No kidding, what you see on the website blows. You can't see movie or game covers. How hard is it to upload pictures of dvd and game covers to the site? Hell, they could even copy and paste them off of Netflix!

Exactly...When you go to any genre..it starts from A and you have to keep scrolling and scrolling and scrolling to look at movies. And most don't have pictures of the covers.. Where as Netflix gives you the most popular of every genre when you click...Just much much easier to navigate through...I am tellin ya...I had to drop my service...Although my videos did come within 2 days...I couldn't ever get any of the newest releases...I have already told this a page or two back but i know ppl don't like to look over all the post..anyhow....good luck

Well, this is a new business trying to get going. And if anyone has started a new business they would understand that. But for those who think Netflix is all that read my next couple post. Scratched non readable dvd'S. dvd'S NOT ORDERED. Lost DVD's and blame customers. Not answering customer complaints. and More. Netflix took 2 year to work out its bugs in its web site and ours have only been up (version 2) for 2 months. Come on. It takes time and money.

NetFlix customers - What do they say about Netflix.

8/6/01 1:02 PM (1 of 1 users found this review helpful)
I live on the east coast. I joined in Dec 2000 with high hopes and high expectations. I was very disappointed. The service was always slow and most of the movies I selected had very long waiting periods. It was easier to find available titles at the local rental outlets. I couldn't stand wasting my money any longer. I cancelled service after about 4 months and I am very glad I did.

I agree with most comments above. Service is slow and waits are long, but it is convenient to have the videos. We subscribe to six and usually have 3 to 4 available.

However, recently I have noted that new releases simply show up on their website as unavailable. It makes we wonder if they are going out of business and simply not ordering new titles

New user for about a month. No problem geting the DVD's. But 2 out of 5 rentals have never been acknowledged as recieved by NetFlix. Seems kinda strange. They come to me alright but they don't seem to make it back. Using the same envelope. Hmmmm......

Netflix DVD rental ripoff charging me for a dvd that i never receiveed and i reported that i didn't get it ripoff waste of time SAN JOSE California
Netflix DVD rental (Category: Liars )
Date Created: 4/13/2002 10:58:51 AM (Last Modified:4/13/2002 10:58:51 AM )

I rented some movies the ones that I received was not my first choice.
I wrote to them and told them that i dind't receive one of the movies that they were going to charge me for so they took out the twenty dollars for three rentals but i only receive two, then after i reported that i didn't receive one of the movies to close my account they told me they were going to charge my credit card anather twenty dollars, and thats not right because i didn't receive the third movie.
Plus they state you rent all the movies you want for twenty dollars a month but turn around and onlt send you three per month.
so that is adifferent from what they said.
and i don't want them to charge my card again.

08/11/2002 Entry: "NetFlix sucks"

Well, it's official.....Netflix sucks. Of the first 3 DVDs I got 2 of them were scratched so badly that my player would freeze up over and over. ARRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!

What the hell are people doing with these discs....using them to scrape paint off of concrete?

I suppose it doesn't help that Netflix ships them out in a thin paper sleeve.

Too bad. I really had high hopes for this service as you simply CANNOT rent DVDs of many films that are more than a few years old around here & I can barely tolerate VHS anymore.

I had thought about trying Netflix, until I saw a story on them on one of the many "prime time news" TV shows. They showed those flimsy envelopes you referred to. I knew the DVDs wouldn't survive the post office, let alone those users who treat the merchandise as if it were indestructable.

Another customer, lost. The continuing story of American business.

Posted by Wastrel @ 08/21/2002 09:59 PM CST

Why haven't you updated this to reflect that it wasn't Netflix, but your crappy Panasonic DVD player that now won't play *any* DVD for more than 20 minutes?

Posted by Glocksman @ 09/03/2002 01:23 AM CST

To Glocksman:

I haven't updated this because I stand by my original assertion that Netflix sucks! It's true that my Panasonic is going south. ( BUT, it can and does play "normal" non "scratch & dent" discs (including BlockBuster rentals) for about 45 minutes before it locks up.....Netflix discs only last about 15 minutes.

Now, is it true that a non screwed DVD player may not have a problem with Netflix DVDs? Possibly, maybe...WHO KNOWS? I'm not willing to gamble with it again. It's VERY frustrating to get 15 minutes into a movie and then NOT be able to finish it. Not fun.

As I said I stand behind my original post. From my admittedly limited experience Netflix discs are shipped in a flimsy mailer and tend to be pretty scratched up.

Posted by WebHobbit @ 09/03/2002 09:24 PM CST

I joined Netflix and 1 of the first 3 'free' DVD rentals never made it back to them and now I have to pay for it. Let me wanr you Netflix is a scam. They never replied my emails and there is no phone number to call!

Netflix is a scam!!!!
Netflix sucks!
Boycott Netflix!

