I don't know if they'll take a complaint from a Canadian seriously. You already got NAFTA, relax.

Can "SMOMEONE" confirm that Comcast, a major carrier has confirmed they are carrying QTN. If so, that is a major buy signal. If not it is a major pumper identifier.

I will attempt to as soon as Suz posts the number she called. Funny how she is the first one to confirm carriage, when there has been numerous posts from various people who have been told by Comcast that they have never heard of it....Still waiting for that number. I smell a pumper.

The more requests a cable company gets about a new network the more likely that they will not only look into it but carry it as well. I called the following companies and made a request to carry the Q Television Network QNT. (QBID)

My conversation with COX CABLE was a bit more extensive. The first guy said that COX carries a lot of different programming and would probably carry the Q Television Network in the future even though he didn't know about it. I was transferred to another person who said that the more requests they get than the more likely they would carry a particular channel.

DIRECTV
-For existing customers dial 1-800-494-4388
-For new customers dial 1-800-238-7177

COMCAST

COX CABLE
-San Diego area dial 1-800-221-4188

WHEN YOU CALL THESE #'S. GET # TO CALL IN YOUR AREA. PLEASE TALK TO EXECTIVE IN YOUR AREA. MAYBE THAT WILL HELP.

PennyTrader, kbpkt and friends:
For your convenience, I pulled this info from page 36 of the thread. If anyone calls Comcast and is told that none of the Comcast areas are providing QTV, get the name and extension number and post it. They RECORD all calls. PennyTrader, I posted a confirmation from Comcast last night and again this afternoon. You spend hours doing research, call them. Then you will not have to stay up all night doing research for you 4 shares. If you continue to say that we don't have a confirmation, you are making a false statement against Comcast and against me. I called and confirmed July 1, 2004-- QBID IS AVAILABL IN SOME AREAS ON COMCAST including my area. Once again, if you want the truth, pick up your phone and check it out--it's a free call.

a guy on the phone telling you that they probably will is not a conformation to me.

and another saying that the more request the better does not tell me that it is available.

if it is available to you today why are you having to call back at a later time tro subscribe? that to me indicated that it is not available yet.

quit making all these phone calls. Especially asking other people to make them. If you think it's a scam get out. There are no hooks in your posterior. I for one don't want to listen to the crackpot private detectives we have on this board.

Once again, please post your zip code. I don't live in a Comcast area and can't get through without the zip code. When you call the 1-800 number you need a zip code or to be calling from a phone that is in their area. Provide me with a zip code and will be happy to check on your claim.

Hey Suzainiee,

What area are you at. I kept calling yesterday and it is not available in our area. San Francisco California. One would think that it would be one of the first areas that it would be available.

Poor rutti, he came onboard this train and now he is the scapegoat taking the heat off the others--great plan--inconsistent acting, though. It would be funny to me if it wasn't so sad/sick. Back to the real world, Comcast numbers were posted earlier today, several pages back. When you call, ask inwhich areas QTV will be broadcasting. I called last night (and slept well). A sharp young man (David, ex 4416) asked my zip code and said that the mailings for QTV in my area are being prepared and wanted me to upgrade to HD and other features when I call in my order. (Hmmmm, just like someone else posted earlier. Seems like somebody owes someone else an apology , but that will never happen, will it?) He gave me his extension number (twice) to be sure that he gets the commission when I order (he will). Did anyone ever really expect the competiton to offer QTV before they get their network on the air in 05? If so, I have some property, and I'll give you a great deal on it today. I just made another QBID purchase. Keep on bashing and bickering. Then, I will buy again. Oh, poor bashers--you really do have to work 24/7 don't you--even on holiday weekends? Hope everyone else has a relaxing, fun-filled, safe holiday. Don't forget to call Comcast----we really launched--not everywhere. . . . yet. I should have called earlier. You can be good to yourself, and make that call, get some facts and peace of mind.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA, GLTA, Go QBID!!!!!

Thank you for getting back to us. I'm attempting to call now. My area does not offer QTV by any name & they are telling me the main offices are closed. Please tell me what area you live in.

I just tried calling the Comcast Corporate Office (215-665-1700) and they have a tape recording stating the business hours as if I was calling after hours. Could be they're on holiday today???? The Comcast in my area didn't know anything about the Q.

I think we should try contacting the home office next week. Sorry I didn't think of this before today.

why are you guys making all these phone calls? There is a reason that we can't get any PR. Sit tight and go do something else. All your going to do is keep stirring the water for yourself and everyone else that sitting on hot coals. WE will find out soon enough. Relaxe. go see the fireworks, wash clothes, go grocery shopping, take your kids to the beach.

Ok I'll bite

So I called the 800 number. I pressed 2 since comcast is not in my area. I entered in this number : (215) 463-1100 obtained from the superpages listing at verizon for one of comcast's numbers.

I then entered number 1 for adding or removing services. I got a nice woman on the phone named Dale at extension 245. She informed me that the only new channel that they are adding to their lineup in the area is TCM. Turner Classic Movies. Channel will be available starting September of this year. No news about a gay and lesbian tv network. I asked if she was sure and said she would remember something of the sort. She also stated that customers in the area would know of a new channel being advertised 45 days in advance.

As for the they record all calls. I doubt it - maybe a sample of the calls throughout the day for "qality assurance"

Either way - these guys are not offering it - at least not in the next 45 days.
