Why can't Q just retire shares? Is that so difficult? Do they have to pay to retire shares?

Who says they haven't?

They are also buying back shares until September so it may behoove us all to have a much lower PPS for the time because in the end, the more shares they buy back the higher our pps will go !

You see no other altermative? No offense, but you don't have much of a grasp on finance, do you? Another alternative to a reverse splt, not even taking into account the claim to be retiring shares, would be to make a bunch of money. I'm not saying they will make a lot of money, nor am I suggesting they will reach a dollar. I am just saying that if you honestly can't think of any other alternative for reaching a dollar than a reverse split, you really should take a class in finance, or at least read a book, magazine, or newspaper once in a while. No offense intended, your post just seemed so blatantly unobjective. Have a nice day.
Kev

---------------------------------------------

Market cap would need at the level of microsoft to generate the cash you're talking about. With revenues from subscribers and possible ads, the float would be reduced from a buyback helping the PPS out up a couple of cents but not $1. I think QBID has got you a little excited Kev. I think you are the one that needs a little education about how this game works.....why don't you go back to your finance for dummys book and get back to me....I was being realistic....

D.O.

Ummmmmm understand the buying power of the Gay community is OVER 500 BILLION DOLLARS... That is half of one TRILLION DOLLARS!

If they tap only 1/10 of 1 % of the 500 Billion, we are now worth 500 MILLION DOLLARS...

At 5/10 of 1 % we are now worth 2.5 Billion dollars...

at just 1% of the 500 Billion spending power (assuming we only reach 1% of that market) we are worth 5 billion dollars.... WITH ALL THE SHARES AUTHORIZED, WE WOULD BE WORTH .25-.35 Cents, with no over value.

At just 3% of the 500 billion spending power, that places us at 15 Billion value, hence your 1 dollar a share...

BET was bought out in the BILLIONS of dollars and that was almost 10 years ago for a BLACK Tv Network... The black spending power is less then that of the Gay community seeing how many black families also have children, where as only 20% of Gay couples have children (that 20% was from the US Census that recorded Gay households)...

If black entertainment can be bought for billions, what would a 24/7 Gay Nework get 8-10 years after BET?!?!?!?

No problem, I am not attacking you, I am just saying. Many people here are wary of 'New Members', you know? Sorry that is how it is...

Qbid is doing fine, and at .006 you have an excellent entry price

Buy cmkx if you haven't, just my opinion however, it will be a 'hit' stock!

Since its slow and not to beat a dead horse look how many complaints Viacom got for that superbowl incident. And I can't wait until they get sued for something on LOGO.

During the 2004 Super Bowl, Janet Jackson's breast was exposed during her halftime duet with Justin Timberlake. Viacom's CBS television network, which aired the show, and Viacom's MTV, which produced the halftime show, apologized for what they describe as an `unscripted moment.' CBS estimates that some 140 million Americans tuned into the game, which would make it the most-watched Super Bowl in history. FCC Chairman Michael C. Powell issued a statement the following morning, calling the incident a `classless, crass and deplorable stunt' and instructed the Commission to open an immediate investigation on its own motion. The FCC has received more than 500,000 complaints about the Super Bowl halftime show. Chairman Powell's probe could result in fines against CBS's 20 owned and operated stations and the more than 200 affiliate stations that aired the broadcast. If the Commission levies the maximum $27,500 fine, CBS affiliates would have to pay $5.5 million, about the cost of two Super Bowl ads, while CBS, through its owned stations, would be fined approximately $550,000.

Off topic-

Yesterday I got some GXXL. They're giving a stock dividend of 1 share of FNRP for every 5 shares of GXXL (record date is tomorrow). THEN, GXXL is doing a forward split of 10-to-1.

So my 50k shares will get me 10k shares of FNRP for free, and then turn into 500k shares of GXXL.

GXXL seems to be getting business, but I can't find anything out about FNRP. However, it seemed like a decent lottery ticket.

Problem is, I noticed there are very few of the usual faces on that thread, and that worries me. Did you all pass on that one? Did I do yet another bad thing?

A little more recent:

July 1, 2004 © 2004 Media Life

Viacom faces fat fine over Jackson boober

FCC staff: $550,000 levy for Super Bowl stunt

As expected, Viacom will receive a hefty fine for the Janet Jackson breast exposure during February’s Super Bowl halftime that sparked the ongoing indecency debate in this election year.
It will be the biggest fine ever levied on a TV broadcaster, $550,000 against the 20 Viacom-owned CBS stations that aired the incident.
The $550,000 figure comes from an FCC staff recommendation to its commissioners. The recommendation advises that only Viacom’s CBS-owned stations, and not the country's other 180 or so other CBS affiliates, receive the fine.
Viacom owns CBS and MTV, the producer of the halftime show in which Jackson so infamously bared her breast at the end of her performance, covered by a nipple shield and nothing else.
FCC indecency standards prohibit the broadcast of sexual or excretory-related material from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., when kids may be watching or listening. The halftime show aired in the 9 p.m. hour.
Viacom immediately apologized and Jackson insisted it was an accident, but the FCC received more than 500,000 complaints about the flash. Since then the commission has been considering what action to take against Viacom and how much it could possibly fine it.
The investigation reportedly cleared Viacom and CBS of any advance knowledge of the stunt, placing most of the blame on Jackson and co-performer Justin Timberlake. Nearly 90 million people watched the Super Bowl.
The fine still needs to be approved by the FCC’s five commissioners, but since chairman Michael Powell was one of the first to call for an investigation, complaining after he and his family watched the show, it seems doubtful the fine will be reduced by the full commission.
It will be only the third time in history that the FCC has fined a broadcast entity for indecency. But it won’t be the biggest fine ever levied. Clear Channel paid $1.75 million to settle several complaints earlier this year, many stemming from Howard Stern’s radio show.
The FCC is set to vote on the fine in the next few weeks.

"Our current financing has no way diluted the stock. This financing was obtained through Frank Olsen personally. And is in no way related to our stock."

This is not good. The pr was good saying we got 1mill in backing. this hotline update means Frank dumped in 1 mill of his own. No one new has come to the table saying I believe in Q and Frank, heres a million. It's just more miss-direction from Frank the "I tanked the Q" Olsen!
Still holding and still B/tching

WOW... so what's with all the little tiny buys/ sells?

I mean if they were some sort of signal... what in the heck could they be signalling? It's not like we're getting much flux in movement.

Wierd.

I was thinking about the whole 1 mil loan vs. the "we're secure for the next 5 years" bit. What if the do have the money for the next 5 years... however what if the loan was more to help with the buyback? (which I am assuming still is happening even though we haven't heard anything in a while). That would make sense especially with the prices this low right now.

What say ya'll?

Of course as always... I'm pretty new at this and have been know to fly blind on more than one occasion.

So what do you think?
Do you think all it means is that Frank secured a million dollar loan from himself? That shouldn't be too hard to do! If it's true, that's pretty funny (and kind of sad considering I'm a stockholder)!