Posted by Reed Napier @ 12/26/2002 11:19 AM CST

I was a NetFlix member for only a month. Within that month I had 4 DVDs that I sent back which NetFlix claimed they never received. I had to cancel my membership because I didn't want NetFlix to think I was stealing DVDs or end up paying for them. Something is definitely very wrong with NetFlix's handling of returned DVDs. I rather deal with Blockbuster and pay higher prices than deal with NetFlix's unpredictable service.

Posted by Farrah Carr @ 01/12/2003 01:09 AM CST

In my two months of service I had to report 6 DVDs lost, since they never arrived. AFTER reporting them lost, I received TWO discs of the same movies together (not in the same envelope, but in the same delivery). When I asked Netflix about this (by email, just try finding their phone number on the site...) they said that I should file a report with USPS. This obviously is NOT a USPS problem, since the DVDs are not really lost, but are not sent out until reported lost!
I changed my mailing address to my office, hoping this will solve the problem, and now 1 out of every 2 DVDs I mail Netflix gets lost in the mail. I just got an email from them that they are putting my account on hold, since 6 DvDs are "lost".

Posted by Vic @ 01/31/2003 12:03 PM CST

While Netflix in the beginning was great - lightning fast service, great selection, etc...now that they have started advertising on TV they can't hang...Never is anything resembling a new release available, and even some older movies with limited appeal have a "long wait". I cancelled. Too bad, as it is a great idea.

Netflix Complaints
http://www.dallasartsrevue.com/moveees/Mov-netflix-X.shtml - Details below

I've been a NetFlix member thrice now. You'd think that, from what all I know about them, I wouldn't keep coming back — "twice burnt, learnt", you'd think. As incredibly convenient as it can be, NetFlix cheats, lies and steals.

But so does everybody else...

I'll probably continue this membership till I can't find anything else I want to see badly enough to put it in my queue, anymore. That's what happened last time — the first time I quit angry.

http://www.manuelsweb.com/netflix.htm - A few examples please go to link for more. A must read:

My Disappointment with Netflix
October 2003

I've recently upgraded to the $40 plan which allows the customer to have 8 DVDs out in hopes this would decrease my wait time. Well, I'm still waiting. Initially, I was quite satisfied with their service: DVDs were arriving in the mail in a timely manner about twice a week. This was with their standard $20 plan. I'm not sure what's changed but DVD shipments trickled down to once a week. That's when I upgraded to the $40 plan. I had hopes the $40 plan would keep DVDs arriving at my door throughout the week but that hasn't happened. Read my journal to hear the latest news.

By the way. How are these DVDs getting so scratched up anyways? Do people scrub their floors with them.

Recipe for making a Netflix rental DVD

Buy one perfectly brand new DVD
Lightly scour the DVD with fine sand paper
Grab a kitchen fork and randomly gouge the DVD - just a few times and not too deep
You're done! Bon appetite!

http://www.webhobbit.net/archives/00000009.html

http://www.consumeraffairs.com/entertainment/netflix_quality.html

Eddie of Sacramento CA writes (1/31/03):
Absolutely despicable wait times for new DVD releases. For the first 6-8 weeks, I always received the movies I requested. Since then, every new release I request is at least a short wait and most are a long or very long wait (which amounts to 2-3 months to receive the DVD requested). No matter the price, nobody wants to wait 3 months to view a new release - especially when you can run down to Blockbuster and rent it within a week of its release. Netflix has a monthly churn rate of 7% which means they lose 84% of their customers annually - a recipe for disaster and if they hope to remain in existence, they should ensure they have enough of the new releases on hand to satisfy all of their subscribers.

Ador of Fairfield CA writes (10/24/01):
I have been a member of Netflix Movie Rental since August 2001. For the first two months the average movies viewed were 17 a month; in the month of October my monthly average suddenly dropped tremendously, as of the 24th I only viewed 5 movies.

I inquired through the customer service on Oct 21 (Sun) to find out the reason for nonshipment or replacement of movies received. I was informed to call back on weekdays to speak to their supervisor. The next day Oct 22 (Mon) I called the customer service and I was informed that my membership was suspended, and provided no reason.

In reviewing my membership terms and conditions, upon their receipt of movies replacement should have been mailed the next business day. My membership allows me to have 3 movies out at a time for $21.37 a month. My records indicate one movie was returned and received by Netflix on Oct 6 and the other 2 were returned and received on Oct 10, neither one has been replaced to present.

A clear indication of breach of contract with the paying customer. Their theme, watch all movies you want, is misleading.

It will take some time to work out the bugs believe me. You have two things you can do in the mean time. 1: understand this and buy the stock whiles its cheap. or 2: Not want to wait for them to work out the bugs and leave. Its that simple. Because if you think the bugs will be gone anytime real soon then you are kidding yourself and need to move on. Netflix took time and BlockBuster had the money of Viacom and there prior business to get it going. We started with little money and still not much time so it will take time. If we had money and backing then we wouldn't be a penny stock. Pennies are hope and dreams of small time ventures hoping to become big and great and that doesn't happen over night.

