Cathy Kay's site has an update on her Q activities:
http://www.showbizhypnotist.com/ActorArtist.html

Nothing we didn't know, but at least she's still with us:

"OCTOBER'04:
There's a ground-breaking new TV network in
the works called Q Television Network (QTN) -
the nations's first 24/7 Gay & Lesbian channel:
UPDATE:
In July I met with the network execs to shoot
a pilot talk show series as one of the hosts
The show is called WOW! (Women On Women).
Production is now being moved to Texas, but there
will be segments shot on-location in L.A., where I'll
produce and host celebrity interviews, and possibly
more pieces on health, beauty, fashion, and music
QTN is a pay cable channel, currently live in
Manhattan and San Francisco on Channel 255."

RCN news, sounds like they're still strong, hopefully out of BK soon?

RCN Elects to Acquire Remaining 50% Stake of Washington, D.C. Operations; Deal Will Give RCN Complete Control Over Nearly 50,000 Subscribers

***

PRINCETON, N.J., Oct. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- RCN Corporation ("RCN" or the "Company") announced today that its subsidiary, RCN Telecom Services of Washington D.C., Inc. has elected to acquire the remaining 50% stake in its Washington, D.C. market for $29 million from Pepco Communications. Upon completion of the purchase, RCN will obtain full ownership and control of the approximately 48,000 customers and 180,000 marketable homes in the greater Washington, D.C. area. The Company expects to complete the transaction before the end of the year. Under a right of first refusal provision in the operating agreement with Pepco Communications, a wholly owned affiliate of Potomac Electric Power Company, RCN elected to match a third party's offer to purchase the remaining 50% interest owned by Pepco Communications. RCN and Pepco Communications launched service in its Washington, D.C. market in the summer of 1999, and today its state-of-the-art fiber optic network serves residents in downtown Washington, the Maryland communities of Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Gaithersburg, Silver Spring, and Takoma Park, as well as Falls Church, Virginia. The service offers customers "triple play" bundled packages of digital cable television, local and long distance phone, and high speed Internet, all with the convenience and value of a single provider and a single monthly bill. Recent product launches include High Definition Television, Video on Demand, as well as Subscription Video on Demand service with several premium channels............................................

Qbidder's signature quote reminds me:

FACTA NON VERBA - "facts, not words" - "Don't tell me... SHOW me".

I've got to say that one of my greatest fears was that even if they DID launch, they might have crappy content. Well, it looks like maybe once Frank went into his "quiet period", and while some of us (including me) were implying (to put it nicely) that Frank didn't know what he was doing, he was busy "gettin' it done", cranking out quality programming, just like he said he would. Go figure...

I'm just so relieved that those clips don't look like Frank shot them in his basement! So, ya think it's true that Frank actually knows more about his business than us stock jockeys after all?

the promo is well done. its too bad rcn is so slow getting it up throughout their system. sub. numbers wont be in now till december and that will be the moving force in our pps. ad money depends on number of subscribers not how much they make and most of q's income is sub based.

MW I suggest you watch it!

This morning I posted that if you pause the video at .20-.22 seconds you'll see the Q Mobile. I didn't know if it was a hummer or a van but it looked good with the Q Logo on it.

Here's demuse's post.

Funny how in April we went to .028 on no news and hopes of making it to the National Cable Networks Convention in May. And now sitting at the same levels before that move we could either move like that again without notice to anyone, or we move on big news (another carrier).

Maybe Frank is preparing the gift to us:

I know Frank is a sweet person. He loves to take the time to explain things, he has a good heart. Maybe the investors are in for a nice holiday present.

Maybe in mid December he'll come out and say, hello boys and girls, we now have ______ as another carrier. Merry Christmas. And the PPS goes past its 52 week high.

1BigTip: Then there is the Easter Bunny and of course The "Tooth Fairy" and the both could bring good news. Maybe it will be the "Fairy Godmother" . But in any case I don't care who brings the news as long as we get it. I have been using these prices to drop my cost per share. I first got into Q at 0.0181 and now I have averaged down to 0.0038 with the dips. So now I am waiting to ride the Q Train to retirement. I will continue to buy at these prices. Go QBID!!!!! Bring Me Some Green!!!! I truly appreciate your post and all those other posters who keep me interested and believing in QBID, and yes even U4 who's post drive me to buy more, the poor misguided fool.

