, cult movies, music and soap operas.
The launch of "Pink TV" comes as gays in France are already making headlines with a controversial push to legalize same-sex marriages and calls to enhance the fiscal rights of gay couples.
"The gay wave," Le Parisien daily said in big letters on its front page on top of a rainbow flag. But the creators of Pink TV say they also want to cater for heterosexuals.
"Pink will not be a ghetto channel, but one to assert gay identity," its president, Pascal Houzelot, told Le Parisien. "We want to accompany a positive development in society but remain watchful of movements going the opposite way."
Houzelot estimated some 3.5 million people in France are gay, some seven percent of the population, and hoped to attract at least 180,000 subscribers to the private channel.
For nine euros ($11) a month, viewers will be able to cheer gay comedians, enter debates on gay rights, enjoy classic films or watch porn movies late at night.
Gay rights activists say the channel could help make homosexuality more acceptable in France, where the conservative government has taken a strong stance against legalizing gay weddings or allowing gays to adopt children.
"The gay channel helps to show homosexuality is something normal, which is a good thing," said Alain Piriou from the Inter-LGBT gay rights group. "It can highlight that gays are just another part of society with their own interests."
But Piriou said Pink TV, whose launch has caused little controversy so far, would be unlikely to play a major role in the struggle to improve gay rights.
"In our campaign to legalize gay weddings, for example, we seek to address as broad an audience as possible. Promoting this demand on the gay channel -- to ourselves basically -- doesn't really serve this interest," he said.
The debate about same-sex marriages gained steam after a maverick mayor performed France's first gay wedding in June. Although a court subsequently annulled it, many gay couples have vowed to tie the knot.
Some politicians from the Socialist opposition are promising to push for legalizing gay marriage, but conservatives oppose it as an attack on the sanctity of marriage.

You know if they would start advertising in the alternative weekly's as a coming soon type ad that would really help. Those magazines are free in most popular hot spots in all the major cities.

Having been mentioned today for just a sec. is great free press though!

No I doubt Q can charge Pink TV to view
because license rights are per country basis unless Q has international rights

for example... i watch italian soccer on rai international, which is RAI corp.... for the last 20 years they have rights to show the games domestically. This year they had to bid for USA rights against Settanta and lost the bid. So this year I cant watch the games live but only recoreded 2 hrs later! even though RAI corp in italy shows it in direct

so unless QTN has International rights
they get no $$ to license...
can anyone check to see if they have international rights?
i looked but couldnt find anything

Q Television would also serve as the agent for the redistribution of television and radio broadcast rights, allowing for access beyond Q Television’s cable footprint, especially in international markets. The media rights being sold would not prohibit standard news coverage.

==============================================hopefully this doesn't mean the news shows don't have to come to Q for video footage, cable news, 60 mins & the like. we want them to do this because it means they have to say where they got it & thus maybe prompt and story or 2 about Q.

Q has the broadcast rights to the games. News clips will have to come from Q or Q licenced rebroadcasters. the news can report anythgin they want but they will have to get the video footage from the Q would be my take on it. if you watch the sports highlights on CNN you will see ESPN or CBC ofr what ever the broadcaster happens to be and they will have to credit the agency by stating or putting it in writing on the screen.

that is what having the rights is all about.

smart move on Franks part.

all the financials will come out when we go to reporting (otc, amex, etc). profitable 12-13 months--well, we'll see. this is what he said important to me (for the future going forward):

...referring to the 2006 gay olympics....

"we have all the broadcast, all the network, all the line-feed rights.
we'll be able to send it all over the world.
wherever anybody wants it, they have to get it from us."

"we just signed that deal yesterday"

--so we (the q) have a signed contract in hand for the future!!!

...legitimacy. we (the q) really exist folks.......

It's only a matter of time boys and girls.
2 cents is only 500% away. Thats nothing.
We can do 100% in 1 day.
Once we get passed 1 cent, I serioously don't see us dropping back to these levels.

We might go from .02 to .013 but I don't think sub-penny will be considered.

Enjoy.