By the way Netflix is down 55% too. Blockbusters entry hurt us all but there is room. Now all we need is time to build a little company into a giant.

Sunny - There is a couple reason the price is down. It started with the market itself. Like QBID the stock went down alot. It followed most pennies. People on vacation, politics effecting the market. Feds rose rates. Oil prices and the middle east problems and just the normal August slump.

But what happen next was the killer. After we went down and was hit hard by the market, Blockbuster came in and launched there new web site (too bad they didn't do it as the market was going down)driving pps down even further. No one is really selling though, just look at volume.

IMO, I think that once everyone gets inot the game again and the pennies start moving that we will move too. It will take a little time but once we get to see numbers and the pennies get going we will run.

Gameznflix Inc     (OTC BB: GZFX) Last Update: 12:19:00 PM ET Aug 27, 2004

GameZnFlix Prepares a New Series of Commercial Spots for the Upcoming NFL Season

FRANKLIN, Ky., Aug 27, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- GameZnFlix, Inc. (GZFX) announced today that it has given the go ahead to AdSouth Partners, Inc. (ADPR) to begin production on a series of new commercial spots for the upcoming football season.

With one spot already completed, featuring Lenny Krayzelburg, now a four-time Olympic Gold Medalist on the U.S. Olympic swim team, Gabe Woodward, another U.S. Swim Team member, and former two-time Gold Medalist Bradley Schumacher, the additional commercial spots will be centered around sports figure endorsements and are planned to run through February of 2005.

Gary Hohman, COO of AdSouth Partners Inc., stated, "We believe that the initial branding campaign we developed for GameZnFlix will start to take hold and with this new series of commercial spots the trend for new membership signups can now take effect." Hohman also added, "This stage two marketing strategy is right on time. With Blockbuster entering the online rental arena, consumers are even more aware of this convenient platform, and GameZnFlix will benefit from the exposure the other competitors bring to the public eye."

John Fleming, CEO/President of GameZnFlix, Inc., stated, "Today we are pleased to announce that AdSouth will begin the production of our second Fall/Winter lineup of television advertising for the upcoming football season. We have been in the planning stages for several months now and look forward to seeing the results of the joint efforts of GameZnFlix and AdSouth Partners. The series of spots will take our Fall/Winter campaign right through February of 2005 to complete the NFL season."

GameZnFlix is a company that offers both DVD movies/video game rentals or purchase on the Internet with access to over about 28,000 games and movie titles. Beginning at $18.50 a month subscribers can rent a combination of both DVD movies and/or games with no late fees or due dates or members can purchase DVD titles at discount.

Did you know that lovefilm and video island are from UK. If you can't even do good dd then why post except to bash. Yes there are several trying to start but most don't have many dvd's to choose from. Most listed are also other country's or more regional dealers. Also most here are not as long as you want. Have some that are 7 day rentals $10.99 for plus 2.99 for each addl.

Yes there are several to choose from and most won't make it past Netflix, Blockbuster or Wal-Mart. The reason people are trying to place hope in this one is a couple reason:

1) National Ads
2) DVD's plus Games in one package

These are pennies and investors are coming in at there own risk and I for one think this one has a chance.

Do your own dd. I have done mine.

No, not a member. started to, but my wife went into hospital for three months with renal failure and rejection, lost a kidney transplant she got in 1991. Spend most of the time taking care of her. Home now doing home dialysis. So spend what little time I have with my 4 year yr old and research on computer mostly at night when they go to sleep.

Please don't call me a basher, I'm just another pissed off (at the whole market) investor and current (free) subscriber and their overall service is not helping a bit.

Well, didn't mean to call a basher, meant it as bashing, but know how you feel. I take up for this one. Been with it for a while now. I know you have been around awhile and know your not a paid basher. I have taken a good hit too, but not only on this one. I just think its more market and Blockbuster myself. This is a Penny that I think can make it. I just look at it this way. Its a little company thats trying real hard. I like the effort and hope it works out in the end. It's down but not out.

Please don't call me a basher, I'm just another pissed off (at the whole market) investor and current (free) subscriber and their overall service is not helping a bit.

As I said, The main reason that I tink this will go from a little company to a big time one is the fact that they are willing to get the message out. National big time ads. Gotta love this.

Not many pennies make it out of the basement but I think this one can and will. JMHO

That's good news! They will now have 5 months to be sure the website is running smoothly, and can handle the million plus hits they're going to get after the commercial. I see the market is happy with the news too, stock is up 21%.

But this says it all! Actually it says much more than meets the eye. This is nothing short of conviction to business plan & seeing this thing through.

For me,,,All doubts removed!

Over a dollar early next year.

And how did you expect to pay for Super Bowl Ad? Never see you in here before and you come in to save us I see. Oh well, I don't understand how you think a penny stock can survive without money and unfortunately this is a way to get some.

I am not worried for one. Holding long.
