yeah the first was Frampton. The Heart of Darkness is a book by Joseph Conrad. It is basically a critique of European imperialism. However, it critiques it through metaphors-it doesn't come out and say it. Also, it was written in 1903. I need to answer that question in 3-4 pages. The only problem is that it could easily be answered in one page, but I must draw it out to 3 or 4. I was just screwing around, just so you know.

I am particulary found of that book, I've read it many times. I would have to agree with that notion. Conrad repeatedly uses many metaphors as Kurtz travels deeper towards the diamond cache to imply the notion that at its heart, European imperialism into the primitive areas of the world is a bad thing. The further Kurtz travels into the "heart of darkness" the stronger the symbolism becomes. I am found of the movie "Apocolypse Now" which has striking similarities to Conrads book, however it is set in the Vietnam War era.

I actually wrote a 5 page paper on that book and that subject. I would e-mail it to you, but I have no idea where it is anymore. Get the Cliff Notes, it helped me write my paper.

I would recommend focusing your paper mostly on symbolism and particulary, Conrads use of light and dark to portray what is going on around Kurtz. Especially the light and dark going on inside Kurtz and Marlow hearts as the conflict approached its peak.

Thanks, I am almost done, then I have one more to write. It just gets annoying doing this kind of work when it has nothing to do with my major, Finance. I really could care less what this book critiques as long as I get an A in the class.

Does Barns and Nobles have a router? Need to bring my laptop to keep my eye on Q.
Its the book that "Apocolypse Now" is based on. The characters are basically the same except the book takes place in the African Congo, while the movie takes place in Vietnam. I think Barnes and Nobels do have internet access. I know the Borders by my house does. You really should read the book sometime, it is much better than the movie based on it.
Sorry for brining the PPS down. Back to diapers and Booze.

Lil', I've come to the conclusion that I'm not too fond of those protein drinks...too salty and way to thick. Just my personal experience of course...
Thinking I should just stick to the easy-to-stomach vanilla shake.