I think the part about the television rights will be the big surprise. I believe it means that any other station that wants to broadcast the Gay Games will have to go through Frank and therefore pay QBID for a licencse or something like that to broadcast on another channel. Can anyone verify this idea?

Trader 0, does this answer your question?

Press Release Source: Q Television Network

Chicago Gay Games Signs Multi-million Deal for TV/Radio Broadcast Rights
Friday October 1, 10:30 am ET
Letter of Intent Signed with California-based Q Television Network

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 2004--Chicago organizers of Gay Games VII today announced a multi-million dollar cash and barter deal assigning television and radio broadcast rights to the Q Television network. Q Television Network and Chicago Games, Inc. (CGI) signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) marking the final negotiation period for an agreement

*.. .transferring the media rights to the California-based cable network.

ADVERTISEMENTThe LOI outlines the broad terms of the proposed deal, including broadcast rights, joint development of Gay Games-related programming, broadcast airtime for advanced Gay Games advertising, and live and taped coverage of Gay Games VII events from 15 to 22 July 2006. As part of the proposed agreement, Q Television, a subscriber-based television network affiliated with RCN Cable and other providers, will unscramble its signal during live coverage of the Gay Games in 2006.

*Q Television would also serve as the agent for the redistribution of television and radio broadcast rights, allowing for access beyond Q Television's cable footprint, especially in international markets.

*The media rights being sold would not prohibit standard news coverage. (Sports sections on the news)

"It has been my dream to get television created specifically for the LGBT audience on the air," said Frank Olsen, CEO and President of Q Television. "With the Gay Games as our landmark network event, we will begin immediately to present the stories of the men and women worldwide that participate in the Games and build anticipation and excitement until the opening ceremonies."

Steven Grunberg, Executive Vice-President of Programming for the Q Television Network, said "Q Television is all about 'community' and showing LGBT life at its best and most uplifting. We are honored to be chosen as the home for the Games and we will work hand-in-hand with Chicago's organizers to deliver one of the great LGBT events of the new millennium."

Chicago Outstripping Fundraising Projections

"In the six short months since Chicago was selected as host of Gay Games VII, we've made dramatic progress toward our financial goals and achieved fundraising benchmarks months, or in some cases, years ahead of schedule," said Tracy Baim, CGI Board Co-Vice Chair and Chair of the Fundraising Committee. "Once broadcast rights are assigned, we will have raised more than US$3 million in cash and in-kind resources." CGI announced a million-dollar sponsorship deal with PlanetOut Inc. on 20 September 2004.

"We believe that these rapid and positive developments are representative of the widespread support for the Gay Games mission and the Gay Games VII business model," said Dennis Sneyers, CGI Co-Chair. "Our business plan is built upon years of analysis and study by the international Federation of Gay Games (FGG), a return to the core of the Gay Games - an event that is laser-focused on the athletes, artists and fans. A conservative budget, expert community organizers, a true partnership with the FGG, and top-notch vendors hired to implement key components of the plan means we now enjoy the confidence of our community, sports organizers worldwide, and now the corporate world."

"We are extremely excited to have a broadcast partner this far in advance of the Games," said Kevin Boyer, CGI Board Co-Vice President and Chair of the Marketing Committee. "Advanced television coverage and programming will let us tell the inspiring Gay Games story to even more people. The Gay Games have never had an opportunity like this and we are excited to be an integral part of the Q Television mission to create a network devoted to providing television programming for the LGBT community."

Negotiations were spearheaded by Amy Shomer of Plan B, Chicago's primary corporate sponsorship development firm. With offices in Los Angeles, Montreal and London, Plan B has worked to match corporate sponsors with the Gay Games since being retained by Chicago in early 2004. when RCN was signed & supposed to be up & running early sept. i thought by now we would have sub. numbers & that would be the force to bring us out of the sub-penny world. i still believe that will be the one thing to get the pps moving other then a top 5 cable company signing & getting us up & running a lot faster then RCN has. somebody with well over 1 million subscribers not 400,000. we need a total of cable subscribers close to 2 million, we have 20% now but still need 80% more and that is more then likely just a matter of time. 2 TV mentions in the last week on regular cable, nothing in life is certain but it sure seems headed that way.