Doc. Congrats on averaging down that low! Thats great! Like I said before, it will take .75 to make me a millionaire right now but the longer it stays this low, the faster I will get there. Get it?

I don't even wat that. I just want past sub penny right now. Then work my way to my 1st exit point.

i looked at the video i have to agree it was much much better then i ever expected.

it has always been a concern to me as the the quality of the programming right up front. Fortuneatly Frank has more going for him then his looks :d

this thing has to move soon. very low volume today. this could be the calm before the storm.

I dont normally drink through the week but maybe tonight i will get right blitzed to see if that helps the pps.

lol

Not sure if you read other threads (you should) but past few weeks I was watching OMOG closely and posted that if it passed .0084 it would go above .01.

Well OMOG was trading sideways for weeks around .0080 with little volume (like Q), look what happened past 2 days with OMOG. Volume picked up out of nowhere, no news (yet) and PPS went above .0085 and closed at .016.

Home Depot Announces Gay Partner Benefits After Pet Fury
By Doreen Brandt

(Washington) Less than a day after a 365Gay.com story that Home Depot was offering pet insurance to its workers but not domestic partner benefits the giant hardware company announced it would change its policy and introduce health coverage to the partners of its unmarried workers including gays and lesbians.
Wednesday, 365Gay.com reported that Home Depot was one of four Fortune 500 companies offering pet insurance while refusing to give health care benefits to same-sex partners.

Today, in a statement the company told workers that it would begin offering the benefits.

"The Home Depot is finally putting its people first," said Human Rights Campaign President Cheryl Jacques.

HRC, which took the company to task for its refusal to grant partner benefits is now focusing on the other three: Sprint, Ecolab and Waste Management.

"We now call on Sprint, Ecolab and Waste Management to recognize that good business is putting an employee's partner above the family pet," Jacques said.

Home Depot had been slated to earn a failing grade on HRC's Corporate Equality Index, to be released later this month. The addition of domestic partner health insurance benefits will raise its score to 71 percent - which is also Sprint's tentative score . Waste Management is slated to receive 43 percent; Ecolab will not be scored because the company has never replied to the HRC questionnaire. The index measures how equitably companies treat their gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers and investors.

"The only thing keeping Home Depot from a perfect score is its lack of a non-discrimination policy covering gender identity," said HRC Education Director Kim I. Mills. "We will continue to work with the company to ensure all its employees get equal treatment."

In a 2004 survey of 459 companies, the Society for Human Resource Management reported that 34 percent offer same-sex benefits; 27 percent of respondents offered opposite-sex domestic partnership benefits.
---------------------------------------------

So we know that Home Depot would more than likely not have a problem advertising on a gay television network. Also, notice that 34% of 459 companies offered same sex marriages. Maybe I am dumb, but I don't think these companies that offer same sex benefits will not advertise to the millions of homosexuals who provide millions of dollars in revenue.

Also, I have a feeling that if one company advertises, we will start to see a lot of similar kinds of companies advertise. For example, if Home Depot advertises, it would make sense for other similar stores to start advertising (Lowes, Menards....etc.) You get my point?

I really do not appreciate the analogy of QBID being like a loaded gun. I have two third cousins that are in gun rehab and my dad has a gun in his closet ( he needs to admit he has a problem). Please do not make me suffer anymore.

Technical Analysis on QBID:

I know some of you say its a pink sheet stock and charts have nothing to do with it but I find that to be BS. I've witnessed many pink sheet stocks that have patterns. One thing I learned and know is that when you can form a triangle with a downtrend line using peaks and a line using dips, When the price breaks the roof of the formation and closes 5% or more above the roof line, the buy signal has been given. See chart for that spike in PPS outside the triangle:

Also; A downtrend tends to accelerate toward the end of a decline and on the way to the basement.(.0035-.0025) As the panic increases among sellers, they wind up dumping their shares on the market at whatever price they can get. Finally the turnpoint has reached and because the stock has been drastically oversold, and bargain hunters move in to pick up shares at cheap prices. Then the price is suddenly on the rise again, (.0029-.0040) and a new uptrend establishes itself.

To be a valid breakthrough, this penetration should be accompanied by a sharp increase in volume. (250+ million)
